Hotel Michelangelo - Forlì

The place was SUPER close to the Vatican and not too far from the metro stop. I left my IPOD there when I left Rome and the owner MAILED IT BACK TO MY HOME ADDRESS. So they are SUPER honest and secure. It was close to a busy road but everything seems to be busy with night life so I think it is a great place and the people are wonderful!

Even though we stayed during renovations,everywhere was clean, tidy and quiet. We loved the extra touches such as the welcome coffee and cakes, the apples and weather report at the breakfast table. Excellent staff on reception!

What made our stay very very pleasant was the staff.. we looked very unhappy when we arrived, not expecting the hotel to be out in the fields and away from everything, but the service we received from the staff was the best in Europe and that changed our perception about the hotel. The staff upgrated our room to mini suite for a small extra charge but it was well worth it. We had a large bedroom and a large sitting room with two flat screen T.Vs.

This was my second visit. A 10 Euro taxi ride from the airport and a 15 minute walk to the rail station the next morning make it most convenient for a late arrival by air. The room was comfortable and clean, the staff pleasant, and the breakfast was better than most.

It's a business hotel-there wasn't much choice in Forli, but definitely preferable to the airport options

This was an excellent staging post before a flight from Forli airport. The pink frontage on the web site is of their ice-cream parlour which is on the main road into town from the airport. The modern hotel structure behind this faces onto a quiet side street with on-street parking to boost the hotel's own car park. We could sleep with the bedroom windows open in January. A problem with a slight noise from the hot air heating was dealt with promptly. The breakfast buffet was a good as any you could expect from an Italian hotel. Some stained carpets in the corridor, marks on the bedroom walls and non-functioning bedhead radio suggest redecoration will be called for soon. There is an excellent restaurant/pizzeria (Il Scarpino) just across the road - closed Tuesdays

The only reason we came to Forli was due to an inexpensive flight with Ryanair. We had a night to stay over before picking up our car. What a wonderful city. We were pleasantly surprised. The hotel was in an excellent location within walking distance of the downtown area and restaurants. The staff were exceptionally friendly, The breakfast one of the best we encountered. Would highly recommend and definitely return.
