The location is absolutely The Best! In 2 days we walked to every major attraction. Wireless internet worked well. If they had an elevator, they would be perfect!I thought breakfast was included, but had booked room only without realizing it. Breakfast was 3 or 4 Euros and well worth it, delivered on a tray to the room at whatever time we requested.

We were very disapointed and decided to move out after 1 night. Room very small and dense air, bad smell in the room, extremely uncosy. We had to open the window wich resulted in multiple moscito bites. We were lucky to find a much better place to stay. Dont stay here!

We have been travelling throughout Italy for many years always with the same budget, and this is without any doubt the best place we have been: in the very same centre, by the Duomo (cathedral), in a quiet street; the room was nice, big and really comfortable; the heating was perfect; correct bathroom; silence and a double glass-window. The fact that breakfast is served in the room makes you start the day in a relaxed way and gives you some independence from the rest of the structure. It's really pleasant. You take your breakfast in a small table in the room placed there for that purpose, and it is really varied (croissants and bread, chocolate cream-Nutella and jam, cheese cream, cereals, juice, hot drinks...) and of quality (nothing about packaged croissants from unknown brands). Moreover, among all what they offer to you, you can choice and change as you please (only as a suggestion, it would be OK to include some ham, cheese or something like that for those who don't like a sweet breakfast!). Sara, the person who runs the Relais, is really pleasant. Far away from the forced smiles or the distant manner of other receptionists, she attends you with kindness and friendliness, and she is always very receptive to help you and make you feel good and comfortable there. We are really grateful to her and we remind her with affection. Without any doubt we will stay in the Relais Campanile when we return to Firenze.

1) Location is excellent: one block walking from the Duomo one direction and 5 minutes walk also from the Museum where Michelangelo's David Statute is. Great if you are here short time and want to be in the center of things. You can walk to almost everything you want including Michelangelo square (that is the farthest I walked)... 2)Hotel owner is very helpful. He carried my luggage upstairs (there is no elevator). He is also great at recommending the best restaurants - great value and great food. You do need someone like him to help since Florence seems to me to have a tendency to rip tourists off compared to other cities.... 3)A great Gelato place is nearby called Grom just beside the Duomo (great gelato and reasonable price) - you need to be careful of other Gelato place, they ripped me off by selling 7EURO for two scope = USD$13 almost! So, got to GROM, they are honest and great Gelato!... 4) First timer note for the city: please note that the city is small and crowded. So be prepared for crowded tourist sites located right next to each other. So you will see MANY tourists all day in the city where you are likely to go... 5) Summary: highly recommend the place. If you want something quieter, I think the owner has another property as well.

The location of the hotel is great! 10 minutes walk from the station, next to the duomo and galleria dell' academia. The rooms are ok. Staff is very nice. Wonderful for a short trip to Florence. If you are a light sleeper, take earplugs with you, it is quite noisy. Overall: 50 Euros per night for a single room, breakfast included, is fine! I would return.

There was no one there to greet us, despite arranging our planned arrival time with the staff. The air conditioning was broken, hair dryer inadequate. On arrival to our room, we found human faeces on the toilet seat. Not so good for birthday celebration!!!

Very mice place, unexpectedly big room+extra place for antechamber, just 2 mins walking from Duomo! Tea set in room was very helpful. I dont like shower system in toilet, but this s very small thing to note. I definetly recommend this place for staying to my friends. Be careful with big luggage, you have to clamber on 3rd floor, stairs r very steep.

This was the nicest bed and breakfast we stayed at during our 2 week trip throughout Europe. We were greeted warmly and given a lot of helpful advice about Florence. The hotel is just down the street from the duomo (we could see it from our window!) The only downside is that there is absolutely no night life that we could find in that area of town, its solely devoted to tourists (and also our shower did not drain very fast so you had to take very quick showers or the water would overflow onto the ground!) But overall, we had a great experience there and I would recommend it to anyone. We only stayed 1 night and we wished we could have stayed more.

