Hotel Bristol - Geneva

I really enjoyed one night in the hotel. Staff was very pleasant and helpful; location of the hotel is very good and convenient.

Very close to train station and Lake Geneva. Very convenient location, walking distance to most of the attractions and bus station right in front of the hotel to the train station. Overall, I would recommend this hotel and have no hesitation to stay at the hotel again should I visit Geneva again.

Simply a perfect hotel with excellent location

A somewhat pricier hotel than others, but value was delivered for that. Central location and quiet was key for us and we got that with a triple room. Room was at back and overlooked a square - almost no traffic. Very quiet even with window open. Would have been different on front of hotel, as road was quite busy. About 5 minute walk from the flower clock and the start of the sights in the old town. Nice and very clean fitness centre, with free weights but only 3 machines - none a treadmill. So run outside - the weather is almost never bad!

IF YOU COME BY THE CAR IT'S VERY DIFFICULT TO PARK BECAUSE THE HOTEL HAS NOT A PARKING. IN GENEVE THE PARK IS VERY HARD!!! THE COCIERGE AND THE EMPLOYER ARE VERY KIND AND CULTURED. THE RATE IS VERY GOOD

Hotel when called directly said they had no rooms available. Then I was able to get a room on line thru VMichelin. Very good hotel, upgrade offered. Will certainly use VM again.

We stayed 3 nights at the hotel. place of the hotel was very central, room (junior suite) was clean and spacious. hotel personnel was helpful. i recommend this hotel. thanks

Hotel is in a great position being only a short walk from Cornavin Station and very close to the lake. Staff were very welcoming and efficient. We were upgraded from a standard double to a superior room which was a bonus. The room was on the 6th floor and overlooked a garden/small square at the rear of the property and was extremely quiet. If given a choice, would recommend this aspect as can imagine the rooms at the front being much more noisy. No complaints at all about the hotel - it was one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. However, a word of warning regarding one particular restaurant close by: on our first evening we chose Restaurant Casanova as it was literally a couple of minutes walk away at the end of Mont Blanc avenue with a good position overlooking the lake and it seemed reasonable value for money. Unfortunately, the food was very disappointing and the wine vastly overpriced compared to other, more expensive establishments. To be avoided at all costs!!

A lovely 5 star hotel with lovely staff. Three of us shared a room and we had lots of space, they even helped us move to a larger room when we asked them, so polite and helpful, I would go back and stay in his hotel again. My first stay in Geneva and the accomodation was first class.

I love geneva and switzerland

I had a very nice romm in last floor w/small balcony but at 295SF+Bfest too pricey for me. Bernina at railway station was at half price good enough.

Excellent hotel, we had a deluxe room on the 6th floor with a lake view and a narrow balcony. The room was very large and had a huge bed. The gym/jacuzzi was very good but not staffed when we went at 8.30am. The hotel has a very good central location for sightseeing etc. Public areas were smaller than I expected, but this did not detract from our stay. We would definitely stay there again. The Venere rate was practically half the published rack rate, very good value.

Good location 10 minutes walk from the central train station. The room was comfortable and well appointed. We bought a Swiss Travel card which covered our 4 day stay in Geneva (upgraded to 1st class for free!). This allowed us to use Geneva as a base while we explored Switzerland - a great way to get about on trains, boats, trams, cable cars, etc and get the most out of your visit. Travel was so easy and I would have no hesitation in returning to Geneva and the Bristol hotel, should the opportunity arise.

Received upgraded room on check-in. Beautiful, spacious room with luxurious queen bed. Amazing amenities. Bath and shower both included in large bathroom. Great location 7 minutes form Gare Cornavin.

The hotel is over-priced, fare did not include breakfast and the breakfast buffet was considerabely expensive. Hotel employees were hardly smiling. The location of the hotel is very good.

Great hotel in an excellent location. The space provided for the bathrooms is outstanding. I recommend it for sure!!!!

THE HOTEL WAS IDEALLY SITUATED. A FIVE MINUTE STROLL DOWN HILL FROM THE TRAIN STATION. CLOSE TO THE OLD TOWN. RIGHT ON THE LAKE. BUT WHAT MADE THE STAY MOST ENJOYABLE WAS THE BRILLIANT FRIENDLY STAFF AND BEAUTIFUL SURROUNDINGS. I WOULD RECOMMEND THE HOTEL TO ANYONE. AND WILL DO.

The staff were most unfriendly, particularly the male receptionists and the incredibly haughty (why??) head waiter at breakfast who was curt almost to the point of rudeness to us and also to other guests around us. The room we were given had a leaking radiator with subsequent wet carpet - we reported this but instead of being moved to another room, the leaking was ignored and a very old electric fire was brought to us. Not the service we expect from a four star hotel.

Excellent hotel. Very inviting, and just a lovely facility. We would most certainly stay there again.
