I was absolutely satisfied with staying in this hotel. Everything was perfect. It's located quite close to the most famous sightseeing. Staff is very friendly.

The hotel location is good, you can get to main Florence interesting sites in 10 minutes by walking. Rooms are very clean. TV is too small. One thing that I didn't like was that I had to pay an aditional fee for the air conditioned, something that I didn't expect.

This is a good hotel with a nice garden and free internet access. People from the hotel are very nice and competent. Light breakfast though and yellow water in the bathroom... Good 15 min walk from the center of Firenz. We would recommend it for young couples.

My room was so noisy, it was so hot in firenze and there´s not any air acondition, and have mosquitoes. They must to focus on in the service

Although this hotel isn't exactly central, it's a pretty short 10/15 minute walk to the city centre/major sites, and a 10 minute bus ride from the main train station. We found this hotel to be good value for money (50 euro/night in late July). The rooms are basic but clean and they will suit the needs of most young or budget travellers. Staff is friendly and helpful.

One of the reasons we chose this hotel was air conditioned rooms as per web site. On arrival at our room we had no air conditioning and were informed that only the superior rooms had air conditioning. The staff also were not able to even furnish us with a fan for our room which with five became very warm during the night.

No Air conditioning. Too hot. Had to open windows, in ground level. Too noisy. Positive: rooms are clean and nice. Walking distance from historic downtown.

Rita Major is a good option if you look for a cheap accomodation at the center of Florence. Very friedly personnel and good breakfast.

Sooo far from the station and everything else...seemed like a pensione. I think that the price inflation for these hotels is immoral for what is offered.

Staff very agreable and competent. Quite big room - little old, but clean. Missing TV on the room. Not so far from the main touristic points but long way after a long day. Very good restaurant next door and not far from parking area (important in Florence)

On the whole, this hotel was ok... The negative aspects were the receptionnist who told me on the phone that my room wasn't book for 2 nights but for 1... He certainly misunderstood me... because booking in, I was told I had my room for 2 nights. The room was also a little bit noisy (I think it was the fan from the next door room), as we were awaken on the middle of the night. Finally, the furniture and the whole room were old compared to the price we paid... but it's Florence... On the other hand, the service was very nice with us, giving us advices about places to go, how to go or where to park. The restaurant next door was also very good and we were able to walk to all places from the hotel... The last advice for travellers, if you go to Florence by car, try to reach the city before 6:00pm : on friday, we staid stuck in the traffic jam for 3 hours at the entrance of the city!

Very friendly staff, beautiful place, internet available sometimes, breakfast included, fair price. One problem was bugs would get into the rooms. Overall wonderful place.

It was the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. The photographs in Venere's Web page have nothing to do with the real situation of the rooms. Even though it was written that the rooms had TV and Air Conditioning they told us in the reception that we had to pay extra money for it...!!!

We had a very nice stay! The welcoming was great and friendly. They offerd us a parking garage. They gave us an easy overview of the nearest places of interest. We would choose them again, if we ever got back to firenze.

Rita Major is a good place to stay in my opinion because it is a)a comfortable walking distance from the centre (10-15mins) b)far quieter and out side the tourist hustle and bustle c)there's a good restaurant right next door for lazy evenings d)the rooms are big, quiet and clean The only bad thing about it was that the bathroom door was really not quite a door. It didn't lock or really shut properly. But as long as you're staying with someone you're comfortable with - who cares? Bit of a pain to get to by car, but everywhere is in Florence. There's 2 or 3 paid carparks within walking distance - which is better than other hotels further into the centre.

People who work at the hotel are very nice!!! They were the best part of the hotel. I stayed in a single room and the problem with it was that is was a very cold room and the room wasn´t very nice, but then i stayed in a double room and it was excellent.
