i was very disapointed by the room I reserved, it was supposed to be a room with sea view and in fact we were over the restaurant and we have teh view of the plastic roof of this restaurant and the small swimming pool was very dirty

Umberto and his family is very service-minded and makes every effort for their guests to have a nice stay. This was the second time I visited Torre Sant'Angelo, and I brought my parents with me this time (68 and 70 years old) - and they loved the place too. Excellent breakfasts and the dinners are very nice too. I hope to visit the hotel again :-)

We were staying at Torre de Sant Angelo Hotel at the end of october. The hotel is located over stony cliffs very close to the sea. It has wonderful terraces with a phantastic view. It has three little pools that are fed by own thermal sources, so you can join the hot water 24h a day, relaxing and looking onto the sea. Very near by (many steps) there is a little beach that also has hot stones, so there is hot and cold water even in the sea. Everyone in the hotel was very relaxed and extraordinary helpful. The place gave us a very good feeling for our stay on the little Ischia Island.

Ottima struttura, unica pecca la distanza dal paese con una salita mozzagambe e un poco di rumore notturno, paesaggio stupendo, ottima cucina, da provare.

Very nice stay, and the staff and Umberto makes every effort to make the stay as nice as possible. I had half board when I stayed at the hotel, and it was very good dinner, you usually get to choose from two different starters and main courses. Excellent view from restaurant and very nice breakfast. Clean and nice rooms and quiet and relaxing atmosphere :-) The road down from Panza/bus stop to the hotel is a bit steep (especially going up), but it is possible to ask for transport. The bus from Panza to Ishcia/Forio etc. is easy to use, and I used the stay to travel around on the island. I stayed in a superior room some of the days upon request, but that room did not have air condition. Mosquitos made it difficult to stay outside on terraces at night and to have the window open when sleeping (don't know if it a problem all year or only in May).

Torre Sant'Angelo is located off the beaten path at the end of a tiny road winding down towards the coast, about a 30min walk from Sant'Angelo. This makes the hotel great for a quiet retreat from the touristy towns, but difficult to get to without a motorized vehicle. The view of Sant'Angelo is beautiful, the pool area is acceptable, and the communal patio for breakfast is well-situated. They offered free WiFi, which was great! The desk staff was very accommodating and laid-back. Rooms varied widely. Our room was significantly smaller than others and had only a partial view. Ask for a room with a full view of Sant'Angelo town and overlooking the pool. Staff members served as an alarm clock each day, talking so loudly in the hallway each morning that one could not sleep in. We chose half-board, which is convenient given the location, but the food was significantly oversalted every night. Overall, the hotel was acceptable but not the same quality as other 3-star hotels we've stayed in. Then again, the price was also cheaper than other 3-star hotels so the price/quality relationship was decent.

We spent 4 nights here and it was really a lovely family run hotel. The food was amazing and the place was very tranquil and relaxing. The staff were a lovely Italian family and took great pride in their business. We would go back again and again...thank you!

We had to take a taxi from Forio since it was dark when we arrived in Ischia so we didn't get the chance to see the hotel. When we went for breakfast, by the way was awesome, we were amazed with the view. We would have to say that it was one the best hotel settings we have been to. Our villa room was great even though we didn't get the view of the ocean but it works well with us. The hospitality there was wonderful. They were very welcoming and willing to help you in anyway they can. We love that it was a walking distance from one of the best natural hot spring in Ischia. We stayed at Torre Sant'Angelo for 3 days and will return soon.

We are a Mexican family with 2 children. We had a rented car to reach the hotel, it is not so easy if you do not have a car. The hotel is very nice, the people in the reception are very helpful. Our room had all the facilities, with a view to the swimming pool and part of the ocean. The hotel is only 10 minutes walk to a beautiful beach with termal waters. We really enjoyed our stay at Torre Sant'Angelo, it is a quiet lovely place.

I stayed with my daughter for two weeks and it was excellent. We had breakfast in the hotel and it was delicious. I regret that we did not book half board. The owners were wery welcoming, the surroundings are stunning and the Sorgeto beach is just 100 metres away. There is a thermal swimming pool as well.

The Hotel is great, the view magnificent, the staff tremendous, the location good, the meals wonderful. Our only compLaint was that the room lacked a refigerator and as the weather was hot it was a big deal to us. Ischia is great other than the ferries to get there which are awful to say the least and as we come from the Canadian west coast we know ferries

We had a wonderful time in Torre S.Angelo hotel who has a magnificent view and 2 lovely swimming pools. The only draw back of this hotel is the narrow road leading to it. The waiters Dino and Piero as well as owner Umberto were very friendly and made us feeling very welcome. Impressive was also the food served, chef Giuseppe is second to none. This is our first time to Ischia. We will definetly go back

Our stay would have been perfect if not for the excessive heat! We had no A/C in the room which made it difficult to sleep. That being said, the hotel location was great the room was spacious and clean with one of the most beautiful views of Sant'Angelo. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. The owners and the staff were very cordial and accomodating. There was parking if you have a car also.

