Location is perfect, room was clean and spacious but shower is narrow to fit and shower curtain is something you need to struggle. Beds are small and not comfy. Air condition is working at least.

The place was very clean and in fine condition. I like that it was near the station. A bit of noise from the street and within the place, but nothing that ear plugs couldn't resolve.

I really appreciated the variety of interesting books and guides available for consultation at the hotel. Also lots of interesting artwork on the walls. The hotel further stimulated my interest in my surroundings during the visit rather than detracting from it, as is often the case.

Safe and sufficient. A nice, no-frills family-run hotel that occupies part of one floor of a multi-story building. Located within easy walking distance of the train station and an easily-walked 1.5km of pretty much every tour office you'll need to get to. There's only 1 single room, which is right next to the check-in office so you can hear every time someone rang the buzzer to get in, and also conversations. But, it was bearable. WiFi works perfectly in that room, as did the A/C (much needed with 30+ temps). No TVs at all due to a high tax, but since I had a great WiFi connection, didn't really miss it. As a solo female traveler, it was a safe, great stay at a good rate. There's no lift so be prepared to walk a few flights of stairs.

There are a lot of mosquitos, don't sleep with the window or door open unless you have bug spray on. Other than that, it is a cheap spot that is a good location close to a grocery store and the train station.

It was only for one night and we didn't take breakfast so i can't tell about this, but the staff was very kind and helpfull even if not all of them talk english or french. The hotel is very well-placed, it was hot but we were able to do lots of round-trip between visiting the city and enjoying the air-conditioner of the room. it was a good hotel.

the nazionale is on a busy one way street, with a reasonable super market directly opposite, and bakery a few doors down. It is 300 metres from SMN railway and only about 10 minute walk to the cathedral. The room rates were very good (45 euro for a single), and my room had good ensuite facilities and was a good size. Unfortunately I had the room next to reception and there was only a thin plaster wall to keep out the sound - I heard every conversation, but the other rooms would be quieter. Also the hotel is on the second storey, but I think there is a lift (I didn't use it). The reception staff spoke good english and were helpful. The area is a little down at heel, but I thought it perfectly safe and there were a lot of tourists about. There is no shortage of restaurants but don't dine at an outdoor restaurant on nazionale - you will choke with the fumes of cars!

everything is good ... I am happy to stay there .. the rate of the room is not so expensive. The area is very good 2more things I don't like are this hotel located in the 2nd floor so if you have a lot of stuff,it won't be easy for you to carry up and the other thing is the A/C in the room is not cold even I set the temp to the lowest nway I do love to stay in this hotel

Excellent staff ! Manola was incredibly nice !!! All you have to do is ask a question and she will truly try to help ! She left us notes , booked us tickets for Galleria ( very short notice ) , checked bus schedules for us ... The rooms are small but it is what you get for the price so nothing to complain about . The hotel is very close to all the must sees in Florence . I really recommend this hotel , there is always someone in the reception (24/7) and with a smile :-) Very nice people and atmosphere . Thx

We havve been greeted by a very nice woman who speaks a fluent French. She and the rest of the staff were very kind and they are there 24H and 7/7. The breakeast is quite good and cheap (only 5 EUR). The location is great but the street might be noisy sometimes in the night. A very good place for the price we pay but don't go there if you are looking for a beautiful room, our one was very basic but clean.

Very good surroundings! I.E. Mini Supermarket across the Street. 1 Min. to Old Markethall, 2 Min to San Lorenzo or less than 5 Min. to the Trainstation. Rooms to the Street are noisy. Nice Stuff/Owner. More B&B as Hotel. No breakfast room or Wlan. Bed inside the singel room are very small! For persons over 185cm unsatisfiable!

The hotel is very very clean. The owner is great. The location it's OK (is not the best zone in firenze, but is really near to train terminal and San Lorenzo church) but is a little noisy specially early in the morning. it's a little expensive, like all the hotels in Florence. TWO PROBLEMS: the hotel has not Internet for the guests and the elevator were out of order (the hotel is at a second floor)

It was my first time in Florence and the hotel was easy to find, close to the train station. The owner of the hotel was very..very nice, jacobo is a nice man, and he gave us great recommendation for restaurants, and he was very friendly. The room is very nice and clean, specially the bathroom, it has a heated towel rack, and it looks new. The only thing is you have to climb up the stairs because the hotel is on the 2nd floor, Im glad I packed light. but overall..I love this hotel and I would love to go back when the next time I visit Florence. We miss you Jacobo!

The hotel is on the 2/3 floor, there are no lifts. On arrival our room was still occupied and they gave us a different room for one night. Our towels throughout our stay were not changed and neither were the sheets. In the wardrobe there was a spare single bed mattress - therefore we were unable to unpack and hang out clothes in the wardrobe.

The place was wonderful, one of the better hotels we stayed at in Italy. It was quiet and comfortable, with one of our favorite views from the room. The only issue we had was when we left our luggage there the day we checked out. When we came back to pick it up to catch our train, no one answered the door to let us in. It turns out a gentleman was sleeping and we finally woke him up buzzing so many times, and we barely made our train home. Other than that, I would definitely reccomend this hotel!

This is an excellent hotel. Just a bit pricy. The location is terrific, it was very clean and quiet and the bathroom was really great. Excellent shower. We were greeted by a gentleman who, despite not speaking more than a handful of English, gave us a map of the city and circled the important sites. Very helpful. Breakfast wasn't really worth waking up for; hot drink and some bread with jam. Otherwise, very good except for being a bit expensive.

the hotel manager personally attended me, for he speaks english well and we had a good comunication. the room is simple but it contains everything i need. the noise on the street is strong, but if one closes the window, it is rather quiet. the lift does not work, so if you carry a lot of baggages, it could be a bit difficult to get them up the stairs. i see this as the only disadvantage of the hotel. otherwise, i have found it to be rather cozy, private and friendly. i wonder if it is family-run, 'cos it feels like it is.

We stayed here during the holidays and they charged us way more than we expected when we got there. (Over 30Euro difference) One of the rooms had ants. There really is no public area, just a small lobby where you pick up and leave your key. The breakfast is Very basic, and the room seated only 8 people so you might have to wait. The parking structure nearby is insane expensive for those planning to drive. Good points are: near bus and metro stops, a bakery next door, and fair restaurant across the way. For the money I spent I'd try and find a better place.
