This hotel is not suitable for family people and no value for money you are paying. I got an offer from this hotel. when i got checkin they asked me book new room for my 4 year old baby, i didnot have any option so I booked another room for my small baby. so finally i paid double the rate. if any offer come from this hotel please donot accept. No air condition and too hot, more noise in the night time since hotel located near many pubs and public area. I agree breakfast was good and free! and rooms are clean.

Good room and hotel, particularly for the price in Geneva. Was noisy though - on a laneway which had a lot of trucks around dawn.

Very central, convenient for station. Our room was at the back and overlooked a car park - a little noisy but what do you expect in a city? We had to leave early for a train, before the normal start time for breakfast, but they rustled up a cup of coffee and some croissants. We would use them again - it was our first time.

This is merely a place to stay in Geneva. There's nothing special here except the helpful reception staff. No AC in summer heat (yes - it is starting to get pretty hot even in Geneva)... open windows lets in street noise. Nice rooms though.

Our worst hotel stay in Europe 2008. Because there is zero air ventilation in room you must keep window open day and night to breath. The street outside is noisy with outdoor restaurant patrons by day, and by night with prostitutes and night people who inhabite the closed restaurant tables and chairs from midnight until dawn, talking loudly, shouting, screaming. We got little sleep for the two nights we were there. The room was hot and stuffy, even with windows open.

The hotel is very convenient for the station,yet is surprisingly quiet.Our room was on the 5th floor.We would have preferred a room on a lower floor.

We stayed one night here. Nice hotel with good location. Close to the train station. We would stay here again! We came early on the day, but it was no problem to check in before the time that had been indicated.

As with all Venere booked accommodation we received an upgrade upon arrival. So the room was larger than expected. If we hadn't just arrived from Italy, and the experience of a range of small, 'quaint'(hmm) hotels with 'loads of personality', I probably would have been disappointed with the hoteli-ness of this establishment. As it was though, I relished the orderli-ness of it all. There were adequate supplies of shampoos, soaps and lotions (whereas in Italy it would not be unusual to find three bottles of breath-freshener but no soap). Everything in the room was clean and worked umm... like clockwork. The beds (yes, plural) were comfortable but extremely single. The location was good, with a view of the water jet from our window. And yet... many different shades of dreary. I completely understand why no-one feels the need to demand a larger bed

Indications on how to reach the Best Western - Strasbourg & Univers hotel
From the International Geneva Airport (Cointrin) : Take the train , which will bring you at the Geneva railway station or make use of bus n° 10.
From the Railway station (Gare Cornavin): Make use of the famous pedestrian Mont-Blanc street to exit the underground commercial area under the station. Once reaching the Mont-Blanc Street directly upon exiting the train station , take the first street on your left (Pradier Street) to find the hotel.
From the highway: Make use of the "Geneve Centre-ville" exit and follow the directions to the Gare Cornavin (Geneva railway station). Once on Lausanne street (Rue de Lausanne) make a left when you see the Centre Commercial des Cygnes and enter Rue de Monthoux. Then take the second street on your right (Rue de Neuchâtel). At the end of this street , turn right (Rue des Alpes). Then , stay on the left-hand side of Rue des Alpes to get to Rue Pradier , which is the last street on your left , before getting to the traffic lights.
To avoid parking problems , our guests are advised to make use of the underground park-house located underneath the Geneva railway station. Go directly to the second underground level , which is less expensive than level one (which is meant for short time parking only).
