Hotel Gajeta - Gaeta

My biggest disappointment was that the hotel advertised wifi internet access when in fact it did not work (on either my computer, or my girlfriend's). Ready access to my business and personal email was important to me, and the hotel failed to deliver. It is true that the hotel made a desktop available, but it was inconvenient in that I had to have the receptionist log me on.

Nice hotel.the breakfast was excellent. they even provided americano coffee. I had lost something while traveling and one employee went to alot of trouble calling around for me. Gaeta was the highlight of my holiday. A beautiful city. old and new areas. very friendly people. I will go back again. I think I would like to stay at a smaller b-b in the old part of town. at the hotel free washing machine and dryer was provided on the rooftop where there were 2 chairs. Two times we did laundry brought food and wine up had dinner while looking over the beautiful harbour at nite,with all the lights.I will go back next year.

A restaurant is needed and the breakfast should offer other alternatives apart from 'Italian' breakfasts.

Lovely spacious room with a great view. It was very quiet, but we were there off-season, so that's to be expected. The receptionist with whom we checked in gave us great advice for both dining and sites. The in-hotel breakfast was average. All things considered, a very good value and a nice place to stay!

I really enjoyed the individual attention provided by the hotel staff. Thanks for making my business trip to Gaeta that much more wonderful!

For such a nice hotel, the breakfast was very meager. Otherwise, an excellent experience.

Very nice hotel, well situated in town with great views. There is a non-passenger elevator for sending up luggage to the second floor reception area that we could not get to work, thus had to lug our bags up an exterior flight of stairs. The receptionist was not very welcoming or helpful. My key card had to be rekeyed several times before it worked, necessitating 3 trips down 3 flights because the interior elevator did not seem to recognize the third floor and would not stop or start from there! The hotel was totally booked, so I could not change rooms. My single was very small, but overall, ended up being quite pleasant with a great view of the bay, the mountains and the citta vecchia. The breakfast was okay but not quite as good as many other hotels in Italy.

Hotel,room,breakfast all exellent.......receptionist let it down,felt like we were "bothering her "when we asked for any information. was not very friendly and welcoming as receptionist should be......pity.

Hotel Gajeta was one of our favorite places we stayed. We felt like we were in Italy. The customer service was over and beyond our expectations. They recommended a place by Venice and called for us to find out if there was availability. Plus one of us caught a cold (on a Sunday) and they called around to find a farmacia open and told them we were coming and what was wrong (since we spoke little Italian). The view of the bay was awesome. They even have big huge doors in each room with a little standing balcony. It was a great experience. I recommend staying here especially because Gaeta is not real touristy and there is a beach near by.

The owner was great to deal with. She explained everything to us and made numerous suggestions for our stay in Gaeta. The girl who worked the front desk wasn't as accomodating. She seemed very uninspired to help although she did fulfill our request once we asked.

A bit of a problem finding the hotel, the directions and the streetname were unclear. Afterwards it was more than easy: Vis a vis the navelbase! The service at the hotel was fantastic. The town of Gaeta, the promenade at the waterfront, the protected nature behind and above Gaeta are all more than special and fantastic. Even in February the beach was very clean and nice. Not our last visit.

Arriving late in the evening, leaving direct after breakfast has detremental effect on usefulness of my rating. Hotel seems to be mainly in use by US Navy personnell, in early days of January 2007.

Hotel was lovely, location great, staff welcoming and very helpful with recommendations and reservations for dinner. Air conditioning was not good (and the weather very hot), but otherwise, we coould not have asked for more. We will be back!

Great location, great value!

Airy, spacious clean hotel. It is situated opposite the port/naval base rather than a beach, but the view is still spectacular. Friendly & competent staff, and beautiful room. Restaurant specialises in Tex/Mex food, which is not what we would seek when in Italy, but there is a good choice of other local restaurants. Better than average breakfast.

Hotel Gajeta is my favorite hotel in Europe. It is quaint, clean, and comfortable; and the staff is friendly and competent. All of my stays have been a pleasure.

Will go back to this superb hotel. Restaurane also very good.
