exterior
The Hotel Palladio is a small family-run property, created after a careful restoration of a big house from the early 20th century, and still mantaining the furnishings and atmosphere typical of that period.
The property is located on the seafront in Giardini Naxos historic centre, right in front of the beach, with views of the magnificent Naxos bay (the first Greek colony in Sicily).
Thanks to its strategic position, 3 km from Taormina and excellently connected by public transportation, it is the ideal starting point to visit Sicily.
Hotel features include a terrace with bar, a sundeck with large lava-stone shower, a reading lounge, a sea-view breakfast veranda and Internet corner.

Great place to stay if you are visiting Taormina as it gets you away from the expensive hotels up on the 'hill'. If you have a car it is easier to park it at Giardini Naxos than to find a parking spot at Taormina.(Just have a heap of Euro coins for the parking metre) You can get a bus to Taormina about 50 metres distance from the hotel for about 2.50 Euro return. Ideal place also if you wish to visit Mt Etna which is about 35 minutes by car. The hotel staff are very friendly and obliging, and the restaurant has good quality food- even though it can be a bit expensive. Overall, we were very happy with this hotel, and would stay there again if we are in the area. RS - Australia

Our friends told us to go to Taoromina, which is a fancy touristy spot. They encouraged us to stay in Giadini Naxos, because it's NOT as touristy and is a lot less expensive. It's absolutely gorgeous. Hotel Palladio in Giadini Naxos is across the small street to the ocean. Waves crash and you can hear them if you open your window. We had the junior suite which had one room for my husband and me and one room for our daughters. We all shared a very nice bathroom. Both of the rooms had a terrace overlooking the ocean and the town square. I received a lovely email from LuAnna telling us how much they looked forward to our stay. When we got there late at night Antonella was the lovely. She warmly welcomed us, helped us park our rental car, got us settled in the rooms and guided us to wonderful restaurants. Then ....as every seasoned traveler knows...not all goes as planned. A flash flood, mud slide hit the town hard and our rental car too! In the morning LuAnna was there. She spoke to Hertz rental for us, as they were speaking very advanced Italian. She also helped with the tow truck driver...I don't know what we would have done with out her. She was absolutely wonderful. As we left, the owner of the hotel (a lovely woman, whose mother owned the property as a large house at one point and was the painter of lovely murals in the halls) gave us a jar of jam. Somehow, we got it back home to Minnesota with out it breaking and we are still enjoying it! I would come back to Hotel Palladio in a heartbeat!

This is a excellent hotel right at the sea-front. We had a sea-view room with a small balcony, which was well worth the extra price and we enjoyed the view of the beach and street live. The regular sound of the surf cancels most of the street noise. Hotel internal noise is minimal. The rooms are superb, beautifully furnished, spacious and clean. The breakfast was excellent and plentiful, the breakfast room with view over beach/water was a joy in the morning. We had dinner at the hotel only once, because we wanted to explore other restaurants in Giardini-Naxos as well. The dinner at the roof garden of the hotel was excellent. The hotel also serves lots of different hors d'oeuvres, together with cocktails on the terrace each evening at 7.00pm. We used the hotel as a hub for day trips in the area: Aetna North and South side, the island of Volcano from Milazzo, Siracusa, Taormina, Agrigento (Valle dei Templi). Lack of free hotel parking is complained about in several hotel reviews, however this is not really a problem. We paid for our rental car from Catania airport a maximum of 10 Euros for parking in the blue zone (0.6 Euros per hour from 8 - 24). So add this amount to your hotel costs and the problem is solved. The hotel is well worth the price and we can recommend it without restrictions. We would definitely return. Overall, this hotel exceeded our expectations.

The hotel is on the main beach road in G Naxos so has lovely views from the Roof Terrace and Breakfast Room. We had an exceptional welcome and the quality of the hospitality and food was superb. The room was clean, light and well decorated. We stayed in 5 hotels in Sicily and this was the cheapest and the best.

