Hotel Torre Cambiaso - Prà, Genoa

A beutiful hotel in the middle of nature overlooking the sea and the Ligurian coast. The only not so good view is the port of Genova, but if you are looking for a bit of quietness I am sure you will love this building, its gardens, and the mausoleum at the far end of the property facing backwards to the mediteranean sea.

L'albergo e' situato in posto molto isolato, molto difficile da raggiungere, scarsamente indicato, e nonostante un navigatore satellitare di ultima generazione vi sono state molte difficoltà a trovarlo, per un soggiorno a genova è decisamente sconsigliato, non offre alcun aiuto per raggiungere il centro della città. Il personale scarsissimo, scarsamente professionale, mancanza assoluta di aiuto all'arrivo ed alla partenza. La richiesta di informazioni è stata quasi completamente inutile. La colazione scarsissima come scelta e qualità. Le stanze situate in una dependance anguste e malamente arredate anche se pretenziose per la presenza di mobili finto antichi, il letto cigolante ad ogni movimento. Nel bagno presente solamente sapone e bagno schiuma. Una spugna è rimasta abbandonata vicino alla porta di una delle stanze occupate per tutto il soggiorno. nel complesso albergo mediocre in tutto e da sconsigliare per chi debba andare a genova

Un peu cher pour une chambre de ce type, mais à Gêne, c'est plutôt difficile de trouver une belle chambre à un prix abordable. Pratique pour visiter la ville car à moins de 5 kms du centre et de l'aquarium.

Nel complesso ci siamo trovati bene, anche se la foto sul sito non corrispondeva alla camera doppia che ci hanno assegnato...e della bottiglia di vino..neanche l'ombra!!!ma la camera era lo stesso confortevole

Very special spot, unfortunately spoiled by the industrial sorrounding of the port, but we easily forget while inside a superb and unique mansion. It surely deserves a trip to be seen and lived.

We only stayed here 1 night on our way to another destination so take this review as such. We were put in a smoking room so it smelled a bit. Arrived around 10 at night when restaurant was closed so all we could get was cold cuts and dry bread sent to our room. The place has an old feeling to it being in a castle. We got a good rate so that was fine, but not sure I would ever stay here again.

Really enjoied, everytihng was excellent except to reach the hotel late evening. Unfortunately without any car caused by snow problems. I was on business and weather force me to leave my car far away. Of course it's not the hotel's fault. However it was very charming Torre Cambiaso during the snowfall. Multiple customers

What a Hotel! After going up a steep and very narrow lane, you arrive at the driveway up yto the Hotel. Very impressive! The Hotel was once a Castle. It was magnificent! The main building had a lovely restaurant and poolside area. Mind you, the pool was very small! It has a massive garden with a swan lake, a summer house (collanaded), swans and other birds as well as a small grotto. Our room was in the annexe across the courtyard. It was very olde worlde, with plenty of space and old antique furnitue, including the beds. Breakfast was the usual cold buffet but with a good choice. The ground overlooked the harbour in Genoa but the main view showed the port, with masses of containers. It is quite a bit out and anyone without their own transport may have found it dificult to get about. Only gripe was that on our first night their was a wedding reception. Not a problem but it seemed that all the Staff were catering for this and we had a bit of a wait to get bar service. Definitely reccomend as a base to explore!

The Hotel is a renovated castle on the top of a mountain. The road to get up there is steep and narrow and a little scary but the view was spectacular. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We felt very welcome there. We felt like royalty. The food at the restaurant was gourmet and delicious but a little pricey. I guess that is what you would expect in a gourmet restaurant. The room was cozy but the decor was beautiful and we had a great view. Overall we had a great time.

We went on our honeymoon in Genova, Prà, in hotel Torre Cambiaso. We had a wonderful time! Not to be found in the description of the hotel is that you have to to be a hiking-fan or a car-lover to reach the hotel or the city. It's a 20 minute walk from the main street that leeds to Genova, to the hotel and it's a steep slope. So be prepared to do some serious work-out! But otherwise no comments; we didn't mind the exercise.

We are french and we stayed one night at Hotel Torre Cambiaso. Our room was small particularly the bathroom. However, wine and water are offered in the room and it's very sympathic!

As you drive up from the coast road it appears to be a rather uninspiring location, near the port of Pra. However when you arrive you find your self in an oasis of tranquillity, above the port and with great sea views. Thw hotel itself was excellent for our purpose - a stopover on the way to Italy. The facilities and the service were very good.

I stayed just one night and there was a wedding under my room which was little noisy but the rest was very good.
