The bathroom and the public room for breakfast are very small. All the other property characteristics are fine. The situation is nice for tourists.

It was easy to find the hotel but driving into the parking is a challenge. Don't try it with a Hummer! The lady at the reception was polite but didn't know which country we were from, she could not even read it from our passports. Hungary has been a member of EU for 7 years and is not far from Italy so it is not a special knowledge. The room was good but in spite of a true triple it was a double plus one guest bed. Wall were thin so we could hear noises from rooms next door. Water from shower came very slowly probably as much as the drain pipe could absorb. Parking was big enough but we had to pay EUR 15 for one day. The man at reception was a little bit rude with us at check-out. This was the only hotel that charged my credit card, others let me pay at arrivel or check-out by my EUR card. Breakfast is very expensive in the hotel but if you walk 100 meters to via Balbi you can find bars there where you can have breakfast for a normal price. Our experiences with this hotel are mixed. It is in a good position, city centre can be reached in a few minutes by foot but other considerations make not to recommend it.

Very well located, near the train station and easy access to mail attractions. Very, very small room and bathroom. The three bed room had a double bed and an extra bed located at the foot of the main bed with no space to move about. The shower door was broken.Very expensive for what it is. It is a "Confort" hotel that does not meet the standard.

I found the 10 euros extracharge for the breakfast very expensive, not declared before and overall too much expensive with respect to the quality of breakfast that was, it should be said very on the other side, very plenitful

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for seven nights in March 2011. Positive things are: Quiet location yet close to the centre. Good sized room. Clean (unless you look into the corners). Better breakfast than many other Italian hotels we have stayed at. Private car park (though very difficult to get in and out of with anything other than a small car). Comfortable bed. Not so good things: Poor quality room furnishing and fittings. Poor sound insulation between rooms. TV only had Italian programmes except one - which was German. Quality of TV reception poor. Bathroom very small. Only one uncomfortable chair provided in room.

The floor and carpet in the room were dirty beyond any acceptable level. Breakfast was not included in the price and a hefty Eur.10, well above its real worth. Wireless connection was not free either, a circumstance not mentioned in the hotel page. Alltogether, one cand find much better value (same price or less, but breakfast & WiFi included) in other hotels nearby; there are plenty within a 50m distance.

Hotel had WiFi (although one employee appeared not to understand WiFi). Bathroom was good standard, bedroom was reasonable size. Near the train station (Piazza Principe). There are not a lot of restaurants in this area. Near Palazzo Reale and other interesting sites including Acquario.

The price was reasonable. The bedroom was okay...small and clean ~ comfortable after a busy day. The bathroom was tiny with a very small shower. The location was suitable for my needs but you have to go downhill in an alley to get to the hotel. Not easy dragging suitcases. Be sure the taxi comes to the hotel door to pick you up. The hotel is in walking distance to the train station. Via Balfi has a few shops, some sell that delicious focaccia! The wonderful Acquarium is nearby.

Why we were not satisfied with this hotel: the parking place we ased to be booked for our arrival was not available, from our 1st floor room we could enjoy every moment of the nighlife of the street, the stewed fruit served for breakfast only looked to be fresh but actually it was expired... in general the price is too high respect to the service provided.

We had a disagreeable experience with the night-shift receptionist - very rude. We complained because the 3rd room in our "triple" room was very bad-quality, almost camping like. Beware of triple rooms in this hotel because they do not warn you that the 3rd room is only suitable for an infant! I believe this should be specified when booking a triple room.

Location is perfect for a fast visit to the town, but don't expect your room to be panoramic. Friendly staff as allways, but A/C was not working in my room :-( A nice hotel if you are just looking for a clean place to sleep.

Very closed to the railway station, to the port and to the acquarium. Just 5 minutes walking to get to the center of the town. Only a little parking. Little breakfast room: some time you must wait to sit down and the staff is not very friendly. Room clean but small with small bed. Some problem with the air conditioning.

The hotel was very close to the main railway station and there were good shops and restaurants nearby. My single room was very small and later when my family arrived and three of us shared another room that room was also very small, especially the bathroom. However, it was very clean, the staff was very helpful indeed and we enjoyed our stay. The breakfast provided was excellent in every respect. The hotel seems to cater more for business people for I didn't see any families or children there at all. I would certainly go back again if in Genoa, because the location especially was perfect.

Un bon hotel bien pratique pour visiter Genes. Personnel a l'accueil bien aimable.Calme . Le parking est un peu petit et vite plein. La difficulté est que la via Balbi est en sens unique et qu'il faut remonter les quais assez loin et tourner a gauche et a droite et ne pas louper le départ de la rue.La première fois c'est pas évident !!

Excellent location, very close to the railway station and to the historical center. The rooms are quiet except for the a/c which we eventually turned off for the night (but I'm sure many people would be able to sleep with it on).

Excellent location in the middle of the medieval old town. One minute walk to the Central station, 5 minutes to the Porto Antico, and 10 minutes to Via Garibaldi. The room was somewhat disappointning in size and there was no view at all, but you get what you pay for. Bathroom is ok. The breakfast includes croissants, salami, ham, brie cheese, yogurt, cakes and cookies, fruit juices and much more, and was above expectations. The coffee was superb. The staff was friendly and professional. The free parking was much appreciated, although do not expect a bigger car or SUV to enter the parking area since it is small and very crowded. There is a great restaurant called Il Lupo only five metres from the hotel, that we really can recommend. The roof terrace is great and gives a breathtaking view over the city.
