This is a lovely, modern hotel with friendly staff. But the room was not spotless - heavy stains on the carpet - ugh!

We were two friends on a road trip in Ireland and found this hotel on a web search page. We got a very good deal and felt that we got very good value for our money. The hotel is located a 5-10 min drive from the city center and was easy to find. It had free parking with a lot of parking spaces. For us parking was important. Parts of the surrounding area seemed "new and recently established". There was a shopping mall and KFC nearby - across the street. Very convenient. The hotel is very modern and gave a very good impression. The rooms were spacious, nicely decorated and good with modern interior. The beds were comfortable and gave us a good night's rest. The bathroom was also modern with a nice shower and all amenities we needed. There was also an in room safe. The rooms had free internet via internet cable, but no wifi. There was free wifi in public areas. The speed of the wifi was good. The staff were very friendly and service minded. A local bus has it's stop very close to the hotel and with frequently departures downtown. We recommend this hotel.

This very much a hotel for those on business. It is on the outskirts of Galway and sits on a major junction, with dual carriageways running either way. As the day progresses, the noise varies, easing slightly in the evenings. The hotel sits in the midst of a retail park area, so life tends to die off after 6pm. The rooms are well heated, but this leads to a need to open the window, or to use air-con. Opening the window is not an option due to the proximity of the road and the air-con sounded as though something was stuck in it. Breakfast was a bit disappointing. While they did have the usual fruit & cereals, there was a bit of a meat 'fest' going on. Bacon, sausages, black & white pudding were fine, but for veggies, it was a case of baked beans and hash browns. The plates were cold, meaning your hot food was luke-warm when you got to the table and cold by the time you got half way through. Evening meals were decent enough. Both bar food and Tribes restaurant served decent fare, in decent portion sizes and at reasonable prices. The hotel is a good 10-15 min drive out of the city, so it limits your evening choices for entertainment. Overall, the hotel was okay, the rooms were decent, beds were comfy and the staff were super. Next time, I'd choose somewhere closer to the centre to get easy access to the nightlife.

Great stay! Staff very helpful. The room was huge with wide windows and a king size bed which was very very comfortable!!! Nice swimming pool and restaurant. The only problem was the distance from the city centre, but there are two bus stops (3 and 9) just opposite the hotel. It takes only 15 minutes to reach Eyre Square.

The noise from the highway is way to high and closing the window was a problem due to heat. The Toilets seem to be built too high. Location (off center) is great. We would return if given a room not facing the highway.
