Hotel Villa Sofia - Gardone Riviera

We enjoyed our short time in the hotel villa sofia. Superb breakfast, free parking for you car. The room was nice the staff polite and skilled. 5 min. to go to Teatro del Vittoriale and 10 min. to the lake, 2 min. to the Giardino Bottanico "Andre Heller" - perfect.

Great hotel, location not great but only 5 mins walk from the lake side shops, bars and restaurants. We took advice from another review before booking and requested a room on the swimming pool side - we weren't disappointed! Our room was lovely overlooking the pool and we could also see the Lake. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

Abolut perfect also for singles, but a very nice place for all lovers, who like to spend time in a discret way ... and so on!

A very attractive looking hotel, in a location slightly off the beaten track, which is ok as long as you don't mind climbing back up a hill after dinner! Not having a restaurant service in the evening was a bit of shame, especially after a day out and about on the lake. Sometimes all you want to do is kick back and relax in the hotel. All of that said, I would strongly recommend the hotel on the basis of quality of furnishings, cleanliness of rooms and service.

Very good location and easy walk to every where, walking distance to the Botanical park and other beautiful places.

Villa Sofia is ideally situated in a large garden a little bit up the hill from the centre of Gardone - only a 5-10 minutes walk away. Lovely garden and absolutely no traffic noise. Plenty for parking space for the guests' cars (which is not always the case at Italian hotels!). Very competent and friendly staff! There is no dinner restaurant at the hotel, so one has to walk down to the centre of Gardone. Although Gardone is quite a small (but very pleasant) place, there are some really nice restaurants and cafes there. If one is looking for a high quality hotel in peaceful surroundings, Villa Sofia is definitely the perfect choice. Good value for money, indeed!

Clean, comfortable hotel. Fabulous views, pool, garden and parking. Close to old town restaurants and theatre. Service somewhat cool and unfriendly.

A very nice hotel in a beautiful location. One slight issue, the Venere confirmation indicated free internet service. The hotel would initially not honour this. However after some discussion and phone calls, the hotel in fact prvided free service.

Hotel in pleasant surroundings with nice pool, less than ten minutes' walk from lake with good parking facilities.

Very nice hotel in a wonderfull area a real good value for price

A beautiful hotel; very nice facilities. It is located about a 15 min walk uphill from the waterfront. The view of the lake is only for the few rooms on one side, but if being on the waterfront is not important, this is a very nice hotel.

We stayed for four days and would like to have stayed more.Recommend walking up the hill to the beautiful village centre as well as down to the lake.

La qualità dell‘ albergo e dei suoi servizi ha di parecchio superato le nostre aspettative. E soprattutto un grande brindisi al personale, ci siamo sentiti subito a casa. Grazie infinite!

Swimming pool very nice and garden very pleasant. BUT breakfast very poor. Bath-tube really too small

A beautiful house and splendid park. Very helpful staff. Breakfast OK. Air condition much appreciated, but sometimes it got a bit too cold. Individual control of the AC was not possible.

This small hotel is a true gem. We had a wonderful stay and plan to return. Gardone Riviera is a lovely small town. We were there early in the season and there were no crowds - just a lovely experience.

A comfortable hotel with pleasant staff. Could have been improved if meals were available during evenings on the terrace. Location futher from lakeside than expected, and suited more for the physically able person.

We finished our ten day holiday at Lake Garda at the Villa Sofia for 2 nights. My wife and I had our 1 year old daughter Laura with us . The welcome we got there was fantastic . The hotel is set in beautiful grounds , and from our balcony we could look out over the lake . The rooms are very well decorated and clean . All in all it was a very relaxing stay , and we felt very at home , thanks in particular to Alex and Ciara at the front desk for being so helpful and friendly . Probabaly the best experience we have ever had in a hotel , and will be back there again no hesitation .

La Villa Sofia est un petit hotel de charme tout neuf avec de belles chambres et un service irréprochable. Merci à Alex qui est une perle et qui nous a permis de passer une excellente semaine au bord du lac de garde. Ciao!!!

We had a really nice and relaxing holiday there. The surrounding of the hotel is just beautiful and you can find there the best restaurants in the area - check at www.viamichelin.com - The only not so positive fact was that we could here our neighbour...but this could be room specific.

A lovely peaceful location. our room did not overlook the pool and instead was a room facing a closeby road. i feel it is important that you know whether you are having a pool or road facing room prior to booking. would want to stay again - in a pool facing room.

We had a very pleasant stay. The staff were extrememly friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable with very good air conditioning. The pool was a great bonus.