The perfect spot.So close to many popular sites and cities that day trips are easy and to return to the laid back Gardini Naxos is a pleasure.. Everything you need in walking distance. The hotel staff is incredible, as is the food. A drive around Mt. Etna a must, don't miss Bronte for pistaccio arancini, Taormina for upscale shopping and shows, the clock tower at he duomo in Messina at noon every day is a show, with Ave Maria played. Staff advice was always reliable..

We stayed at this hotel for 6 nights and had a very nice time. We had our one year old toddler with us and this is how we learned that the floor wasn't really clean. But this really doesn't mean that the place was dirty! Just not clean enough for a crawnling toddler. The view from the rooms is really great, but I was a bit disappointed that we payed more for this view, but we ended up right in front of the reception, which was very loud. But it looks like they change the position of the reception to the ground floor which will solve the problem. The breakfast was good, but not as great as we expected it after reading the desciption on the internet. A real plus is the friendly staff. They were very helpfull and nice.

Palladium staff has made some ethical choices in organization and so they use equo-solidal products, fresh and locale vegetables and they help filantropic associations. Kind, efficient employes, excellent cousine, familiar, warm, generous climate make the stay confortable and unforgettable even much more than other five stars hotels. I wouldn' t go in Giardini Naxos for a holiday but Palladium hotel could make the travel worth

Access to the property was a little confusing. The staff at all levels were excellent in the welcome and information / advice offered. The rooms were quite spacious and in good general overall condition. The restaurant offering were exceptional, only fresh ingredients used based on what you ordered at breakfast time. Whilst at Giardini we only ate at the hotel, by choice, best restaurant in town.

As a couple, late 50s, we enjoyed the personal service from the management team and staff who obviously take pride in providing a really special stay at the Palladio. It is a charming hotel with a character all its own. Had expected a slightly larger room but had a sea view with a tiny terrace so it was fine. Terrace restaurant/bar area delightful and happy hour for apetisers was a treat (the freshly squeezed tangerine cocktails were delicious also but had to be paid for). Certain that great pride is taken with all food served at restaurant. Breakfast room with view over beach/water was a joy in the morning. Within a bus ride of Taomina and walking distance to an array of other eateries and most importantly only over the road from the free beach and the lido next door (they had arrangement with hotel for cheaper rate). All the management team were extremely helpful and easy to deal with. Would definitely return and recommend.

The family were very sad when we said the food was a bit basic "tourist". They had tried to make it better. I'm sure they will as they are lovely people. Parking is a problem and needs a bit more attention on the website. Plus the hotel's entrance is around the back. The sat-nav takes you to the redundant front door!

Friendly, welcoming, staff couldn't do enough to help. Do spend the extra few Euros for a sea view - it's well worth it. Not luxurious accomodation, but clean, simple and comfortable room made this hotel superb value for money. For 2 of our 5 night stay we took the half board option. The food was absolutely superb, as well as authentically Sicillian. Public transport links are excellent.

This was a delightful place to stay. Yes, it is on the main road with a gas station between the hotel and the sea, but the location was so nice that those quibbles did not matter. We really felt we were guests in a very nice home. Breakfasts were bountiful and eaten in a a very pleasant room overlooking the sea. We were lucky with nice weather in early December which made it a good time to visit the area. The location make for easy access to Etna and Taormina. With a car it makes more sense to stay in Giardini than in Taormina although in high season it might be difficult to get around anywhere. Without a car, I think this hotel might be hard to reach.

We are backpackers, so I always choose a hotel that is reasonably close, within easy walking distance to a train station. This hotel fit the bill. I think it took us 20 or so minutes to walk from the train station and the hotel was very easy to find. I also like to choose hotels that are close to, but not in a main tourist attraction, since the prices are markedly lower. Again, this hotel was perfect because it cost much less than a hotel in Taormina. Also,it only cost one euro 30 for a bus ride to Taormina and the bus stop was right across the street. We had a sea view room (granted the view included a gas station), but it was fun to watch the people interact. How often do you kiss the gas station attendant in the US. for example? In Giardini Naxos, quite often apparently. All in all, if you don't expect the Ritz (how could you at the price), you won't be disappointed.

