The owner of the hotel Massimo makes every effort to make you feel welcome and is ready to offer useful advice any time. It wasn't emphasized in the description that you need to be an skillful driver in order to reach the hotel safely but the trip is worth every inch of it.San Michelle is a beautiful village. there is a nearby very friendly cafe(cafe Cuba) and we enjoyed very much the Museum of Armors in Brescia.

We stayed with at The Colomber Hotel for 2 weeks in September 2009,we had glorious weather and the lake was stunning; what really made our holiday was staying with the Bertella family, they made us feel very comfortable the food was wonderful and they welcomed us into their family. The hotel is situated in an idyllic spot, with walking, cycling and paragliding on the doorstep. The hotel scored 10/10 apart from occasional noise which was of no fault of the hotel but 2 dogs at a house in the village.

The hotel is far from the main road and one has to drive a "long winding road" to reach the property. However, the surrounding area is beautiful and calm.

Good hotel in a lovely location surrounded by mountains and countryside. Thoughtful and efficient hospitality, although only one person spoke English. Breakfast a little limited and the same every morning. Good value evening meal and was generally very tasty. Some noise from adjacent rooms did not always ensure unbroken sleep, having said that our stay was much enjoyed by us all.

Good value for the money. The place is a little old-fashioned and slightly remote (10 minutes drive) from the lake but very quiet, with a beautiful mountain landscape. Welcome and dedication of the staff is appreciated. The swimming pool is definitely a plus.

stayed there for two days in early may which is quite off-season. visited a trade-fair in Milano. the hotel-manager is really friendly and tried to help us in every way. the hotel is located in a quiet valley on the hills above lago di garda so if you want to avoid a noisy surounding this could be your choice.

It is absolutely worth it driving up the winding street to San Michele to stay in this wonderful location, we also recommend the hotel's restaurant that offers local dishes. The owners are really pleasant and helpful.
