Hotel La Riva - Giardini Naxos

La Riva is the first hotel that comes to mind when we mention Giardini Naxos, as it is the hotel we always stay in when we visit there. Find it very clean and welcoming, price is very good for it's position and the staff have always been very good. I always recommend it to anyone who is going to Giardini.

Is a nice place, in the central area of the beautiful city of Rome "antica". Just a few blocks to the Colloseum. I strongly recomend to visit Rome and use de facilities of La Riva Hotel.

Le camere sono accoglienti, pulite, eleganti e dispongono di tutti i comfort (le foto presenti nel sito non rendono giustizia). La struttura è accogliente e il personale molto gentile e disponibile. Ottima posizione. Nei dintorni dell'albergo ci sono tutti i servizi necessari. Difficoltà nel trovare parcheggio davanti all'albergo. Attenzione all'arrivo in ore serali in quanto l'albergo si trova nell'isola pedonale ed è raggiungibile solo a piedi se non si dispone del pass (che a richiesta viene fornito regolarmente dal personale) Colazione abbondante.

The La Riva was by far our favourite hotel during our trip to Sicily, great location, just across the beach, lots of restaurants nearby. We were impressed by the decor on each floor and the lobby/bar area: the paintings, statutes, antique furniture and tiled marble floors. It was obvious that the hotel put a lot of effort into the decor and cleanliness: we even took photos! Our double room (twin beds) was small but cute, has a balcony with a partial view of the ocean, and the bathroom was new and clean. The breakfast was excellent, the 4th floor dining room has a great view of the ocean, and the staff were very friendly. We drove to Mt. Etna (were able to get free parking reserved for hotel guests). Taormina was just a short bus ride away, we were glad we stayed in Giardini Naxos, especially at the La Riva which is so much cheaper and nearer to the beach. Only glitch was the loud noise from the machinery where they were constructing a pier out in the water. It may bother some people in the morning, but we were hardly in our room except to sleep at night when it was relatively quiet, we did not even hear the street noise from our room. We higly recommend the Hotel La Riva, would come back here again ourselves.

perfect location, beach across the road. Very close to the bus stop. Caters to quite a few tours from the Netherlands. Great breakfast and very friendly staff. Family run and old style furniture.

Wer es einmal gefunden hat, wird sehr freundlich bergrüßt und das Parkplatzproblem löst sich (trotz sizilianischer Enge) in Wohlgefallen auf. Das Hotel ist familär geführt, gemütlich mit Charme und sehr netten Restaurants in der unmittelbaren Umgebung, so das auch eine lange Nacht mit viel Wein und gutem Essen zum Urlaubsprogramm gehören wird. Für diejenigen, die NICHT 250 EUR+ in Taormina ausgeben wollen, um sich dort dann mit anderen auf der Isla Bella zu knubbeln, ist dieses Hotel eine klasse Ausgangsbasis, um die Gegend zu erkunden und sein Geld mehr als wert. Das Frühstück war überdurchschnittlich. Die Location (auf der Dachterasse mit Blick aufs Meer) ebenfalls. Alles in allem sehr empfehlenswert.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Hotel location very close to all areas. Rooms had great view of ocean from balcony, and were nicely decorated. Breakfast was outstanding with a great variety of foods. With street just below balcony, could be a little noise with traffic and people later at night. Excellent quality for the price.

Very difficult to take a shower, there was not space enough. Quite impossible to use the toilet, I had no place for my legs, and I’m only 1,80 m.!! Very noisy place! I do not like Giardini Naxos and the evironment.

Good correspodence between web pages and actual property. Nice rooms, friendly people, poor breakfast.

Very pleasant people, always helpful and friendly. It's a pity that the 4th floor dining room chair scraping is loud enough to wake the dead... But the town is very nice, with some excellent restaurants. We enjoyed our stay (apart from the early wake-up calls), and I'm quite happy to say I'd go back...to perhaps the 1st floor though.

I have travelled in numerous places in Italy, and have found that La Riva is a pleasant, comfortable hotel. The staff and the accommodations are above par. This is a hotel that is well worth it. We will definitely return to it when we return to Sicily.
