We had a one night stay. Although tecnichally close to the station (our bedroomed overlooked the platforms) it is about 500 metre from the station entrance.service was eexcellent as was the breakfast buffet. We did not take them up on their 20 Euro dinner menu but having tried to find a reasonable place in Florence perhaps we should have done.

Wouldn't want to walk too much in the area late in the evening - a bit out of the heart of the city but very walkable from the train station and the main tourist area. Our room backed onto the train tracks which caused us concern until we realized the windows were quite sound proof. Our family room was a great size. The 'extra' beds were cots and apparently marginally comfortable. The main bed was great. Breakfast in the morning was quite adequate however the juice was a bit watery. The pastries were good. Obviously a student group facility. There were at least 2 large groups of older teenagers in the hotel with us but they were very respectful and did not cause us any concern with noise.

It's a modern hotel, situated back of the train station. Provided wi-fi, Internet and a good quality of newspapers. Good breakfast. It's a good place to be if you should take an early train in the morning. The surroundings are quite but far from the monuments of the city. Sometimes you hear the noise of the trains going to the station

The hotel is a short walk from the Santa Maria Novella train station. The lobby was quite large and the staff was very friendly and helpful, speaking very good English. The rooms are quite adequate in size and the bathroom was extremely nice with a huge shower with good, steady water temperature and pressure. The only let-down with our room was the bed. It was quite large, however, it was without a doubt the hardest bed that my wife and I had ever slept on. My wife compared it to sleeping on a book! We requested extra pillows from the staff at the check-in desk in order to lay on them and soften the matress a bit and the staff was very quick in delivering them to our door. Television was the best of the three hotels we stayed in on our Italian holiday with a great channel selection with CNN and Eurosport in English. Breakfast was excellent and was of the buffet type and all of the food tasted fantastic. I would recommend this hotel to anyone except someone with a bad back because of the extreme hardness of the matresses.

This was a very good hotel overall. The room was very large, clean and the facilities were excellent. This is a good hotel, but it is a bit of a walk from the historic centre. Also, one of the crossings did not have a light for pedestrians, so you had to wait for a break in traffic and then make a run for it.

We will still come back someday, the hotel was a good location. The only setback was the headboard of our bed has never been dusted for the last 4days since we arrived and you can see the dust on the headboard. Overall, our stay was a pleasant one, the staff of the hotel were very accomodating.

First time in Florence for a 2day-stay (birthday and art interested), single room is small, but what more do you need really? Room had little balcony, but in winter useless. I arrived at 12a.m. but entrance to the room was strictly at 13. 5min in highheel boots to the mainstation, very central and not crowdy area of tourists. Hotel wants to be well designed but has got little faults what's the reason for the 3stars only. Design ok, but function doesn't work like well-designed shower. Service was italien style unfriendly and didn't had any communication between the morning and afternoon crew to tell me if it had been checked. There's one thing I don't like: Standing in a frozen bathroom (heating just in bedroom) with shampoo in my hair and cannot have a shower because it's floating the bathroom. Room was clean but other design-things like pond for fishes and open ceeling for breakfastroom was filled with lovely fishes and a bunch of smoked cigarettes. breakfast was dry. Haven't found the sauna, was dirty in the basement. For that price it was ok, but no highlight.

We stayed at Leonardo da Vinci for three nights. Most of the front desk personal was very nice throughout our stay at the hotel. The room was very clean and the temperature was ok. The restaurant was very nice and so was the bar area. The bartender Antonio was also very nice and he even told us of a great Gelato shop were most locals visit. The breakfast was ok mostly bread, ham, cheese, and cereal. Now from our first evening there it seemed that the walls were made of very thin paper because we could hear everything from our next-door neighbors. We asked the front desk if we could be moved to another room and a young lady said that there were no rooms but it appeared to us she did not even check. We could also hear the doors being slammed shut at all hours of the night and early morning. Our view was also nothing to exciting we had a view of the parking lot and of the cleaning area behind the restaurant.I booked the hotel because I thought that a 3 star hotel would be ok but I would not stay here again.

