Hotel Calvy - Geneva

Very poor level of service, if compared to the price of rooms it seems as they don't do much maintenance: the door of the elevator does not work properly and they do not seem to care. room was terribly hot

This hotel is situated 5mn away from the lake, at the stop of the tram which is very convenient if you don't want to use your car. Parking was no problem, they reserve a place for you in a private parking, behind the hotel. We are very pleased with the welcome of the staff. I would recommend this hotel to my best friend !! Our family was with us and the triple rooms are specially spacious. One restaurant in the hotel and any amount all around.

My stay at Calvy was really nice. I had booked a quadruple (4 bed room) for 1 night. Surprisingly this room had a Mircrowave oven and an extra wash basin outside the bathroom. The room was very spacious with a small dining table, a side table and 2 double beds properly arranged. The staff over there is less but very helpful and polite. Its approximately a 10 min Tram ride from the Geneva Rail Stn. The hotel is very near to 2 Tram stations, Terrassière and Villereuse. Lake Geneva and Jet d'Eau are at a walkable distance from the hotel. Also a few museums are very close to the hotel. Like most other hotels there, Calvy also provides you with a Bus and a Tram pass.

Extremely friendly and well run hotel. The food in the restaurant was good and reasonably priced by Geneva standards. We would definitely return there.

The hotel is nicely located. A stroll to the lake will lead you through the shopping area and takes some 15 minutes. Rooms are small and simple but adequate for the unspoiled traveller. My bathroom was tiny and the shower curtain (hate this) could do with an upgrade. The breakfast is dissapointing (although the baquette was fresh), but there are many nice places close by for a good sandwich and fresh coffee.

The room was extremely hot and although it was not their fault, they sould provide with light bed sheets, instead of heavy winter "duvet" with 36º! Breakfast was a bit poor. Lack of fresh fruits.

Wondering how this hotel could have 3 stars, perhaps due to different standards in switzerland.. would be a 2 stars in any EU country.. Breakfast is what you imagine at worst in 2stars Parisian hotels ( little choice, no fresh fruits etc ) . TV in the room with a 30 cm screen... but not working anyway..several antenna cables on the floor ,meaning the problem was known but not fixed !

The woman who manages the breakfast in the bar is a great profesional.Very kind and polite. The best of the hotel.

It was the first time in this hotel. Charming, nice french breakfast, nice service people, shopping surroundings not far, all together nice stay. Every time again.

Bit of a wierd location - make sure you check the route to get to the hotel before you arrive at the airport. rooms are quiet during the day, at night if your not tired, then you will not be abe to sleep because of the constant uhbbub from the restaurant below and the clinking of cutlery... Otherwise OK location, there are some supermarkets and general shopping areaa about 5 minutes from the hotel This hotel is very basic and does not compare with the 3* hotels in England, ie does not have a bath (shower instead) and does not have any kettle/ tea making facilities. On the plus side, it does have a mini fridge and a microwave if you need them

A nice place to stay in Geneva, with a good price/quality relationship.

The staff was great. I will definitely stay here again.

Rooms and public areas smell of cigarette smoke location good near fountain but too far too walk from station 15 euro taxi fair value for money no internet access

Buon rapporto qualità/prezzo. per soggiornare va benissimo, per colazione è meglio trovarsi un bar nei dintorni. zona tranquilla, camere ampie e full optional.
