It is situated at the central location of the city. The price is good including breakfast. The bathroom is quite small without curtain.

A convenient location and good price, but no A/C, noisy, and with mosquitoes attacking nightly, we did not have a good experience at this hotel. It was hot and humid and we could not open the windows because of the mosquitos. I would not recomend this hotel.

Cramped (!) room with mouldy (!) worn-out plastic (!) floor covering, washing basin inside the room (!) instead of in the shower/toilet closet, actively ugly interior (nice curtains though), no elevator, no speaking English (well, some of the personnel did, but not all), breakfast only from 8 a.m. onwards (my academic programme started at 9 in Fiesole, so no breakfast for me in those days), bad coffee from a machine... Also, I did not happy with the fact that I had been given the smallest and ugliest single room on the floor, I got a glimpse of some other rooms, they looked quite pretty in comparison. I suppose it was because I was a female travelling alone (sorry for the stereotype). But the linen was supremely clean, and the room was clean, and the breakfast, except for the coffee, was quite good. And the personnel were very polite and pleasant. And the location of the hotel was very good indeed.

There is no lift and we need to climb to the 4th floor to our room with 3 big luggages. The toilet has no light. Room is noisy as it is facing the main road. Breakfast was okay; cereal with milk and some bread. Location is good as it is only 5 minutes from the train station.

This hotel is very near from the Duomo, at the heart of all monuments and train station. But the first night we had to stay in the fifth floor, there is no elevator, and the room was noisy because main street was down. Nevertheless, the rest of nights we stayed in the first floor. At the reception desk the woman was kind, but I had a little problem with the old man staying at the reception at night. Maybe it was a problem of language, and he was not very kind.

The best thing about this hotel is it's location. Just about perfect for exploring the city. Not far from the station or bus-stops to visit nearby Pisa or Sienna. The room was decent. The bathroom was cramped, with the washbasin located outside it, in the bedroom itself, which was a bit inconvenient. Overall very good value for a great location. Oh! i forgot to mention the do not have an elevator! so stay here if u dont mind carrying your luggage up by yourself.

We stayed only one night and didn't even care if they charged us. The beds were the most uncomfortable things I have ever slept on and the lamps didn't work. The hallways were also poorly lit. I have to say the staff was great and was of great assistance. Sorry but I would never stay here again.

My mattress/bedspread was very worn down, though I did notice maid cleaning room next to mine that looked much better. Shower had toilet right next to it but it was fine for me. Room was very clean. Breakfast was fine, very friendly and helpful front desk staff. Would recommend and would stay here again.

The hotel is overpriced for the quality of the room we were offered. The bathrooms are particularly below standard, and there was a definite hole in our floor that had been carpeted over. The room's TV did not work, and the breakfast served in a room 4 floors downstairs was very average. Location was very good, but noisy. Give this one a miss.

The Romagna is a nice little hotel right between the train station and the cathedral. This is The hotel strip, with several options around. The rooms are small and bathrooms smaller still (no curtains and no space for them... the shower is almost on top of the toilet sink). The price is reasonable for what you get, but if you have the time to look around, you can probably find a better cost/benefit ratio. There are 5 floors and no elevator. The rooms are quiet thanks to double storm windows and shade panes (the street below is quite noisy with several bus lines going through: must be hard in the summer if you like open windows...).

The hotel was good enough, with quite small room in the center of Florence. The service and cleanliness of rooms was really correct. What I don't really understand is why the price is so high in Italy! If you are seraching a normal rate hotel in Florence, you may choose it!

Shocking. The website photographs have nothing to do with this establishment. Apart from the staff that was very friendly, the hotel is in decay, dirty, a real put off. I wonder if there is any sense in choosing a hotel via the net again.

Was a pretty good hotel. The stairs were a bit steep and the crowd was a little young and loud, but the room and price was nice. I annoy easily with drunken 20-somethings. Location was also good.

Two points: 1) My girlfriend didn't like the towels. She has a preference for the fluffy kind rather than the teatowel-like ones supplied. 2) Watch that they don'r rip you off on your credit card like they did to me. Rather than charge me in Euros they converted to pounds and added around €5 commision.

The hotel is clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful and most of them spoke English as well. The hotel was super conveniently located within 3 minutes walk from the Duomo & truly central to the city. You got more at this stay then you would expect from the price. There's nothing fancy about it, but I would definitely recommend it to all as a good, solid tourist-class hotel.

