Hotel Château de Floure - Floure

The hotel was charming, set in lovely gardens, and our superior room was characterful and spacious. Unfortunately the night we stayed there was a thunderstorm and it was very windy and rained heavily. That's when we realised there were three leaks in the roof, one in the bathroom and two in the bedroom, one of which was directly over the bed.When I complained about this on checking out the gentlman at reception said it wasn't his fault that it had been raining! I asked for a discount as I had paid for a superior room, he gave me a 3% discount! He called the maintenance man and I heard that there had been two other rooms with leaks also.Perhaps we had just been unlucky with the weather. Breakfast in the morning was lovely but rather pricey at 18 Euro's each. If they want to charge top rates, they need to make sure they can deliver that quality of service.
