there are many stairs and no lift, not suitable for people with heavy luggage. there was no hot water and it was cool in the rooms, a bit noisy in the rooms to the street.. The location was perfect, very close to the train station. I would stay there again, good price for location.

This hotel is great for low budget traveller. I needed a place to stay for 3 nights and it was perfect. The room is big enough for 1-2 person. It was cleaned. You may want to bring your international cell phone since you cannot dial out. Also pack your bag light. There were no elevator. You have to walk on the stairs.

Room was very small, but at back of hotel, so lovely and quite. Location was best of all - perfect spot from the station, and for value for money for a place to sleep was excellent! Not luxury by any means, but excellent price and location - would recommend.

Don't accept room # 212! The bathroom is ridiculous! There is not enough space even to sit on the toilet and no way to deposit cosmetics! At least it was very clean and the location of the hotel is great!

By all means i think it was a bad choice. Much overpriced for the standard and very noisy rooms. If we would not have closed the windows, i dont think we would have been able to sleep at all. The only merit of the property is its closeness to the SMN train station, hardly 5 mins walk on the main road to the Duomo. Would recommend to book any other hotel but not this.

Positives: - Close to city center and train station ( 10 min walk ) Negatives: - Room in fourth floor and no lift - Impossible to take a shower without flooding the bathroom (some water gets to the room) - Breakfast is poor - too pricey

The property is a good location to get around in Florence on foot as it is centrally located. It is a safe area to walk around in the evening as it is on a main street and there are lots of people around. There is no elevator for this hotel and you do have to climb 2 to 4 flight of steps to get to your room depending on where it is. It is a budget hotel based on North American standard. The building trembles when heavy traffic goes by. Family of 5, Canada

The location of this hotel was perfect - very close to the Duomo, shopping, restaurants and everything else wonderful that Florence has to offer. I was taken aback by the fact that I had to pay for the airconditioning, only because I was not aware of this. The establishment is clean but quite run down, with very steep rickety stairs that were pretty tough when carrying luggage (we were on the top floor). there was no parking available, only through a private company and it was extremely expensive - 25 euro a day.

The hotel is located very near the train station making it very easy to get to. It is on a very busy street but the room we had was to the rear of the building so we did not hear any street noise. Unfortunetly we had a view of another wall. It rained and yet was very warm.

Room is soiled and poor ventilation. Extra charge on air-conditioning, if not the room just like an oven! Water is dripping off the air-conditioner which our luggages get soaked overnight! Small, cramped shower room do not have shower curtain and the floor is wet and messy. Breakfast is like what you may expect in a youth hostel. I wouldn't recommend this place.

The staff was really nice and were happy to answer our questions. However, if you have a lot of luggage don't stay here. There is no elevator and so walking up and down 5 flights of stairs with a lot of luggage was not fun. Also, the AC doesn't wotk that great so it was really, really hot. Not worth the money we spent.

Great location, nice folks. Smell of air freshener to hide years old smoke when you first walk in, you adjust quickly. Staff was helpful and nice. Our room was small with a big bed, not a place to hang out, but a good place to sleep.

The hotel has very bad installations. Four floors without lifting that make very difficult the transport of baggages. Only one access by stairs that is very questionable for me related to the fire proctection. The rooms are ample but the beds are in a bad quality and the clothes are dirty and foul-smelling. The shower is very bad and the bathroom don’t have adequate ventilation. Intolerable stay. The staff is nice but don’t compensates the installations deficiency. Only positive point is the proximity of the main tourist points. I recommend absolutely to avoid.

I strongly recommend this hotel to tourists from South East Asia who want to save costs of travelling but can have a decent place to sleep. This is an excellent and simple budget hotel that is so close to railway station, shops and places of interest. Very happy with the breakfast that includes freshly baked bread and cereals with hot tea and coffee. Please try this hotel, you won't regret. Mark Tan Sarawak, Malaysia

Although the location of the hotel is superb (only five minutes walk to train station and the Duomo), the hotel room was not overly clean. The furniture needs to be replaced (not just recovered). The service was adequate during the day, but the night desk man was not friendly and only mildy helpful. The private shower was not adequate and did not work properly. And although the room is advertised as being with Air Conditioning, the hotel decided that it was not hot enough to be used. It was hot enough.

We thouroughly enjoyed our stay in Hotel Spagna and Florence. The room was clean. The staff was very friendly and accomadating. The location was excellent. It was very close to the train station and all the major tourist attractions. I have already recommeded this hotel to friends.

The location (in the center of Florence near the main train station) and the service were wonderful. The room was small and had no view but was comfortable; our only real complaint was the lack of an elevator -- we had a lot of heavy luggage and hauling it up two flights of stairs wasn't fun.

This was chosen for it's location close to the train station and quick walk to the Duomo. It had air conditioning (vital in summer) and the room was very quiet considering it was a main street. On the downside, there is no lift, so if you are 3 or 4 floors it's difficult for bags. The rooms are very basic especially the bathrooms. This is a hotel to stay in when you are going to be spending all your time out of it, and to that end it serves it's purpose.

took 2 rooms; one had shower and sink in the room, front and center. No toilet. That was down the hall. Other room had toilet, shower and sink in one tiny room with the smell of sewage coming through the room. Kind of like a prison cell. Management was nice..location too close to train station. Place was noisy, rooms not just small but dark with carpetting that had seen better days. Had originally booked for 4 nights but stayed only one. Would recommend only for a very budget conscious student...Sarah Belleto

For 95 euros per night the hotel was extremely disappointing. The rooms were extremely small and the cleanliness was less than satisfactory. The location was extremely central, but the noise from the street and from the adjoining rooms made sleep impossible. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and in future I will pay a little extra to stay somewhere cleaner and quieter.