We booked this hotel having read user reviews on trip advisor. It was very good indeed. I have no hesitation in recommending it. We had to make changes to car rental and our ferry from ischia to amalfi, the owners were very friendly and helpful in all areas.

Stayed two nights in Torre Sant'Angelo in May 2005. This is a spectacular location if you don't mind being a little off the beaten path. We had a rental car, so it was easy to get up and down the steep slope that leads to this charming hotel. Without a car, it's still walkable up to the main street (this is as close as the buses can get to you), but like I say, it's a fairly steep climb. Go ahead and spend the extra cash to get a Deluxe Sea-View room. The hotel sits fairly high on the hillside, which gives you an absolutely stunning view of Sant'Angelo below. The staff was incredibly sweet and kind. Could not have been better. We signed up for the B&B, and I thought this was the best breakfast I'd had anywhere during my 10 days in Italy. Next time I'll go full board. I'm curious about the history of the property, though. Some sections of the building (first and second level) look like they were never completed. You don't really notice it until you go down to the pool area. From here you can see all the tale-tale signs that this hotel never quite became what its builders had intended. Not much of a distraction, really. Just interesting. The functional part of the hotel is top notch--beautiful, clean rooms, a fantastic dining room and outdoor terrace, three large, heated pools overlooking the sea. Excellent quality for a very reasonable price.

We were there the last 3 nights before they closed for the season. We were the only ones there. Nonetheless they cooked us fabulous dinners and were super kind to us. The views were outstanding. Our only complaint was that the weather went cold on us and their thermal pools were not hot enough to use and we were really hoping for that. Now I dsee why they close for the season, but this place was incredibly beautiful and the family staff that runs it were most kind to us.

I really enjoyed our stay here, the only thing is was quite difficult to find in the first place, as it is situated in Panza and not Forio or Sant Angelo, and a bloody steep walk to get anywhere. There were mostly Germans in the hotel who hogged the spa bits on the pebbly beach by the hotel so it's definitely worth getting a bus or hiring a car to go to other beaches. The hotel was fantastic tho, incredible view from huge balcony and it has 2 pools, a hot and a cold and also a jacuzzi! definitely recommend this hotel and also the restaurant which is if you turn left out the hotel but instead of going down the cliff towards the beach turn right and walk upwards instead and there is a brilliant place that does huge platters of spaghetti and seafood!

We had a great stay in Torre Sant'Angelo. Our room was great - very spacious, with an amazing view from our large balcony. The dinners offered were excellent and great value (We had booked B&B but ate in the hotel 4 of our 6 nights there). The service offered by this family-run hotel was excellent and very friendly. We strongly recommend this hotel and would certainly stay there again.

The view from the rerrace or balcony of the hotel is the best I have ever had. The food in the evening is perfect and though I'm a big eater, it is perfectly enough!I was very positive surprised to get fresh orange juice in the morning. The rooms are simple but clean and the staff is very friendly. Only wish: there are TV's but only with italian channels, this could be changed! As the hotel is a bit outside from the city you have to use the bus or rent a car / vespa. The bus is very cheap but to reach the bus station you have to walk 10 minutes up the hill which is quite exhausting. My advice: Stay for one week, this is perfectly enough to see everything! Do not use speedboats to go to Neapel or to other island they are very expensive compared to the other ships which are just a bit slower and were you can seve 50% of the price!

Torre Sant'Angelo is placed in a magnificent setting. The view of the water and near by Santa Angelo are breath taking. The hotel provides dinner for a very resonable price and they were very acomodating to my dietary needs. The rooms are huge! The isolated location of the hotel is also a drawback if you want to explore the island. To get anywhere you need to walk up a long, narrow road to access the bus which is not fun in the heat. We decided to rent a car to get the most out of the island. You need to know that driving is not for the easily intimidated. The roads are narow and the scooter drivers are crazy. If you can look at it like an amzing adventure you'll be fine. Once we could access the island we had an amazing vacation retreat. Ischia has beautiful beaches and spas. If you are looking for a relaxing beach retreat Ischia and Torre SAnt'Angelo are wonderful.

Fantastic views from our room but shower tended to flood the bathroom. Very little English spoken by staff but that was the case on Ischia in general and was a good challenge. NB there's a bit of a hike uphill to the main road. Pool area rundown, looked like a building site although the pools themselves were clean and good range of temeratures.

We had a fantastic stay in this hotel. It is family run and a very relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. The location was simply breathtaking and was very close to the famous beach with hot spa water rushing out of the rocks and the gorgeous village of Torro Sant'Angelo. We plan to return to Ischia in the near future and would definatly stay in this hotel. I couldn't fault it!
