Grand Hotel Savoia - Genoa

Many rooms has no view for sea. This hotel is not five star. It should be 4 star hotel.

It was a great Hotel! Lovely bed and sheets- great rooms especially the executive ones with a brilliant view. Loved the bar on the 7th floor overlooking the sea and the port and the hot tub and the breakfast was outstanding! Only stayed 1 night but would love to go back for more!

Hard to be closer to Genova Principle station. Very impressive hotel especially with the special rates.

Been to Italy many times and loved Genova - but the majority of reception staff and 'management' at the Grand Hotel Savoia are so arrogant and unhelpful! Unbelievable! Restaurant staff brilliant - couldn't help enough! Issues with room - lots of things not working, particularly the air con - so as the hotel was packed had to sleep with windows open - not good as continual noise from the train station across the road! Staff not prepared to fix! I am sure that you will find better value for money if you go to this wonderful city!

This is an excellent hotel, especially after the renovations. Probably the nicest room I've had in a hotel.

Recently refurbished, the Savoia is great hotel and excellent value for money. Excellently located as well, right in front of Principe railway station and on the edge of the old town. The refurbishment has restored its old school charm. This is not a hotel for those who like the Philippe Starck/Ian Schrager school of hotel design. Service was excellent: prompt room service, full (included) breakfast, pleasant and courteous front staff who spoke good English, free internet, huge bathroom, the list goes on. I would certainly stay here again.

It will be necessary to have light enough in the night tables to read in bed. The jacuzzi pools should be hot. There is no bar service at the beautiful terrace except if you order previously at the ground floor. The Internet rate is too high.

Great belle epoque hotel, recently refurbished. Excellent location to explore the city on feet. The room was very spacious & stylish and modern. Parking of the car in a nearby garage was handled competently by staff. The only downside - as often seen in Italy is the quality of the breakfast. Canned peaches etc. is a no go for an hotel this category. Staff was friendly throughout but sometimes a bit slow at breakfast. Overall a great stay - we'll surely come back!
