Very nice little hotel, excellent location for train and bus services, nice and quiet rooms, good breakfast, helpful and smiling staff, close to everything in central Florence. Nice range of restaurants along the neighbouring streets.

Spent there two nights - 'palace' in the name is real for the interior too, wonderful place to stay when you're in Firenze. Close enough to downtown, so easy to walk, yet it has even car parking option inside. The very only little issue was at the second night: someone arrived very late and got 'talking noises' from somewhere in the building - not next room, probably an issue of old buildings leading sound within walls. Apart from that, its all great!

In April 2008 we stayed in Hotel Vasari, and as it was acceptable, this April we choose this hotel again. The hotel is situated very close to the airport shuttle bus stop, the railway station, and to a major hub of the local bus system. Most of the monuments and interesting points can be reached on foot, e.g. Piazza del Duomo is less than ten minute walk. Thus the hotel is convenient both for travel and sight-seeing. The hotel personnel was kind and helpful. The medium-size room was clean, simply but practically furnished, with a clean and functional bathroom. The room was quiet, the traffic noise was not disturbing at all, in spite of the proximity of the traffic hubs. This year we had a quiet garden-side room, with trees in front of the window. However, unfortunately, it is not advisable to open the window because of the many mosquitos. Last year the usual Italian style breakfast was quite limited. This year it was noticeably improved, it was a continental breakfest buffet, with some ham, salami and cheese in the offering. Hotel Vasari was a good basis for visiting Florence and Tuscany.

The rooms next doors were quite noisy because they were babies crying since 6 AM every day of our stay. The room are very acustics so it did not filter the noise. We were 3 days in florence, but one week in Italy and the others Hotels In Lucca, Pisa and Siena were really nice and the staff realy friendly so I was expecting something similar in this one. The Hotel is ok for the Busy City, but for the price of 80 euros per night I was expecting something really nice and with a good bathroom like the rest of the hotels in Tuscany. We went with a group of friend, but they stay in other hotel in Florence and they paid much less money for a better room. The location however is perfect, you can walk like 10 - 15 min and you rich the duomo and 5 - 10 min to the Rail station so if you are looking for that this hotel would be perfect, but please do not take your girlfriend in her birthday to this place as she will be really disappointed ( Happened to me :( )

Arrivata in stanza ho troavato tv,aria condizionata, e imposte rotti.

Cheap and well situated. Rooms are basic but OK, bathroom was compact and shower needs to be modernised but otherwise functional. Breakfast simple but in the local style. Not really my idea of a 3 star hotel. But if you just want a well situated room for the night, then it's OK. Great location for the congress center or the leather market.

Not a good Stay at all! Room was tiny! Breakfast was bare...rolls and spreads with some cereal. Most hotel staff spoke limited English. Worst of all the ceiling in the bathroom leaked when it rained outside! Asked about switching rooms but was no clear since hotel staff did not speak English very well. Price was very high due to it being Easter Weekend. Was just very upset and did not think this hotel resembled a three star hotel at all. Would never stay here again! Was close to the train station (only thing I would say that was a plus). Even if more expensive search for other hotels in Florence area.

As stated this hotel is within 5 minutes walk of the train station. The hotel itself is great--the employees were helpful and friendly. Our only tension was that in the evening it did get a little dark and intimidating at times.

This hotel was very close to the train station, but despite this, the neighborhood was fairly quiet and felt safe. As with most properties in Florence, it was close to most sites. The room was clean, but lacked character. The hotel staff was very helpful and knowledgeable, even obtaining difficult reservations for us. Staying at Vasari was a good experience overall.

Hotel Vasari is very close to the Termini, if you are traveling by train. Very easy to find and within walking distance. Staff was kind and informative - even warned about the gypsies!! The hotel use to be a nunnery or something....and from the rooms, it definitely looks like it. Second floor room has a balcony - beware though - no screens so bugs will and did fly into the room. Not really big on breakfast there even though included in the price, but I would stay here again. Clean sheets, clean bathroom, nice amount of space for the price.

Great hotel, nice rooms, very friendly employees at the reception. Railway station and the restaurant "Enzo and Piero" (absolutely delicious!) are just around the corner. The only negative point about the hotel: If you get up a little later and don't have breakfast before 9 o'clock, you might not get anymore bread coz it's running out (everyday...)

The noisiest hotel I have ever been in. There is a 1.5 cm space all around the door, merely masked by an applied piece of wood that keeps out only light, and one hears all corridor noises as if there were no door, as well as every sound and word from surrounding rooms. The 4:30 wakeup call never came, but when after waking up to my alarm clock I went to the desk I was told that it had rung two times! It turned out that the system had been turned off in the centrolinea. The taxi arranged did not arrive but after a phone call a taxi did come. I was very unhappy at the attitude about the lack of wakeup call and taxi. It was more or less, "So what?" but there was an international flight leaving at 6 o'clock. The bathroom is very nice.

Great experience - large, clean rooms, minibar (for those late night snacks) adequate bathroom (small, European type, but adequate)and an elevator (a rarity). The hands down best part was the location - about a block away from the train station (but not in a shady part) and central to everything you would want to see. The main drawbacks were 1. The staff did not speak English for the most part (especially the afternoon woman), 2. There was no internet availability in the hotel (although there are plenty of internet cafes close to the hotel). and 3. No cable (although, in Florence, who wants to stay in and watch TV?). In sum, it was a great value for the money (we paid 90 Euros a night) - the benefits far outweighed the drawbacks....Would definitely recommend!

During our stay in a double room from 27th to 31st of August we could not have windows open due to mosquitos! The electrical appliance against mosquitos was totally in vane, but still bad for the health due to chemical gas. Also, hot water for shower kept being rare, due to a boiler malfunction. Price reduction for this was only 5,- Euros/day against 70,- Euros/day of the full rate, which makes only 7% reduction due to inconveniences.

there was a messed up with our room. my friend and i booked a double (two beds). however, they had trouble first finding the key to our room, and then realized they had given it to someone else. we ended up with a matrimonial bed. nevertheless, they changed us to two beds the next day. the best thing about this place is location. it's close to the train station and it is in the historic center, so you can walk everywhere. the only thing is that the shower was so small.

Hotel VASARI is a very nice place to stay. Located near the center of Firenze. Looking at the location map people can be frightened by the fact the central station is not far (we should think the place noisy: IT'S NOT THE CASE AT ALL) Accomodations are very good. One of my concern was also to park safely my own car (due to the social European summit): Hotel VASARI as a very safe parking lot. I forgot something in my room: they called me and they forwarded these things to me. Be sure i'll go there for my next stay to Firenze
