Admiral Hotel - Geneva

We were given a double room that was for a sigle person. One side of the bed was close to the wall so I was obliged to jump over my wife to go to the bed

Nice stay at Admiral for 2 days. Exciting neighborhood, but it didn't cause any trouble at all - not even on late night arrivals. There were quiet from the outside, but a little noise from the surrounding rooms. Tiny, but nice room with everything you need for "a place to sleep". Breakfast was really good. We'll be back :-)

The staff were very accommodating to my requests for assistance with the in-room safe. As well, for some reason the phone failed to work on my second day, but the staff allowed me to receive pre-arranged calls in the lobby and my wake call was a personal visit from the person at the front desk, since the phone did not work. The complimentary breakfast selection was excellent and well serviced by the staff. The distance from the train station and other areas of interest of Geneva was great, however, the location of the hotel was in a red light area.

We had a lovely clean and smart room. The breakfast is fantastic, one of the best I've had in a European hotel. It was a bit noisy at night - we were at the front of the hotel - but it didn't really spoil things. The location is excellent ie close to the rail and bus station and easy walking to all the sites. It is in the red light district but we found this interesting rather than threatening.

Well worth the price, except for the poor WiFi connection in-room. Lobby WiFi is great. Staff very helpful, friendly. Top marks to them. Some might quibble about the adjoining sex shop, sex workers or even the gay bar across the street. To them, I say: Grow up and get a life.

Close to RR station, with restaurants around (also a sex shop next door and a "working girl" on the street). Clean, comfortable, quiet. Staff recommended a restaurant across the street which was good but pricey. Enjoyed our stay and would return.

Central part of City, but no veiw arround
