Hotel Reviews Bavaria

I got a single room, therefore teeny tiny (8 feet wide at best including the bed), but that was just fine for me. Creek out back so you can hear the sounds of water at night if you like. Interior of hotel was gorgeous, very homey and rustic. Employees/owners were very very nice and spoke really good English. Breakfast was included and amazing. You can even get eggs cooked how you like, wonderful little pot of coffee at the table. Only one night, but I would stay again.

Good location for both center of Garmish and center of Partenkirken.

We were very, very happy with our stay at Hotel Bavaria. Our room was very comfortable, the braakfast and evening meals were excellent, served in the very comfortable dining room which has access to the garden. The hotel is well located close to the railway station and buses, town centre and, important for us, close to walking trails. Our only criticism would be that the information on walking trails was only in German.

Quiet hotel yet only few minutes from town centre. Excellent food, especially breakfast menu. Very good value evening meal set menu. Staff very friendly and helpful. Great views of mountains from balcony. Good parking. Decor in rooms a bit old fashioned. A mix of clientele - majority retired, some families with young children, couples and groups. Really enjoyed staying here and would return without hesitation.

Very inviting and helpful staff. Dining room was outstanding. Wireless access for laptop was VERY helpful and worth the cost. Rooms ultra clean and bathroom huge. Stayed only one night, but would have liked to stay longer.

I was my first stay in this hotel and will come again. It is a very clean and friendly place. I believe it is great for smaller families or groups.

A bit difficult to find, even with a map. The hotel was nice, the staff nice, easy location to walk everywhere. I would stay again, although have explored other places since then. Not super centrally located, but its all a small town, so still easy to get around.

Breakfast was good. Area activities suggested by the young lady that checked us in were fun. Room was a bit warm and no fan available. It was a bit expensive because we had to get two rooms.

The rooms were clean but small. The beds were very comfortable and the hotel is located in a great part of town. The breakfast was the best we had in all of Europe. We would certainly stay there again.

Hotel Bavaria - as a matter of fact, it's more a pension than a hotel - is very conveniently located in close vicinity of Garmisch-Partenkirchen's shopping area and central railway station (and Zugspitzebahn), in a quiet by-road, a mere 5 minutes walk from the above mentioned areas. I stayed in a single room, which was rather small, although well appointed: a small WC, a TV set, a table and a chair, plus a good wardrobe, a bunklike bed and that was all: satisfactory but not excepcional. I got a glimpse of the double rooms and they looked to me to be rather spacious and confortable. As for the common areas, the dinning room was roomy and very gemütlich (cosy). Breakfast was a plus, with eveything you can think of, in plentiful proportions. Dinner was OK, although not exceptional, but for a very reasonable price. Tidiness is, of course, the name of the game (we're in Germany, by God...) and the staff is friendly. All in all, I do recommend Hotel Bavaria for a pleasant skiing vacation, but I'd rather get the double rooms. APCS

Hotel Bavaria was hard to find due to the name of the street it is on (there is another street with a similar name). Parking spots were limited although the place seemed to have plenty of units. The first room we wound up with had something weird in the bathtub but they moved us immediately on to another room but we had to climb up three floors. The room was a nice size and the bed a little bigger than a queen (my hubby, 4 year old, and I slept comfortably). The bathroom was a nice size and clean but since we were on the top floor, the ceiling over the tub was angled so my 6'4" tall hubby took a bath that night. Breakfast was decent European continental (meats, cheeses, fresh squeezed juices, cereals, and fruits). They actually accommodated our schedule and gave us breakfast an hour before normally scheduled as we had to leave and we appreciated that. They had free wifi internet access and that was helpful. The folks working the front desk spoke very little English but somewhow we managed to understand each other. They recommended a reasonable, family friendly, restaurant within walking distance named "Restaurant Alpenhof". The food was delicious. Overall, what we got for the decent price we paid was very appropriate and adequate. Garmisch-Partinkirshen is a cool little town and we hope to return someday during skiing season.

We were warmly welcomed by the daughter of the owner, and given very useful tour information of the area. The hotel is full of art pieces and hand-made crafts - very homey and a lovely area. The location was convenient to the train station and was convenient for walking around the town. We would definitely go back to this hotel.

My husband and I stayed at the Hotel Bavaria for 4 nights and were quite satisfied. There was ample parking for our car. We could walk into town easily. Breakfasts were the usual with eggs upon request, and done beautifully. If I were to go back to Garmisch I would stay there again.

This was an outstanding facility with an accomodating staff. It was one of our most enjoyable stops with knowledgeable and friendly staff. The rooms were spacious, clean and we appreciated its quiet location and nice balcony or patios off of our rooms.
