A huge room ( room no 1 )overlooking the square. Breakfast was very good. The only negative was the noise in the square from about 15 students which went on till 3am.

Bedbugs in the bedroom is not aceptable. The staff gave us a other Room, who seemt to be Bug-free. The Hotelmanager offert us a reduction of only 30euros for the first night. A really poor offer.

This is something very special. I stayed here two years ago but was welcomed back like an old friend. My rooms were like a dream come true, with a fantastic view across the square over to the Duomo, Campanile and all the other famous buildings of Florence on the other side of the Arno. The spacious public terrace has similar views and is a great place to read, have a drink or whatever you want to do to relax. It's such a nice place to be, it's tempting simply to stay there and experience the city from there, without the distraction of the tour groups trying to 'do' Florence in a day. The Campo is a great place to eat and the market makes it a real attraction for local inhabitants. I stayed in five locations on this trip, in Bologna, Siena and Venice as well as Florence and this was the one to which I would return with the greatest pleasure.

We stayed at the hotel for 5 nights. All the staff were very welcoming and friendly. They helped with restaurant & taxi bookings, train timetables and queries. Our room & bathroom were a good size with great views. A comfy chair or two would have made it a little nicer to relax in. This may have been a more basic room. Suggest taking own hairdryer - hotel one overheats quickly. Tea/drinks on the terrace with its views was lovely. Location was perfect for us as we love walking and got to most key areas within 10 to 25 minutes. Would stay there again.

I really loved staying at this hotel. As the final stop on our tour of Tuscany and Rome, it was everything I wanted it to be and more. Location is great, staff is super friendly and very accommodating. My husband and I (with 16 m/o daughter) had a huge room directly overlooking the Pitti Palace and we kept the window open (even in the cold nights of April) just so we could wake up to an unforgettable view. Public areas are tasteful and spacious with many seating areas to enjoy the ambiance. As others have written, the real gem is the roof top terrace. I could have stayed there forever, drinking wine and taking in the view. Normally, we opt for less expensive options, choosing to spend money on attractions vs. accommodations and truth be told this was a bit more than we are accustomed to paying, but it was well worth it and I’d stay here again in a heart-beat. For dinner, skip the crowds and marginally good restaurants on the piazza below and instead, roam a few blocks to Vivanda for a unique dining experience. It’s located at via San Monaca 7R.

Walked from the train station and stopped for lunch along the way. Nice walk. Great location with a lot of action. Wonderful small restaurant around the corner. It was chilly but we sat outside anyway.
