Hotel Parrini - Follonica

People at the hotel are nice, rooms are OK, it is OK for a budget stay. Only two remarks: 1. whereas I made a booking for 85 euro/night, as was written on the web site, I received a confirmation for 100 euro/night. (note that I received the usual SMS confirmation "Hotel X has confirmed your booking" - but the actual price was not mentioned in the SMS) I noticed the modified price as a comment in the confirmation email, and reported it to Venere.com. They talked to the hotel owners, but the price did not change. Worst, the wrong quote stayed on the Venere web site, until I wrote them a second time. So, when your reservation is confirmed also check the price, because you may end up paying more than you think. 2. the second night there was apparently a birthday party in the basement club, and until 11pm the music was coming up to the 2nd floor. Apart from this episode the staying was good, rooms are normally quiet, the sea view is nice and the hotel is in a good location. From Follonica, especially if you have a car, you can tour around to many nice places, from Baratti/Populonia to Argentario, Grosseto and Saturnia, only to mention a few.

We only stayed one night and wished we had a few more. This is a quaint, seaside community that provides a breath-taking hiatus from the fast paced tours of other more well known Italian cities. Everything about our stay was fantastic and we will return the next time we are in Italy. Molta Grazie Hotel Parrini, piacciamo melio! C&D

An excellent hotel, staff very friendly, breakfast OK, more fresh food would have been nice instead of packets. Room very nice.

Very clean, nice beach, friendly people and the breakfast was decent. We had a very very small room, had to put one of our suitcases on the bed and the other on a chair so we could move in the room! Bathroom was clean, and the price was very good.

Everything was what we expected and even a little more, but because we opted for bed and breakfast instead of half/full board, we were charged for using the beach( chairs-umbrellas). We didn't know this until check-out. They did only charge us for 1 day, and we used it for 2, but I think you should be told up front all costs. The last thing you do is pay the bill, so if you are unhappy when you pay the bill that is what is going to stick with you. That aside, the accommadations were exactly what we wanted.

Very good. Probably pitcures on the website should be better. The Hotel seems less interesting than it actually is. Very good service of owners. Very good location and cooking.

The only comment I have is that, the pictures on the internet look old, and I was almost on my way not to book the hotel, but at the end , I booked it and was possitive suprised of the hotel, when I saw it.
