Hotel Iris - Genoa

It was generaly spot on, the manager was one of the niceset people, managed to help us, and sort few things out, with out making us worrie about it, generally a cosy hight standard hotel.

Quite a way out of Genoa, but right by a little beach. Bus and train connections are very close by and shouldn't be a problem. In our room we could hear quite clearly what our neighbours were up to. This might not be typical. Staff were very helpful.

Hotel is located "near" the Genova waterfront, but is not "on the water"; it is also quite a distance from the Airport and the Seaport. Hotel Lobby is extremely small (the smallest I have ever seen} and it makes very difficult for the staff to handle clients. The only elevator is also very small (it can only fit a maximum of 2 passengers and a couple of suitcases. ) The staff was very gracious and they try to make your stay comfortable within the restrictions described above. The quality of the breakfast (included in the cost of the room)was very good. Lunch and dinner were not offered.

We found the Iris very conveniently positioned for travels. The staff were very nice and helpful. We would say this was more of a business hotel, but as we were only staying 2 nights it was fine. We shared a quadruple room, so it was a bit crammed to stay longer. We would stay again if we were passing through.

Hotel Iris is a very good hotel (***) which offers great service. For example, we were brought to our rooms by the receptioniste and gave us a good explanation and description of the facilities of the room. The breakfast buffet was served very well with a smiling service and good quality products. Hotel Iris is a comfortable place to stay!
