Hotel Palazzo Vecchio - Florence

We selected a room for 4 people and found it a bit small for two adults and two teenagers. Otherwise a comfortable stay and very close to the railway station

Good hotel in a good position but I heard from others I was visiting with that the rooms at the front can be very noisy due to the busy street outside. I also had a couple of minor issues. The single bed wasn't the most comfortable and the safe in my room didn't work and took 2 days to repair after I reported it.

The single room they gave me was the smallest I have ever seen in a hotel. I could not leave the window open since outside the window there was a shared balcony with another room. The cold milk they served at breakfast was not fresh.

From the minute we arrived, we were more- than-happy with everything at this hotel. The front-desk staff was knowledgeable and accommodating. Rooms were clean and comfortable and breakfast was good. The location was wonderful - within walking distance of almost everything.

We had a wonderful stay at the Palazzo Vecchio. The staff was very accommodating. Parking is premium in Florence and even though our car was larger and difficult to park in the garage, they let us park in the courtyard...they even let us leave it there after we checked out while we enjoyed our last day sightseeing. The hotel is centrally located...it was in a wonderful position for walking to many of the places we wanted to visited. We were traveling with friends and although the rooms were in the same catagory, their rooms were quite spacious, ours was very small. But it was clean and the bed was comfortable and we found it adaquate. We would definitely stay there again.

2 blocks from train station. Easy to find with car. Excellent English speaking staff with knowledge of surrounding area. Walking distance to everything. Good breakfast. Safe parking (18 euro per night).

Good location (close to the main station and close to the city center) but extremely poor hotel, rooms are close to ugly and extremely noisy. There is Air Conditionning which is a good thing. Parking space is way too expensive as well. Would not recommend for a couple or more than 1 night.

I would stay here again, for sure.

Very pleasant stay at the hotel (first time visit). Breakfast was much more Italian than continental. Good surroundings, which made possible late evening promenades in the centre of Florence.

Near the SMN, noisy in the morning, the room for 4 persons was big enough and very clean.

Palazzo Vecchio is ideally located close to the train station and the vibrant core of Florence. It was no problem to walk with large luggage just around the corner from the train station. We had a nice room with a small balcony that looked out onto a couple of small residential buildings (nothing is built very high in Florence and elsewhere in Italy and so it was great to get away from the tall apartment buildings that loom everywhere in Toronto). The room was a little small for the four of us, but we knew that in booking it and so no disappointment there. the price was good for what we had, which was enough space to walk around the beds and not feel like we were all over each other (it's not like there was only room for the beds). The weather was gorgeous and it wasn't our intent to spend time during the day in the room anyway, so it worked out well. Lots and lots of restaurants are within easy walking distance -- like a two to three minute walk. Make sure you visit the large flea market in the core (again very easy walk from the Hotel) -- lots and lots of leather goods, jewellery, and t-shirt and hat souvenirs). Duomo is maximum a ten minute walk. We also walked to the Pont Vecchio bridge from the hotel (maybe a fifteen minute walk). All in all, a good location for us. We enjoyed our stay in Palazzo Vecchio. The rooms are big and clean. It in very near the train station and in a safe neighborhood. Since FLorence is small, it is also near the main attractions. The hotel staff is very helpful and very friendly. Breakfast, which was included in the price was good. Real value for money. Will stay again and will recommend to friends.

Realy a fine place, in the center of Florence, we suggest it to all!!

I have stayed at the Hotel Palazzo Vecchio previously and would return again. It is close to the Santa Maria Novella Stazione in Florence and within easy walking distance to the centre and all the sights of Florence. The staff are helpful and welcoming. The breakfast is a continental buffet and is sufficient. I do find the rooms to be a bit noisy but they are clean, spacious and comfortable.
