Hotel Della Posta Nuova - Genoa

Good position, near station and historical centre in a large and light street. it was my first time in Genoa

Clean, big, comfortable room and bathroom, breakfast very poor, staff speak just italian

Room clean and appeared to be newly renovated, however entrance area could do with refurbishment as it was very drab and gave a bad initial impression. Staff very scruffy although friendly and helpful with directions. Could create a much better first impression. Breakfast pretty hopeless.

Nice friendly staff. Lots of sweets on the breakfast buffé. Clean room and really close to the train station.

We had a double room in May '08 If you are planning to drive to the hotel using GPRS..dont! the street is one way and the satellite navigation will try and take you down the tram line, and as we soon discovered this is not a good move. location itself is central to the port and close to areas of interest

Siamo stati bene, ma avevamo la camera che si affacciava sulla strada e non abbiamo dormito per il traffico ed anche perché non volevamo dormire con l'aria condizionata tutta la notte che ci avrebbe apportato dolori fisici.

Die Posta Nuova ist ein nettes kleines Hotel, mit einem netten Personal. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber, doch ein wenig laut. Frühstück "italienisch einfach", aber alles frisch. Preis / Leistung stimmen.

The three of us stayed one night at the Della Posta Nuova hotel in a triple room in March 2008. The hotel has a pretty good location, it is located in just a few minutes walking distance from the main port and from the city center. Although the staff doesn't speak English they are very friendly and helpful. Poor continental breakfast was served but we didn't expect more for the offered rate. Our room was on the 4th floor, and was very clean and comfortable enough. I believe that this hotel is worth the rate of EUR 95/r/n.

The employee doesn't speek english so it's a bit difficult to be understood.

Freundliches Personal. Geräumige Zimmer. Sauber, nur das Duschgel und die Seifen waren ab dem zweiten Tag verschwunden. Sehr gute Lage.

By the price the hotel charge you, service is excellent. Hotel located in a quiet and in the down twon area near main-train-station and the harbour. The "how to reach by car"-info at the website confused me a little, because I looked for the signs "centro-stazione" which in fact does not exist exactly like this. Next time i will look for "statione principale" because the hotel is just arround the corner of this train-station. Typical italian breakfast is served.

Very close to the railway station and to the port. spacious and clean rooms. a very good stay. recommended.

Rooms are clean. We got a double room at the fifth florr with a small terrace. It was very quite despite the fact that we were on the main road going to the railway station. Very convenient location. Service basic but very cordial. Breakfast with no fresh cornetto but very good capuccino.

Sehr sauberes und freundliches hotel in genua. wir würden auf jeden fall wieder kommen.

Stayed only one night during buisness trip, but definitely worth the price. very close to the centre and to railway station, comfortable bedroom, we were lucky enough to have a view of the port. good hotel!

Seemed like there were three plugs in the room, but only one worked. The room was very smoky/dusty, especially when heater was turned on. Hot water was sporadic--either too much or none at all. Breakfast consisted of a couple of pastries and prepackaged sweets. Nothing healthy like bread or cheese. The double bed was just two twin beds pushed together, which would spread apart when someone would lie in the middle. Made it hard to sleep as a couple. The window shutter fell on us when we opened it--apparently it had come off its hinge. The web description says 24-hour front desk, but at the reception there was a sign that clearly said reception was open until 11pm. On the plus side, it has a very good location. But still, it's low quality even for a budget hotel.

L hotel è carino e confortevole. Situato in posizione centralissima si possono raggiungere tutti luoghi di interesse della città a piedi. il rapporto qualità prezzo è giusto. per chi va in macchina, nellle vicinaze c'èun garage, ma se vi fermate più giorni vi conviene cercare un parcheggio non a pagamento anche un pò fuori zona. marco e deia

Breakfast is basic.

Great night in Genua, it was the honeymoon with my wife, then 3 nights in Rapallo and 3 nights in Monterosso !!! Very good staying ! Kind regards, Marco.

All'arrivo molti elementi in disordine in bagno,che sono stati prontamente sistemati a richiesta. Buona la posizione rispetto al centro storico.Il riscaldamento è fornito da invertitore di calore, indaginoso e rumoroso.

A good budget hotel near to the centre of the old town

Allthough prices can be up at a boatshow week I was quite disappointed in the service which probably was due to the lack of English speaking staff. I have not often met an Italian who talks less than required but the staff here said basically nothing - not even bongiorno! The breakfast was another disappointment - i.e. nearly inexisting!