The hotel room is spacious, modern and clean but the bathroom shower is very small and tight, which we expected. The staff is extremely friendly. The hotel is a 5 minute walk from the Santa Maria Novella train station. We pretty muched walked to all the sights. The breakfast was mostly pastries and very little hot food however. The bartender at the restaurant downstairs was wonderful and gave very helpful hints on touring Florence. The hotel needs to buy him a blender and a boston shaker so he can make better drinks! Overall it was a very good hotel.

No wi fi in rooms, but available in the lobby for free. feels like a big fancy hotel without the fanciness. the bathroom was fabulous!! Dinner and breakfast in the restaurant was average. super close to the train station. Apparently this hotel hosts many group functions- there was a large group of teenagers staying there. i requested a room away from the group and we had a nice, mostly quiet room.

We stayed for three very enjoyable nights at this hotel. Excellent location - easy 15 min walk to Ponte Vecchio and Duomo. The hotel staff were friendly, assisting us with tourist maps which they provided and were english speaking. One night we went to the hotel bar - lovely complimentary bar snacks and helpful bar tender (thanks Antonio!). Internet is provided for 1 Euro per 15 mins. The hotel decor is modern and sleek ... the rooms are spacious and very comfortable. We paid 15 Euro a day for car parking - worth the price as it is a secure private lot directly behind the hotel with an access door to the reception area. We will be recommending this to our friends and family and hope to return ourselves one day!

This hotel is clearly for groups. As two female travellers, we did not really appreciate sharing the restaurent with a large group of yelling teenagers on some kind of school trip. Then our second & third nights we shared it with a large group of teenage girls - a dance troupe. We could hear the kids running through the hallways late into the night, along with the accompanying door slamming. Also, our room was right beside the train line so we heard every train passing by and every whistle tooted. And one more thing - the restaurent is not open on Sunday night. But noone had told us. We had been out all day sight seeing, got home late and decided to take the easy option and have dinner in the hotel restaurent - not opened!! On a positive note - when we were able to visit the hotel restaurent its fantastic! Service is wonderful! And the food / menu is amazing! Thank you!

This hotel is a nice and modern place to stay very close to the termini and only about a ten minute walk to the center of the city. Rooms were clean, the common areas were nice and the breakfast good and fresh. The hotel offers internet access and I believe free wifi. They have a restaurant and bar on site. It was a bit noisy in the room and we could hear our neighbors but I found this to be the case in other hotels as well. Not a real issue as I am not that light a sleeper. Overall I would recommend it and would consider staying here again.

Great value stay. Staff very friendly and most helpful.Had to come back in the early hours on the 27th as flight cancelled, all staff went out of their way to assist. Hotel close to town centre and within walking distance, but far enough away not to be disturbed by city centre noise. Felt totally safe when walking too and from town . The Hotel was a very pleasant experience. At check-in the manager on duty was very cordial and gave us a map of Florence and summarized the highlights of the city. The room was smaller than we envisioned, but clean and functional. The housekeeping person was very helpful in assisting us with the room temperature. The hotel is on a high traffic street, which diminished our stay somewhat, but not to the point where we would definately return a stay here again.

The beds were super hard and uncomfortable. the breakfast was sparce, the same old ham and cheese, not up to par for a place you pay >160 euro for. they also charge you for parking stating that they rent a lot but the lot is really the hotel's parking lot so i thought that was bogus also. and the location was on a very busy street/ noisey. It took 10-15 mins to walk to anything interesting. I wouldn't suggest staying at this hotel, stay closer to the river, our friends found a hotel on the Arno for less than we paid at this hotel.

The hotel is very modern and pleasant. The front desk staff were wonderful, especially Eliza. She helped us with any questions we approached her with. The train station is about a 15 minute walk from this property. The city itself is pretty small and you can see the main attracions by foot, if you don't mind the walk. The breakfast was average. Although there was a good selection of items to choose from, it was the same every day. Overall we had a good exerience.

Florence is a big city and we got lost on the way in. We rang the Hotel and they give us great directions straight to the Hotel. The Hotel is very modern but not in the nicest of areas. There was perking, but cost 14 euruos a day! The breakfast was good but the usual cold buffet but there was plenty to eat. The Hotel is differnet, but in a very good way. Very modern, open and airy. The rooms were very big and came with a free to use safe . There was a mini bar which was priced the same as the bar. About 15 minutes away, around some very wide roads, was the main part of Florence. Would go back again if staying in Florence.

