Staff is nice and helpful. It wasn't hard to find the place, located quite close to train station. Even though they don't speak English, but feel warm welcome. We definitely go back, if we ever there again. Hotel doesn't have elevator.

My wife and I stayed at the Lombardia for 3 nights. The hotel very disappointing. Would not recommend anyone to use it. Bathroom was small and dingy with fittings broken and hanging off walls. Toilet was actually inside the shower curtain/area!! Bedroom dark and grubby with faulty main light. Breakfast was a disaster - only offered reheated coffee and a croissant by a dour and unhelpful waitress. Asked her was there any fruit, yogurt, cheese, meat, eggs, bread - got the answer no, no, no, no, no, no each time. All other hotels I've stayed at in Italy offer at least a simple cold buffet. I know central Florence is expensive but this hotel does not represent value for money. It has no lift and all the bedrooms are at least 3 floors up. Avoid or it will ruin your stay in Florence.

How to reach Hotel Lombardia

By car
Via A1 highway exit at Firenze Nord if you are coming from North, or take the Firenze Sud exit, if you are coming from South. Follow the indications for the centre, then for Santa Maria Novella train station. Turn right in Piazza Adua. Take via Fiume, the first street on your right. Proceed on Largo Fratelli Alinari, take Piazza della Stazione and finally via Panzani.
