Very clean, nice staff and very accessible (near to everything, including trains and major attractions. Only drawback was no internet access. That is a problem overall in Italy anyway, but certainly don't expect connectivity at the hotel here. Well worth the price (80 euros).

We were given a small but spacious two-room apartment at the top of the annex building, which could easily accomodate 3-4 people. The room was quite comfortable. However, the air conditioning made too much noise and in spite of two insect repellent vaporizers, we had quite a few run-ins with mosquitoes. Also, the hotel parking is quite small, with spaces for only 4-5 cars - we were lucky to find a vacant spot when we arrived. The hotel's location is quite close (10 min walking) from the centre of Florence and there is at least one bus stop close by.

By car
From the highway A1, exit at Firenze Nord or Firenze Sud and follow the indications to Fortezza da Basso.

By train
From the Santa Maria Novella railway station, take bus line n. 13 and get off after 3 stops.

By airplane
Florence's airport is around 7 km away. Take bus line n. 62 to the railway station, then take bus line n. 13 and get off after 3 stops.
