Nice, friendly people; they need to attend to upkeep matters such as cobwebs, plumbing, dusting and new bed linen. Also, breakfast could be improved, though the capacino was excellent. A nice, quiet, rural location if you are ok with being relatively far from Rome at night, and you plan well. From one of the upper floors the hotel offers a lovely view overlooking Rome and its surroundings. A potential problem is that the hotel is not so convenient to reach without an auto if you miss the hotel shuttle or the bus. Our taxi cost my family of 5 about 30 EUR. All in all I was a little disappointed, but it was mostly my fault because my expectations were the main problem. I should have paid more attention to other reviews. Frascati, the town nearest the hotel, is nice and a good place to unwind at the end of a day in Rome. It has a supermarket where you can buy necessities at a reasonable price, and bars/restaurants/ice cream shops.

We had a delightful, relaxing stay. The free shuttle to the train into Rome was very nice. The property is in the countryside so it was wonderful to step out onto our balcony and see grape vineyards and olive orchards. Our whole family enjoyed our stay.

This hotel is a very pleasant place to stay while in Rome. It is perfect for travellers wanting an affortable, clean place to stay upon arriving in Rome or prior to departure by airplane. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Other than being somewhat difficult to find, it provides excellent value for the price.

It was a nightmare to find, we had a hire car & we were going to hotel for night driving to airport in the morning & dropping hire car back. The hotel was sooo hard to find, we had to drop the hire car off the night before at the airport - spending a further 100 euros on taxi fares back & forth. Even the taxi driver at the airport didn't know where it was (we had a map & directions)& handed us over to a driver with sat nav. A lovely week in Italy we didn't need this hassel at the end.

Not at all like the photos on the webpage. Not recently renovated, in fact could use renovation, especially the bathroom! Difficult to find. Road referenced in directions is under extensive construction and partly closed, hotel should have provided alternate route or described detour. Sketch of route from major roads would also help. Shuttle service forgot to pick us up at night, had to take cab back to hotel. Paper with train and shuttle schedule did not even have the hotel's phone number! Tried subway another day, parking at the terminus was to be covered by hotel. Paid subway parking at machine and was denied the whopping refund of 1.50 Euro because the receipt had the wrong name. I would suggest spending a little more and staying somewhere else!

This was the second time my wife and I stayed at the Villa Maria Luigia. The Villa Maria Luigia is close to the airport (Ciampino). Hearing that we had an early flight, they offered us a package breakfast. We have no complaints and will gladly recommend Villa Maria Luigia. On our last evening there, they recommended a local trattoria, where we had the best food we had eaten all week.

The surroundings of Villa Maria Luigia are beautiful, but the hotel ought to inform travellers, that it is not possible to get taxies from the town of Frascati after 21 o clock in the evening. We happened to get the wrong shuttle-bus back to the hotel and had to return to town. It was rather a bad experience, but at last a young couple helped us to contact our own hotel in order to get another shuttlebus.

If I was staying in Frascati again I would select something nearer the town. The bedroom was a bit scruffy, bathroom was worse, with a hand held shower unit over the wc. The staff were really friendly and extremely helpful and provide an efficient shuttle service to town. Breakfast was very good. Staff definitely made up for the grim looking bedroom

Great location for Ciampino. Hotel is rather difficult to find especially at night. Could really do with giving better directions. However, friendly welcome, clean rooms, great value for family of 4 and best breakfast of all of the 5 hotels visited in our short stay. We were only in the hotel 9 hours but happy to recommend it.

A nice quiet family-run small hotel set in delightful surroundings. It is reasonably priced. We did book the cheapest double room, but unfortunately there was a problem with the bathroom drains and we found ourselves paddling in water in the bedroom! After a mild protest (it was midnight) they moved us without fuss to a much better room and we had a good night's sleep and excellent breakfast. We would recommend this hotel, but the lowest priced rooms are, be warned, basic.

We had an exceptionally hard time finding this place! In fact, it took us several hours. The phone number provided didn't work, so we couldn't call for help OR to confirm that we would still have rooms if we ever found it. That being said, it was located in a beautiful rural country area and the grounds were gorgeous! And the service was amazing! We arrived at 10pm, exhausted from hunting for it and starving, and they made us sandwiches and served us drinks! Now that we know where it is, we would definitely go back! Our kids saw some insect life in their room, which kind of freaked them out...but if you see insects as just part of life, I recommend this place. It's beautiful and serene.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Villa Maria Luigia. They were very accommodating and let us move rooms so that we could sit outside whilst our baby was asleep. The minibus service was super. The hotel staff were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. We would recommend this, however it is isolated and you would need a car for a least some of your stay.

Everything about our stay here was good. The view at night from the terrace, the abundant flowers, the cordiality of the people running it. I had not expected the town of Frascati to be so hectic and full of traffic - but that was my only disillusionment. The hotel people are so very helpful!

The breakfast was pretty poor. Burnt croissants and orange squash substituting for orange juice. We took it for the airport location on the last day so wern't too worried but I wouldn't want to stay there any longer. The rooms were a good size and the price sensible but you can't walk to any restaurants from here. OK for a quick stopover.

This hotel is very convenient due to the free shuttle bus (their own brand new vehicle) service to Frascati station, about 5 mins from the hotel and then 2 stops into Rome Termini. The owners are very friendly and welcoming and the hotel has a peaceful atmosphere and beautiful gardens. Our room was very good value - we have 3 children and we had a suite of 2 bedrooms with a shower room for 109 euros. We really enjoyed our time there and would stay there next time we visit Rome.

Despite the information given in the venere web info the house does not have a restaraunt - only B&B,, there is a restaraunt 1k up road. The room had no ventilation as shutters were solid and not louvred, a fan was provided upon our request.
