Hotel Les Arcades - Geneva

My girlfriend and I went to Les Arcades for one night while we were waiting to go to the airport. We had a very pleasant stay and would highly recommend someone who is traveling for one or two night here, because given Geneva's prices its great value for money. To make it easy to read I've decided to list advantages and disadvantages of the hotel Advantages: -Location, you are directly across from the train station and in the heart of Geneva (in the sense its almost an airport hotel because it take less than 10 minutes to get to the airport form the hotel by train) -Service- usually i don't mention service as a advantage of disadvantage because people can be moody and their attitude can change from dat to day, however in this case every employee was very nice and their attitude was great - Style and cleanliness- you can see that the hotel used to be a office or something of that nature, but the really have tried to make the best of it Disadvantage - It's a bit tricky to realize how to get to the receptionist because it's on the 2nd floor of office buildings (in a way I kind of liked it though because you are in the heart of the city, but at the same time you feel secluded and there's less of a chance of walk-in guests because you can't really see inside the hotel from the street) All in all, If your looking for a hotel with value for money, you can't go wrong with Les Arcades

Very good Hotel and very kind people. Location across Gare Cornavin is perfect for all trips in and around Geneva. For the prices in Geneva, this is a value for money hotel.

Very nice hotel, close to the lake and rail station. The room was clean, with nice furniture, very good quality for the price.

One night stay ... arrived late off a flight. Hotel entrance next to H&M store - which wasn't clear in the info. Staff were excellent, as was breakfast. Small, clean and very good value considering it was Geneva. Would stay again.

A very central and clean hotel. Lazy and for the most uninspired staff. Poor breakfast...

Good little hotel, but the staff is very junior.

Great for a short stay, a little pricey for the amenities. Right across the street from the train station, by Bernini. Friendly staff were always available, room was sufficient (no A/C), quiet. Free transit card, map, and a lot of helpful information made for a great place to stay for one day (surprised at how expensive all hotels are in Geneva!).

The hotel was easy to find. We have noticed it as we exit the train station. The hotel is at the 2 floor. The had a twin room 4 two nights and when we arrived we there were 2 room available to choose. The lady in receprion was very kind and provided with all necessary information. We received a free ticket on public transport valid for all our stay in Geneve. The location of the hotel is good, jst 7 minutes walk to the lake. The overall stay was excellent and i would recommend this hotel for not long stay (2,3 nights).

Overall- good central location, clean hotel with a good breakfast. It was strange finding the hotel - it has a small sign and is located on the 2nd floor of an office building. The "hotel" has the feel of a dormatory - with rooms opening out to the "common room" where they serve breakfast and have the reception area. Don't be alarmed by that - otherwise, very good experience. The staff were friendly, interesting antique furniture all around and central location.

Very nice hotel, no pretence; convenient location (facing the Geneva train station) but not easy to find, as the hotel is located on the 2nd floor (if I remember correctly) and the entrance (in a standard appartment/office building) is not very well indicated.

Photo are totally fake. They are the photo of railway station instead of the hotel. The hotel has even no unloading area for me to drop my luggage. Free parking is a joke. I was told to park in the Genvena Railway Station's parking and I have to pay for it overnight. Surroundings are very noisy. And I was welcomed by two beggars asking for money when I arrived at the hotel's entrance. This hotel is absolutely not recommendable.

This was my first stay in Hotel Les Arcades. I stayed just one night but would certainly use it again if I were to visit Geneva. The staff were very helpful and the breakfast was good. I came out the wrong side of the Cornavin railway station (the MontBrillant side) arriving from the airport so it took some enquiries to find Place Cornavin. I would suggest that they change the directions on the their website to say that they are directly opposite the main entrance to the station. The only slightly negative comment was that on a wettish night I couldn't get the TV to work.

I enjoyed my stay here. It's a no frills, comfortable secure place, located opposite the main train station and local bus services which is busy but very convenient. Finding it takes some care as it does not have a street entrance, and you need to use an elevator/lift, to get to the lobby. A good hotel to use as a base to see Geneva.

The hotel room was clean and spacious and being located opposite the main station very convenient. If there is a drawback it is on the main thoughfare and is quite noisy when the windows are open, which could be a problem if you are trying to sleep when it's hot. They did provide a large fan though. Overall I'd recommend it to anyone.

The hotel is very nicely located close to the central station however please note that the sign for the hotel is tiny and since you have to enter a doorway and take the lift to the second floor and you do not see the reception from groundlevel you have to look careful for the entrence. It would be nice if the hotel could somehow make it clearer where the hotel is. Apart from that the staff was very helpful and friendly, the rooms very nice and clean so the Quality/Price was excellent. Even that it is close to the central station noise did was not a problem. Breakfast was also very good. If I go back to geneva privately i would stay here again.

Exceptionally convenient--across from the central RR station--and a five minute walk to the old town.

Good two stars hotel, much better than many 3 stars in the surroundings. My single room was really narrow, but elegantly furnished, with a comfortable bed and a large and new bathroom. The breakfast is not anything special

The hotel is located in the train-sation-quarter, so the surrounding is very busy and the quarter is not the best, but for our one night stay it was ok. The breakfast was included, although the venere hp said, that we would have to pay extra- so that was anice surprise! The roomprice is a little to high in my opinion, but I Think thats just Geneva! I would recommend the Hotel!
