Hotel Benaco - Garda

Lovely hotel, charming staff, great location, nice breakfast. Pleasant room with lake view and balcony, an extremely enjoyable stay.

Friendly, welcoming staff.Just two or three minutes walk from the lake. Breakfast (in with our price) was excellent. Room and bathroom beautifully clean. We were very impressed with The Benaco and would recommend it unreservedly.Everything you need - bars, restuarants, shops just a stroll away. Try it, we say, you'll not be disappointed!

Excellent small hotel. Excellent staff. Excellent breakfast. We were not looking for a hotel with swimming pool or gymnasium or internet access.

We stayed for nine nights, in a hotel with good breakfast, nice rooms, perfect located and most important; the most friendly and helpful staff. Our next stay in Garda will be in the Hotel Benaco too.

Visited for a week with friends. My wife and I can be pretty picky when it comes to hotels, meals etc, and have stayed in much more expensive hotels than the Benaco. I have to say that pretty well everything about the Benaco was great - the staff, the breakfast, the rooms, proximity to the old town, etc, etc. The only very small negative was light traffic noise after about 06.00, but compared to hotels in London, Rome, Florence, it was pretty quiet and certainly didn't spoil the stay. Though Limone and Salo were nice, Garda was our favourite place, and eating out around the lake the food was of a very good standard - better and more consistent than we've experienced elsewhere in Italy. I'd definitely go back, no hesitation.

My wife and I stayed at the Benaco for 3 nights in August 2009. The welcoming was very warm and whilst there was no lift, our bags were carried up the stairs. The room was great. The breakfast was excellent with lots of fresh fruit and a hot choice also! We even received a bottle of bubbly when we were checking out! We would definitely stay here again!

The hotel is very nice, but the parking area is not the best but with a videocamera and the price is 10 € per day. The hotel has no lift. That was a problem for us. But the location is very good in Garda.

Just a wonderful hotel stay. Excellent location to Lake promenade. Manager-owner very pleasant and accomodating. Highly recommend and will return for alonger stay.

This must be the best hotel in Venice for value for money. I had a single for 50 euro's per night. I was a bit nervous before I checked in but it was great. Clean room - it was small and a bit noisy but overall 9/10 - I would definitley recommend it.

The room was clean and the quality of fittings good. Clean fluffy towels, and shampoo etc provided in the bathroom. The breakfast was excellent! Easily accessible by bus (about 600m from the bus stop). The only slightly negative comment I have is that the room was a little on the small side, but it is sufficient. Overall I would highly recommend this hotel.

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Benaco. The small staff was extremely friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to make sure we had a great time while we were there.

Clean,modern,friendly,efficient. Very good value.First class breakfast. Can not speak too highly about this small privately owned hotel.The charming owner and staff could not do enough to make our stay very enjoyable.In 40 yrs of travelling world wide this is the best small hotel my wife and i have visited.

Great location in the centre of Garda..just across the main/busy road in front of the hotel. Rooms are clean and airy (thanks to big windows and a balcony. Secure parking was free (rare in Italy) but was 10mins walk from the hotel - you could pay for valet service.

We spent there one night in our way to Tuscany and it was a perfect place. We focused on max sightseeing in a short time (very good location) and comfort (good service, great breakfast, well equipped). It was a plus that the equipment was not worn out / old but all fresh and clean.

Great little hotel - quality of finish in terms of decoration and service seemed higher than a 3* really so good value for money we thought. Room was lovely - clean and spacious with a nice new bathroom - and very friendly, English speaking staff welcomed us (and gave us a bottle of home made Prosecco to take home too!!). There was a nice variety of good food for breakfast too (though their coffee sucks!). And although they say you have to pay 10 Euros for parking, they actually provide free parking in a locked underground car park if you are willing to drive around the corner, which was great. Only downside was that our bath leaked and flooded the bathroom and not much was actually done to sort that out for us, but we were only there one night so thankfully didn't really spoil our stay.

Un hotel molto ben tenuto, con mobilio e attrezzature in perfetto ordine. Personale discreto ed efficiente. Se fosse sul lungolago sarebbe l'hotel perfetto per il garda!

Vraiment enorme cet hotel... Un trois etoiles à 70 euros la nuit pour deux, c'est pas commun dans la région... Petit dej' copieux, chambre super classe, et cadre ideal. Il y a une ballade d'environ deux heures qui part vers le nord, le long du lac, depuis l'hotel. ça vaut le detour!

Our stay at Hotel Benaco was unforgetable. All aspects of the stay in Garda and Hotel Benaco weree fantastic. Highly recommend it.

Excellent hotel. Modern decor. Rooms and bathrooms very well appoined and spotless. Staff welcoming and very professional. Breakfast excellent quality. Rooms overlook the main road but double glazing and air conditioning meant no noise from the road at all. It's not a resort hotel but a very comfortable base. Location excellent: 2 minutes walk (literally) to the lakefront bars and restaurants; two minutes walk (literally) to the ferry. The hotel has 3* facilities and 4* or higher standards. (I travel a lot and stay in many hotels.) There is no lift/elevator -- easy walk up to the second floor rooms but would be a problem for a visitor with disabilities

Benaco Hotel is for families and also young couple the position is ideal since it is very close to the center and lake cost. Quality is high even if the price is little bit high (but I was there in high season). There is no parking close to the hotel but you can have a free park in the pubblic parking (covered)

From the first moment I set foot in Hotel Benaco, it was a pleasant surprise: the lobby was very trendy (a relief after all the hotels with their '60ies interiors!), the personal very friendly. Furthermore my room was comfortable and spacious enough (especially for the price!) and the next morning there was a very elaborate breakfast. This is definitely my favorite hotel this side of Lake Garda!