The location is superb, two blocks southeast of Santa Maria Novella and three blocks northwest of the Duomo. The room was fine, though the shower in the bathroom is not enclosed and the toilet is missing its seat (as is the case throughout Italy, for some odd reason; was there a rash of toilet seat thefts?). The night clerk spoke NO English whatsoever and was neither friendly nor helpful. The day clerk spoke fluent English, and was both friendly and helpful. They do take credit cards, but there is NO AIR CONDITIONING in the rooms. Free parking nearby is a virtual impossibility. There is a garage a block away (it closes at 2:00 AM) with which the hotel has a discount arranged; they, too, take credit cards. All in all a fantastic place to stay if you are able to bear the lack of air conditioning.

The room was better than I expected. It was however noisy at times and very hot. No fans or air conditioning was available. It was clean. The breakfast was a little skimpy, it was difficult to get through on the phone lines, and they offered no internet service; which would have been nice. It was conveniently located in the center of everything and close to the bus and train station. All in all it was not bad experience and I recommend it for travelers who are looking for the bare minimums in lodging.

This hotel was great if you want a nice base in the centre of Florence. We had a room on the top floor, which although there were over 90 steps to climb everytime, the view over the rooftops was excellent. If you would have difficultly with lots of stairs I would request a low floor! Breakfast was basic but fine.

We stayed in a loft apt. around the corner from the hotel (owned by the same people). Since there were four of us, this was perfect--the apartment on the inside was beautifully redone and very comfortable. We were a little nervous going in initially--down an alley, the outside did not look great, but once inside, we found a delightful apt. that was quiet, (in the middle of Florence). Also, the location, close to the train station was great for us. The owner was very helpful. Breakfast was simple, but good!

We found the quality of this hotel to be extremely poor. The rooms had a bad odour and had plaster falling from the walls. The toilet and shower were impratically tiny and it was very noisey with the traffic from outside (good windows could have reduced this). We moved from this hotel, after paying full price, to a cheaper and far superiour hotel 2 streets away. Hotels in Florence can be difficult to find and this is an example of one that uses this for its "Rip off the tourists attitude".

Hotel Rogmana was an excellent place to stay. Employees are friendly and always willing to help with what ever. The hotel is close to major tourist sites and SMN train station. A added bonus is that the hotel provides breakfast every morning. Always good in my book. Rooms are clean and spacious. The only problem with the hotel, b/c is situated in the tourist district, you can hear the streets noise all of the time. Though, i would stay in this hotel again. Price and serivce is very good!

We stayed in 5 hotels during our stay in Italy and this was definitely the least appealing. The room was small and not at all welcoming and we opened directly onto people at their breakfast tables. We would not have liked to spend more than the one night here-very basic and not the best value for money we have encountered.

The map on the website was totally inaccurate and it was only potluck that we eventually found the hotel. The hotel staff were pleasant and helpful. The communal areas were extremely scruffy and in need of repair. The room itself was OK but fairly cramped and the bathroom was in rather poor condition. The location was central and as our room was at the back it wasn't noisy. The breakfast was very basic and my husband was not particularly impressed. Overall, the hotel staff made up for some of the shortfalls and I think it represented reasonable value for money.

The room was clean and the staff friendly. The beds were comfortable but pillows needed to be thrown away. This hotel is on an extremely noisy road near the main station. It was fine for one night but I would have been very fed up if I'd booked to stay there for any longer - you could not sleep! There was no air-con and Florence in July is HOT.

This hotel is ideally placed for sightseeing in Florence - and easily accessed from the train station. The rooms were very small but spotlessly clean, with the washhand basin in the bedroom and the en suite containing an open shower and toilet. The breakfast was average but for the price compared with other hotels we looked at - we felt it was good value and would recommend anyone on a budget to stay there.

The owner, Stella, was absolutely wonderful. She was very accomodating and offered excellent dining suggestions. She was a pleasure to deal with and I will remember her fondly. The room was not quite what I expected. It was very small and the bathroom was less than desirable. Also, the guy on duty at night did not have a spare key to the room, which was a problem for my roommate and I.

This was the most expensive hotel we stayed in on our trip to Italy and it was only a 2 star hotel. We felt it was expensive for what it was, particularly in comparison to the standard of accommodation we could get in Ireland for the same price. It did however have an excellent location in Florence, and the staff were extremely helpful. The room was clean and cool, and not noisy despite a main road location (our room was at the back of the hotel though). Our room was on the fourth floor and there was no lift - it was alot of stairs, fine for a day or two stay. Breakfast was poor, and to be honest not worth having.