Best location in Florence! We were their for only one night, so I selected Relais il Campanile based on location. It was a few blocks from Galeria Academia (same street) and 1/2 a block from il Duomo. A great place if you want to beat the crowds. Not great if you want to sleep in (noticed a lot a traffic as we were leaving at 8am). We arrived later in the evening than planned, but Manny was very welcoming and checked us in right away. Dined at "Aqua al 2". Ask for the sampler. You won't be disappointed. Note to City of Florence...Clean up the graffitti.

Although we had a great time in Florence, we had bed bug bites after our stay. We contacted the B&B and they said we must have gotten the bites from somewhere else - I don't think so.

We were there for our honeymoon. The hotel is right next to the main Duomo, and in a backstreet so you don't have the sea of people in front of your hotel door. It was great. When we read about reviews we heard a couple of negatives and when we stayed there, we saw none. There was no noise due to the double sealed windows. The room was spacious and Sara the girl at the front desk is the best part. She told us everything we needed to know. She told us where to go visit and what bars to go to and food places as well. She called to help us rent a scooter when they did not speak English. When we had a problem with the scooter place, she called and talked to them and helped us fix the problem, all while we were in Venice. Yeah Venice. We were on the next part of our trip and we saw a problem with a charge and we called her to help us and she did. She is awesome. Some people that reviewed before stated that she was their Guru, and we now know why. The hotel was great. We had no complaints. When we read the reviews about the hotel before going and saw some complaints about noise and other things. We stayed there and realized that anyone who complains about this place would complain about any hotel they stayed at, or anything they ate, or anything at all. This place was perfect for us. We had a great honeymoon. Thanks Sara.

Great location, just down the street from the Duomo. It is walking distance from the train station, about 15 minutes or about 5 minute bus ride. There is an internet cafe across the street, that was very convenient. A few blocks away was a street that had several restaurants and shops. The room and bathroom was clean, however, there is a bar just around the corner and on the weekend it can get very loud late at night. I had a room that overlooked Ricasoli. Be sure to ask for a room away from the street and away from the street near the bar. Also, there is not a lift in this place. If you're looking for an inexpensive place that is clean and reasonably priced, this is the place to stay.

This hotel is situated 100 meters from the Dumo and 200 meters from the museum where you can see the statue of David,so it is not the quietest of rooms available in Florence but if you want the atmosphere of living in a truely wonderful city I would choose this small guest house. Breakfast was served in the room, ours was next to reception but we were never disturbed by other guests checking in/out. Sarah who greeted and spoke good English was helpful and friendly. The rooms are situated on the first floor and no lift so they are for the able bodied. I would definately stay there again.

From the moment we arrived Sara was so nice and welcoming and she had the answer to any and all questions. I had a single room, which was nice and spacious with a beautiful veiw of the streets and the room also came with a queen size bed, very nice. And breakfast was served in bed, which was perfect, not a big meal but just enough to start off the day. And you could also pay with a credit card, which was nice. Overall it was a very enjoyable stay.

Our stay at this b&b was fabulous. We decided to extend our stay an additional 3 days and Sarah was very helpful and accomodating. The rooms are extremely comfortable and the air conditioning was an enormous relief in the summer heat. We will definitely return to the Relais il Campanile on our next visit to Florence, and feel that we have developed a great friendship with Sarah. We strongly recommend this as an accomodation which offers comfort and great access to explore everything Florence has to offer.

This hotel is great! The breakfast is brought to your room whatever time you want. The front reception lady was great! BUT the noise level was high. We had a room next to the reception desk and you can hear the conversations and phone ringing. The receptionist leaves from 3:30 to 5:30, so if the phone or door rings, nobody is there to answer so it continues forever. THe location is PERFECT though! Right next to the Duomo, major shopping and restaurants. I would recomend this B & B, but request a room in the back away from reception.

