This is not my style of hotel. Technology in the room is overdone; this is not conducive to a 'homely ambience'. Admission to the hotel by computer was unnecessary because the staff had to help us when the technology failed to do the job. Staff were great; technology was mostly superfluous and pretentious.

Rooms were very clean and we'll maintained. Wonderful showers. The common areas on the first floor were very pleasant and relaxing. However, the room was very small and there was little space to hang up clothes. There were no smaller drawers to store personal items and valuables. Not really a room to relax in during the day.

I enjoyed the stay very much. There is not a lot of space in the rooms, but very large and comfortable bed. Great showers too. Would love to have made a tea or coffee in the room, but no facilities provided

Overall very pleased with hotel .But had a complaint about cleanliness ,spoke to housekeeping who assured me it would be dealt with ,they tried to make me think it had been done when in fact it hadn't ,so they where being very deceptive and untrustworthy ,think that then reflects on the hotel ,which is a shame as overall staff where very helpful and trustworthy as soon as I informed management problem was dealt with ,I feel it should have been dealt with truthfully by housekeeping in the first instance . Great shower in rooms

Positive stuff - huge, comfortable bed and great shower. Ironing rooms at the end of the corridor. Short walk to Caledonian University, the bus station, the shopping centre and various entertainment venues (try the Pot Stil on Hope Street if you like whisky). Negative stuff - couldn't turn the wake up alarm off as it seemed to be app controlled and the app kept freezing. Managed to turn the sound down instead. No kettle in the room - no matter how modern and trendy the hotel I still think this is essential. Tea and coffee were available to buy from the first floor cafe.

Great room, with a remote control to choose the lighting atmosphere et close the shutters. Everything looked like the pictures I had seen. Only one criticism : the breakfast buffet is mainly "local" (beans, bacon, eggs...). I would have liked to have "continental" options.

Centrally located and beautifully fitted out hotel. The decor is modern and the focus is on tech. Many of the features of the room, including the lighting and blinds are controlled using a single remote control unit that also doubles as the tv remote. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Checking in and out using the automated units was easy and quick. Staff were always available to assist. Will definitely return.

Excellent stay. To be frank, this is a hotel designed for the loved-up. The bedroom is almost more bed than room - the little shower pod is brilliant - the service and prices throughout the hotel amazing. We had such a good stay that we might return to Glasgow solely to stay in the hotel!

The king-size bed, amount of light in the room, the sheer techy-ness and modernity of design was admirable. I enjoyed my 3 night stay. Warning: not a hotel for technophobes for all their highly-touted "ambassadors"

Really good value for money. "Technology" hotel. I wanted a comfortable, reasonably priced hotel and I got it. Better value for money than others I've stayed at and a good experience. I'd stay again. Free internet and movies, ipod dock and 'mood' lighting if I wanted to select it. Big comfortable bed and reasonable in house facilities. Helpful staff.

This was our first stay at CitizenM. We chose this hotel because of the reasonable rate and excellent reviews. We were not disappointed. As soon as we got off the elevator we were greeted by a very friendly and helpful staff member. As we arrived at the hotel at 6:30 AM no rooms were available as the hotel was fully booked. Our luggage was stored in the luggage room and we went out for breakfast, returning a couple of hours later. We then hung around the hotel for another hour or so when the staff member cheerfully told us our room was ready. She then helped us with the very slick self serve check in. CitizenM is very central to the bus station as well as Queen Street and Central rail stations and the city center. The rooms are small, but well equipped. The lobby and lounge rooms are welcoming with lots of comfortable seating and 4 Mac computers for guests to use. I should also mention the king size bed in our room was very comfortable. My wife and I do not hesitate to recommend CitizenM to anyone who wants a reasonably priced, well located, welcoming hotel. We are staying at CitizenM again in two weeks when we return to Glasgow.

The hotel concept is one which may have considerable appeal to the young traveller but less so to people of our age (we are both over 60). Concerns There was hardly any hanging space in the room, thus making the hotel only suitable for one or perhaps two nights’ stay at most (we stayed three nights). We got very wet one afternoon and it was very hard to hang our wet clothes up anywhere to dry There was a lack of hotel information in the room and about the hotel - e.g. breakfast times and arrangements (see below). The information on the TV in the room was too general about the hotel concept, not specific. There was no rubbish bin in room. Does the new, young CitizenM never need to dispose of a newspaper, used subway tickets etc? There was no hot drink making facility in room. Maybe this is something the young CitizenM traveller does not value, but we missed it. There was no shaver point in the room, a very strange omission, I think! It was very difficult to shave bent over holding the shaver plug in the socket and with no mirror in range! Does the new, young CitizenM never need to shave? Having almost everything electrical in the room controlled by one remote was fine ... as long as the remote worked. On several occasions, however, it froze and we couldn’t change TV channels, for example. Breakfast The breakfast rules were not displayed anywhere and it was not clear what we had paid for when we pre-paid. How can a continental breakfast (orange juice, croissant, coffee) cost more than £6 and be liable to a supplement? Why do you not charge a flat-rate for breakfast, hot or cold? And why do you not provide unlimited tea/coffee for breakfast? The arrangements struck me as penny-pinching and spoilt the pleasure of breakfast. It was very poor indeed to be provided with plastic cutlery, and it was difficult to eat the cooked breakfast with it. In addition, the cooked breakfast was no more than luke warm when collected and by the t
