We had a fantastic stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the location was perfect. We had heavy luggage so it was nice to only have a short walk to the hotel from the train station instead of dragging our suitcases through town. I would definitely stay at this hotel again. The only negative feedback I have is that we could hear the tram every time it went by.

Hotel easy to reach by car and/or train. Close to city center, monuments, museum and pedestrian area. No car needed. Room was very clean and quiet. Air-conditioning perfect. Breakfast substantial. Staff pleasant and polite. Recommended place for your next stay.

We were very satisfied with our stay at the Hotel Londra. The hotel is modern, the rooms are clean. It is located only a few minutes away from the train station which is very helpfull. I recommend it!

Adolescents. No not really. Standard: not good coffee (in nescafé style, not true one), a bad breakfast, canned fruit, disgusting yoghurt, old bread and no croissants. The cheapest ham and cheese.Breakfast in room: 5eu/pers. Moreover, terasse on the website is always closed from 23h, impossible to come in. Staff not pleasant. To sum up, bad service in Italy in general.

We only had one brief night, but the hotel was located close to the station by walking across the Tram line & bear left at Hotel Delle Nazioni and easy to walk around the sights. Rooms had wooden floors, so this could disturb at times and the room was a bit unattractive to the eye. Breakfast wasn't included so we didn't experience the nice pictures featured for food & lounge areas.

This hotel is strategic to the central part of Florence. Additionally, it is fairly priced, given the usual cost for such a centrally-located hotel. The breakfast was outstanding, with varied and plentiful choices.

This was a 2 star hotel masquerading as a 4 star. The staff ignored me on my arrival and every aspect of the stay was disappointing. I have stayed in far better hotels with Venere which were rated with a lower star rating.

The hotel was very good on the whole, very comfortable, but the web page should alert passengers that the road is blocked for construction reasons. A map idicating the way to the hotel by car should be made very clear during this construction. However, we got a very low rate through Venere. Something else to improve is that when we asked at reception for a sightseeing tour for the day, we were not warned that Museums were closed that day, therefore buying the ticket was no use. The bus tour was very poor, never departed on time and never picked you up at the different stops on time. The red one, really lousy, recommended and ticket sold at hotel. We were not told at hotel either that we could buy a day ticket to get the tour without hopping up and down for half the price, what use if the museums were closed? so we paid the full 20 euros which is terribly expensive for the poor service offered. Good parking if you have a car and must leave it in a parking, own garage, other parkings very expensive.

It was the first and also the last time for me, staying at Hotel Londra. It seams as if the floor has been renovated 20 years ago. Very dirty carpets, torn wall papers. The room was very small and old. Tiny, old bathroom. Broken tiles. Category 2 stars and not four.

Two telephones, but no soap dish or shelf in shower? Front desk either sarcastic or bored.Have stayed in other near-the-train station hotels previously - this one's surroundings were "under construction" - muddy, uneven streeets. An apology letter awaits you in your room, after you have struggled over the terrain to get there.

There is some drainage work taking place in the street. In fact has been work in progress around this street for over a year now. Does not cause too many problems as you do not spend any time at the front of the hotel and has no impact on the courtyard area. This area of florence is not one of the best but is only minutes walk to many of the main attractions. Hotel is wonderful now has been refurbished and the courtyard is a great place to hang out. Staff are very friendly, have a wealth of knowledge and are a credit to the hotel. Florence is difficult as many of the more expensive hotels still have very old fashioned stuffy accommodation that is dated. This is a trendy modern hotel for a very reasonable price. I have stayed at this hotel each year for the last few and intend to do so for many more to come.

The rooms are huge! The bar area had an outside patio area that was quiet and relaxing. Some of the areas around the hotel were a little seedy looking. You had to walk by them to get anywhere else. Construction on the street was going on right outside the hotel and was very noisy. Front desk did not know that a very popular restaurant DOES take reservations and so we didn't have any and it took forever to get seated. Il Latino, very fun restaurant. Overall, though a nice stay, would recommend this hotel

Wonderful hotel...very close to the train station...walking distance if you don't have too many bags. Though, it is on the other side of town from all of Florence's main sights. We walked a lot that day, but again the hotel was very nice, and the food in the resteraunt was wonderful.

My wife and I had 3 days at the Londra The refurbished room was very modern, beautiful and spacious. it is very handy beside the railway station although it is in a very seedy part of town. we never felt threatened at night, just nervous with a lot of interesting characters crowding around the streets nearby. Staff were very helpful although suggested restaurants that were "American Friendly" perhaps not understanding that we wanted to eat where the locals eat. all in 9 1/2 out of 10.

Staying with my wife for 6 days, for New Year's. It was a superior room. The room, the hotel, the staff, everything was great (I'm exigent when I rate something). For those who want to know other cities in Tuscany, it's perfect, because it's close to the train and the bus station; it's also great for those who want to visit Florence itself, since it's out of the more crowded area, but even so it's close to it and safe. Well, the price I payed was expensive, if we could evalluate prices in absolute terms. What I have to say is that the hotel provides what it promises, so the money spent was well spent. Very nice breakfast for those who are used to continental ones, but they also provided eggs, bacon, sausage, I mean things for people who enjoy "heavier" breakfasts. Nice view! Very comfortable room and bathroom (with a bathtube). The façade of the hotel is too simple; it deserved something better. I liked the hotel and my wife (who didn't know the price) loved even more. All the e-mails I sent to the hotel, before arriving there, where promptly and kindly answered.

We booked and stayed in 3 different hotels through venere.com during our recent trip to Italy (Rome, Florence & Venice). We did not evaluate the other two hotels we stayed at mainly because it was only Hotel Londra who exceeded our expectation on just about every aspect of our stay. We originally booked Hotel Londra because they have a room with fitness/gym equipment. To our surprise we got much more than we asked for. We arived early around 10:00 am and they gave us a room right away. We must have looked tired. Their restaurant was reasonable with great food and service. It even comes with complimentary champagne, mini hors d'ouvre and a basket of different kinds of bread. If you buy a drink on their bar, it comes with several different kinds of hor d'ouvres buffet style and up to you to choose. Their breakfast that comes with the room rate was also great. It included hot food items. The hotel location is close to the train station and yet the street where the hotel is located was quiet. The room we got was modern, spacious, comfortable, have everything we need and very clean. Housekeeping even fixed our bed twice a day. We previously only received this kind of treatment on high end resort hotels that cost 3 times or more than Hotel Londra. All in all, Hotel Londra made our stay in Florence really great.

I enjoyed my stay the only thing that upset me was that i didn't expect a double superior room to have two single beds pushed together ..... and the fact that we didn't speak italian was a problem even the staff at reception when i asked if anyone spoke english thay asked me why i didn't speak italian in quite a rude manner .... little dissapointing

Fantastic hotel, close to station. we booked double superior rooms, situated at the back of the hotel. these were very spacious, and quiet. the photo of the front of the hotel, on the website, doesn't do the hotel justice. we would definitely stay at the Londra again.well worth the price. one member of staff, on the front desk, was a bit off with our friends. they had left their passports in the villa we were staying in, in garfagnana. they forgot thet would need them, for id. we didn't see this as a problem, as they both had thier driving licences with them.

I have blindly made reservations on-line before for hotels in Florence. They had all turned out to be very disappointing. The Londra was a wonderful find! The personnel were professional and helpful, and the hotel for the price was exceptional. I will definitely stay at the Londra the next time I am in Florence.
