Hotel Lido - Geneva

The staff were friendly: the wifi costs an extra 10CHF per day and when the final check is presented there is a space, which the receptionist highlights, soliciting a tip. This is the first experience of such a request in more than 40 years of travelling and I would not stay at the Lido again!

For the price in Geneva, I was very pleased--the desk staff were helpful, the room was quite large and quiet (I was on the back courtyard, away from the busy street however...)--and the location very close to Cornavin. The breakfast was adequate. Not much atmosphere or style.

This was agreat option for our family of four given that we had to take an early train from the main Geneva station early the next morning. The station is only 5 mins walk from the hotel.

The rooms at the front face the main street and are very noisy - with no air-conditioning, it was difficult to sleep with the window open; very accessible to train station

Hotel is nice and comfortable. But there was no air conditioning in the rooms which made it very hot but you couldn't open the window due to the street noise. But otherwise the hotel is fab, large spacious and good breakfast.

Staff very kind , but my room was very noisy because my window was on the main road .

The hotel is overall okay. The staff is really nice and helpful (well, they do their job with a smile) and the hotel is properly maintained. The room was somewhat small but it had everything that was needed. Breakfast was not sumptuous but had more than the basics. Would recommend this hotel for those that want an affordable place to stay in Geneva.

Location is very nice - close to the Gare Cornavin and the Pont Mont Blant. Staff at the reception did a great job for me to help me to leave for Lyon as there was strike in France and trains were mostly cancelled.

A rather sad establishment in a depressing part of the city (at night). The hotel is rather shabby although the bathroom and beds were very clean and comfortable. It was OK and reasonably priced for one night while we were in transit but I am glad I was not staying there for longer.

We were happy with the location and amenities here.Situated within walking distance from the Railway Station,using the map on the street outside to locate the address. The tariff included continental breakfast which was appreciated as we had no Swiss Francs on arrival.Staff gave us tourist tickets for free tram,bus,boat to cross the lake transport in the local area.Close to the Tourist Information Centre where a self guided tour of the old city (with walkmans)was available.Globalisation has resulted in there not being much local food in the cafes and restaurants which was disappointing.

This was our first stay in at Hotel Lido and we will not be going back. A family room was adequate but due to the temperature and lack of aircon we needed the windows open, not a good idea on the busiest traffic street in Geneva! Very little sleep was had by my family of 4 that night due to drag racing motorbikes and drunken street brawls outside our window. One to miss.

Accomodations are simple but the staff are really kind.

The location of the hotel is it's biggest draw - just a short walk from the train station and from the bridges to the shopping/dining areas and old town of Geneva. The staff are helpful, the price is very good and the breakfast (included) is baseic and typical, but quite adequate.

The hotel is quite centrally located, but noisy, since it is touching the main road. however,for the price it is quite good. the breakfast spread needs to be improved, it did not offer any egg dishes for breakfast.

Very, very convenient location. Rooms were clean and spacious enough. Our adult daughter was with us and the 3rd bed was around the corner of the room, which was nice and allowed a little privacy. Our only issue was that the 'shower' was actually a deep bathtub with a detachable spray arm. Staff was helpful, very competent, and friendly. Breakfast was adequate, not sumptuous like some we had, but fine. All in all, an excellent choice.

The hotel is very close to the central station and the notre-damme cathedral, so it is very convenient. As the price of hotels in Geneve itself is high, a little bit high price is acceptable.

Nice hotel in the city center of Geneve.

Hotel Lido is a really nice, clean and confortable hotel right in Geneve's center. Breakfast is not so varied but just good enough. If you have to get there by car don't pay attention to the signals of the hotel. It'll help you to lose yourself. Find first the train Station and hen the hotel. Be carefull with the name of the hotel street. In the same block there is a square and a small passage with the same name. The hotel is in the main street.