My stay at Relais il Campanile was great. My room was exactly how I pictured it. The location was perfect; only steps from the Duomo and a few blocks away from the Galleria Academia. The staff was wonderful. The manager gave me excellent restaurant recommendations and the porter/"Jack of all Trades" Tarcisio, was absolutely a gem. When I return to Florence, I hope to stay at the Campanile again. I will also be recommending them to friends.

A good basic accommodation. Two problems are 1) the B&B is up two levels, with the first one the equivalent of another level, and 2) the b&b lounge pictured is really an office and of no value as a lounge. It is also under new ownership. Overall a decent value.

Excellent location, two minutes away from Duomo (towards Accademia direction) but on a relatively quiet street. Safe though. The host Leonardo is friendly and helpful. We occupied the room next to the reception where we could hear the conservation between checking in/out guests and the host. Not a problem since the reception won't open until 8am and it is not irritating at all. If you want to sleep until 10ish in the morning, perhaps as the host to put you in another room. Room is clean and spacious with a small TV. Bathroom is clean with a shower space little problem for one person but perhaps a bit tight if you want to squeeze in two! Shower working very well though. Remember, this is a B&B, NOT a five star hotel offering jaccuzi bathtub! Breakfast served from 8-10.30 and host will bring it to your room. Juice, bread/crossaint, coffee/tea, quite basic but good enough. Leonardo is friendly and informative. No lifts though. You need to climb the stairs with luggage but only one floor; there is another BB two stories above! I guess you probably need to do the same in many other accommodations. Overall execellent stay and happy to stay there again.

This place is perfectly located in the heart of Florence .The room was simple but cozy, only the madress a bit hard but it was ok. We never had breakfast there cause the town is plenty of typical coffee shops and we always wake up early to enjoy the days. We were very happy with our choice ,especially cause all of the main atractions can be reached easily by walking and the staff ,very helpfull and friendly ,provide us a map and all the information needed to enjoy our stay . I strongly recommend this place if you want a quiet, simple and cheap place to stay in Florence.

The location was great. The rooms were spacious and creatively decorated. The owner, Lucia, was very nice and brings breakfast to the room every morning. The price was nice for the great location, 72 Euro a night during high season. The only problem was the small bathroom, but that wasn't terrible. I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. Even though we were a block away from the Duomo, there was no noise from the bells or the streets because of the double-paned glass. Excellent stay. Thanks.

An extraordinary location and an extrememly friendly staff. They helped us solve a very confusing parking situation. This B&B has a bit of a musty smell, but I'd return in a minute. The bathroom is REALLY small, the shower is too small, it is nothing more than a nozzle coming out of the wall and the water going into a hole on the floor, the sink slants downward, the towels are nice and pretty but after you dry your hands they are socked FOR good and you don't get a new one for 3 days!! a TV in the room would be nice. The room is nice but the bathroom ruins the whole thing.

We were welcomed at Relais il Campanile by Fabrizio Boticelli who inisted on helping us with our luggage. He gave us a quick orientation to keys and our room. The room, especially the bathroom, was spotlessly clean. There is a small wall safe in the room for passports and other valuables, an unexpected bonus. We also met Simon Boticelli and Martha, another staff person. They gave us excellent restaurant recommendations that we enjoyed and Marthe was a great help to us when she called Air France to confirm a flight change. I highly recommend this accommodation from the beginning of e-mails between the Firenze and Canada through to the taxi arranged for us on checkout. Thanks again to the Boticelli's and Martha for their friendliness and efficiency. We hope to see you again.

Location and staff was great. But the room was tiny, room entrance door touched the bed when opened. Quite unlike the pictures provided on the site. There was very little place to put things away in the bedroom itself. Absolument no shelving in the bathroom ...and the smallest shower i have ever seen. I asked for a view if possible, they told me view i would have a view of a piazza, the VIEW was of a small street directly accross my window. My room had double window which helped with the street noise, but i was in roon # 4 directly accross the door that opened to the hallway and you could literally hear people coming in and out like they were in my room, since the hallway was so narrow. There was no phone in the room, although there was a hairdryer in the bathroom. I think their website is a little misleading, and my room was overpriced.
