This is a very nice hotel with many rooms and good service. It is also well located near the main station The airconditioning is a bit noisy but not irritating. The quality/price ratio is very convenient. I sincerely recommend it, the breakfast is very good and plenty.

Hotel Victoria is in a great location. In walking distance to the city center and only a few blocks from the train station. Nice, basic hotel at a decent price. Just don't use the hairdryer while the AC is on, you will blow a fuse:)

I have never been to a hotel in Italy where you had to push a button on a machine in order to get a cup of coffee. There was an expresso machine there but we were told that we could not have that coffee because "it was to strong". Finally on our last day there we spoke with the man at the desk and were able to get a decent cup of coffee. My bathroom was ok but my travel companions had the bathrooms from hell. Small and when you took a shower, water everywhere. The rooms in the front were noisy. I won't be staying here again.

Floerence - This hotel received a low rating because we did not get much sleep. The hotel caters to youth groups and they run the halls all night. We stayed two nights and went through two different groups of young teens. Very frustating that the hotel did not do more to quiet them for the benefit of the other guests. Location is good for sightseeing and train station. Price is fair. Breakfast is ok. Next time would probably find a different hotel.

Overall a very nice hotel near the city center!! Just two things: - 2nd night was very rumourous (group of 40 children in the other rooms) and the hot water failed in the morning. - Missed some cheese or ham for breakfast, only sweet food available.

You get what you pay for here. Perfectly adequate hotel in Florence close to the station and main sites. The rooms are well used but they are clean and the staff is nice. Breakfast is good. The only problem I had was that they kept turning the AC off when we were out of the room. I know they want to save money and I can appreciate that but it was Florence in July and it was hot. I would stay here again.

our stay at victoria hotel was reasonable. we happened to be there at the same time as girls only school excursion. so the girls made it very noisy. the room was great but the bathroom could do with a bit of work. the surroudning area is a bit fishy. if i was alone i would be uncomfortable walking there by myself at night. however its very close to train station and only 10 minute walk to the duomo. one piece of advice be careful when eating in restaurants they charge service and cover charge apprx. 2-3 euros each per person. thats the cost of one meal.

Hotel location was GREAT. Room was spacious and clean. However, room was on a noisy street and they had a school group, so there was lots of voices, as the doors are pretty thin and the voices carry. Also bathroom has no curtain and water pressure is weak. Overall, though, a good stay.

Fate i vostri conti. Sembra un dettaglio, diventerà un incubo.

We changed to another hotel after three nights. The plentiful ventilation fans in the back yard almost drove us crazy. I had asked for a quiet room away from traffic! For 130Eur a night, we had expected some kind of hotel-feeling, at least a public area to read a newspaper and have something to drink. This was a Bead and Breakfast hotel for young backpackers. Classification *** is definately wrong, as the prices were. Our 4 last nights we spent in a beautiful and quiet *** hotel in the neighbourhood. That made our stay in Florence a very good one.

Prima colazione frettolosa in ambiente angusto. Non ci ritornerò.

Overall, Victoria hotel is a pretty good hotel, in a good location. The breakfast is very good: cornflakes, juices, hot beverages (including chocolate), an assortment of pastries, biscuits and desserts. Unfortunately there were no eggs or vegetables. Unlike the street side, the back side is quiet, however one can not open the window due to the smell from a nearby pizzeria chimney. The air-conditioning is not individually controlled since the hotel decides when to switch from cold air to heating regardless of the actual weather. The bathroom is modern and spacious but the bathtubs (unlike the showers) have no curtain to prevent from the water from splashing the surroundings. The splashed water then oozes to the bedroom which is lower.

The location of the hotel was tricky to find. Be prepared to pack lightly an take a LOT of stairs. Once we arrived, it was an incredible location. Not quite in town, but a relatively easy walk. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were spacious but fairly minimal in decore. Since the hotel is quite inexpensive, I would recommend requesting a deluxe suit instead of a standard room to guarantee an amazing view...it is well worth it! And bring your earplugs... the roosters strike up early. The beach access is easy and the hotel has a far superior private beach compared to the one in town. The restaurants are good, but the included breakfast is minimal. overall, the place far exceeded our expectations, as we didn't expect much for the price. A great travel find!

The hotel was easy to find by car, but be prepared to have a very good map and an excellent driver:). The garage indicated on the webpage is just next to the hotel, very conveniently located but also very pricely (20 EUR a day while we were there). Alltogether the hotel is well worth the price we paid for even with the extra charges. Hotel Victoria is literally 5 minutes walking distance from the train/bus station. It really was in such a convenient area- we walked to all of the sights in Florence from there. The flea market is around the corner. Restaraunts are open late in the square- all of them were great! We were there in the beginning of July it was so nice to be able to walk to everything! We loved it! The rooms are clean, no shower curtain in the bathroom- but all we cared about was having our bathroom w/shower ! We had a very nice stay at Hotel Victoria. It's only a short walking distance from the train station and all the tourist attractions, specially the Central Mercado and shopping stalls! There are also some very good Tratorias on the same street, or just around the corner from the hotel. The only problem we had during our stay was the air-conditioning. We should have asked for more details how to control the settings on the remote. Then, one night, the A/C fuse must have blown and we woke up to a very warm room. Otherwise, nice facilities and very quiet room.

Florence hotels have a reputation for small and noisy rooms, flights of stairs to navigate with your luggage, and unhelpful staff. None of these were a problem at the Victoria Hotel where our room was spacious and quiet (although it was at the back away from the road), and where a lift allowed easy access to the upper floors. The location is ideal, close to both the railway station and the sights, and the staff are very friendly, albeit with limited English. When we needed to leave earlier than expected (for reasons unrelated to the hotel) the staff were very understanding and only charged us for the nights that we had stayed. I would wholeheartedly recommend the Victoria Hotel as a place to stay whilst visiting this beautiful city.

Although this is a basic hotel, you cant beat it for the price. The room was average size for Florence, very clean, with TV+air con but no views as you are in the city centre. It is just round the corner from the central market if you like bargains they have loads especially the leather goods. This hotel has a very central location and is therefore a nice place to stay if you want to explore the city of Florence. Because the hotel is near to the Mercato Centrale the roads are quite noisy, but the airconditioning (with remote control!) brings fresh air into the room so you can keep the windows closed. Seemed much more than 100 meters from the central train station, probably closer to 700 meters, but still not too far. Located down the street from a shopping bazaar. Air conditioner was very powerful, highly recommended if you like a cold room on a hot day. Attendant walked us to the room, which was nice. Picture listed on venere.com with the view of the countryside is simply an al fresco - do not expect to actually have breakfast on the patio. Breakfast provided was average. It was a pleasant stay. Considering what we have paid for a hotel in Rome, this was a very good value. The room was spacious and clean, though the hotel itself is bit dated. Only complain is a noise from outside - it seems the city of Florence cleans streets at night. We heard noises from street clearing around 11-12pm every night during our stay.
