The hotel was nice and friendly and the room was very spacious although the wallpaper was peeling off in places. It was clean and tidy though. The hotel staff were very helpful. Breakfast was quite good with a lot of choice. Fabulous speciality breads but the preserves were awful, really tasteless jam and marmalade which let down the rest of the standard of food. The live music in the bar was pretty awful at times! Overall though we enjoyed our stay and would most likely return again.

Nice hotel just off Eyre Square (but far enough to be away from the pub crowds). Free WLAN in the bar and lobby on ground floor. Good spacious room, there was some disco music at nights but not loud enough to be annoying.

How to reach The Western Hotel
By car
From Dublin, Cork, Limerick and Shannon follow the road signs for Galway. As you approach Galway follow the City Centre signs and continue towards Eyre Square. The hotel is located 100 yards (90 metres) before you reach Eyre Square on your right-hand side. To enter the hotel's car park take a right-hand turn and then two sharp left turns.
By train
On exiting the station, walk towards the top of Eyre Square, passing O’Connells bar and NTL offices on the right. At corner of Richardsons pub, take a right turn onto Prospect Hill. Continue along Prospect Hill and the property is ahead on the left-hand side.

Venere.com does not debit your credit card for your reservations. You will be asked to insert your credit card details which will be sent to the property only as a guarantee of the reservation.