This is a lovely, slightly quirky, hotel. We received a wonderful welcome. All the staff were extremely friendly and efficient. Breakfast was very good - plentiful and with lots of choices. Dinner, which was served on the roof top terrace, was excellent and good value - €25 per person. One of the receptionists was extremely helpful to us when we wanted to change our car hire arrangements. The only downside was that the air conditioning broke down on our last night but there was really nothing that could be done about that.

Giardini Naxos is beautifull village on the coast, near Taormina with cristally blue see. Hotel Palladio is just on the coast. We have been situated on the fourth floor, in suite named Octagono. It was very spacious room, with small terace looking on the sea. The employees were very competance, the food excellent. We loved this hotel. The staff was very friendly, even offering to drive us to the train station when we were running late. A room with a sea view includes a balcony, which is great since the ocean is just across the street. Breakfast room is pretty and also overlooks the ocean. This was a charming hotel with really welcoming staff. The room (Green double) was very spacious and comfortable, being thoughtfully decorated. It was slightly noisy on the main road - but we managed to shut most of the noise out, quite a feat when Italy won the world cup! Breakfast and breakfast room was excellent and the sun terrace and evening aperitif was a lovely touch. Only slight disappointment was that we hadn't expected the resort to be quite as large and commercial as it was. The fact that there weren't many details in English to be found on this resort during our holiday research led us to believe it was small and unspoilt! But we still had a lovely holiday- despite a bit of rain and sicilian thunderstorms :)

Excellent hotel. At least 3 star. The staff was exceptionally friendly and went out of their way to make our stay pleasant. (made restaurant reservations, looked up train schedules, found out how we could return the rental car without driving back to Catania) The room was very clean. It had a large bathroom, balcony overlooking the beach, comfortable bed and the air conditioning will freeze you out if you so desire. The hotel is 1K from the train station and car rental return. Shopping and beach is just outside the front of the hotel. Breakfast is served on a beautiful veranda overlooking the beach and the roof top deck is excellent for watching the sunset. We knew this would be special before we arrived - they sent a useful information pack as soon as we booked. We had the "junior suite" with 3 balconies, all with sea views of the big sandy beach. Excellent location, service and room. right on the water, amazing to open the blind in morning, right onto the sparkling mediterrean (there is a road in between, but you don't notice). Breakfast very good, service lovely. Very close to bus stop and good Restaurants, bars etc. Good roof terrace for sunbaking (even in winter) though they could do with some new deck chairs! Very welcoming staff, clean hotel with good service by the maids each morning to replace dirty towels. Our room was facing the sea - although it's always good to hear the sea, as the waves were very rough we had to close the window due to the noise at night! This hotel is located between the two main one way streets in town. It is extremely noisy with motorcycle, and auto traffic. There was no air conditioning, and the third floor was very hot. You couldn't open the windows because of the street noise. The building itself is quite dark inside. There are some beautiful antiques, and a deck on the roof with a spectacular view of the ocean. The rooms were stuffy, and we were there in October. I can't imagine what it would have been like in the summer. The staff was very friendly, but we actually cut our stay short by two days.

Good place to stay if you want to be in the middle of Giardini-Naxos!

Fantastic location being right next to the beach for Giardini and close to the bus to get up to Taormina - so you can get the best of both. Friendly and clean, a good value hotel to sample the delights of Sicily.

We had the most amazing stay, the hotel was far better than expected. A few highlights, the breakfast, the very friendly lady serving breakfast and the views from the breakfast room were brilliant. Our room was very comfortable and well kept. The reception staff were helpful and spoke good english. The only disappointing aspect was the noise from the cars if you didn't close your balcony doors at night. The Lavers

This was an outstanding choice for our stay in Giardini-Naxos, and would be excellent for Taormina as well. Our only regret is not having stayed longer!

This is probably the best 2 star hotel that I have ever stayed in. It is clean, spacious and has great views from their seaside rooms. It is a short walk to the center of town. The staff is attentive and goes out of their way to accomodate every need. I would highly recommend this hotel over a lot of the higher priced ones. A superb value