It was our first time in Florence and at this hotel. The hotel is within walking distance to museums, major attractions and the train station. The rooms are comfortable for two people to move around and very clean. A cordial, helpful front desk staff made our stay very pleasant. The breakfast which is included was good and offered variety. We could hear the trains pulling out of town/train station from behind the hotel but it wasn't loud enough to disturb us. I would stay at this hotel again.

This hotel seemed like it was once a very nice place but was really run down. It needed to be painted in all the common areas and our room as well. The elevator also didn't seem to work consistently and there was a railing going down the stairs near the internet area that was literally coming our of the wall. The breakfast that was included was nothing to talk about and there wasn't any way to find out how much things in the mini bar were. This could be a very nice place to stay but needs some TLC. PS. The train noise was a bit bothersome but not that bad!

The problem is the noise as the double insulation of the windows is insufficient. if u choose the rooms at the back u have the noise from the train station which is quite busy all day long and only stops for a few hours after midnight. whilst if one choose a room at the front its even worse as lot of traffic passes tru this road 24/7. otherwise breakfast was good and service was very good throughout our visit.

No regresaria.

Don't worry about the look of the location, when you reach the hotel it is worth it.A very modern style hotel, our quad room was very clean and spacious with air conditioning. There is a bar and lovely breakfast room.Plenty to eat from cereals, yohurts, pastries jams, bread, cheese, ham etc.The staff are friendly. We were able to walk to all the main sites from here. There is also internet access which was handy for us but you must pay to use it. Overall a pleasant stay at this hotel and would recommend it to my friends in Australia. Elizabeth Basile

Very nice hotel, with all comforts, modern decoration but in very good taste. Staff friendly and helpful The hotel is a longer walk to the center of Florence than most hotels but it is walkable. Breakfast could be better: for example, fresh fruit instead of canned, better bread.

Location is not far from the old town where all the sights are though it's in a busy yet quiet road. Modern design and management and very good reservation services for museums. My son used the internet for 2 hours and they charged us only 2 Euros, less than they could charge.

This hotel is a 20 minute walk from everything that you need to see in Florence. It is right next to the station but even though the trains run all night you do not really hear them. The rooms are meant to be soundproofed but we could hear the people in the next room having a pee! The decor is strangely stuck in 80's minimilism, with lilac walls and red curtains and white leather sofas in the reception area (which 9 year old son declared 'cool'!) However the breakfast isn't minimalilst as there is plenty to choose from. We booked a family room and the children had very adequate sofa beds in the same room, which was more than large enough to accommodate them.

We were based there for two nights whilst we attended a friend's wedding in Tuscany. We found all amenities excellent within walking distance of all the main attractions in Florence. Just a short walk to the train station and overall provided us with exactly what we needed. Two satisfied Irish visitors.

The receptionists were really helpful, nice and friendly, they gave us a lot of useful information without our asking (even the cleaning ladies said hello every morning!), the hotel is stylish, modern and tasteful, I had a most delicious steak in the restaurant, and everybody was there to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. It was like a safe island in Italy for us, as Italian people are usually not very polite or kind.

This was our first time in Florence and we were really surprised by the quality and location of the hotel. The hotel is very modern and contemporary. The rooms were luxurious, clean, comfortable, and quiet. The staff were very kind and welcoming. The staff allowed us to check in early and gave us a map of Florence and pointed out main attractions. The hotel is very close to the train station and easy to get to. The hotel was a great value for the price. Our expectations were definitely exceeded!

The hotel is furnished and decorated in a modern style. The room and bathroom are spacious, free wifi service is available at the lobby which is a very good. Price is so attractive when comparing to the quality of service they provided, we will definitely recommend others to stay at this hotel. Only one small comment, the insecticide smell is a bit too strong in the room, but overall it is really a worth-to-stay hotel.

The location was bad.15 minutes walk to center but very close to central station, nothing around the hotel.Noise from railways until late hours. Staff is OK very helpful and friendly. Breakfast room is at below ground level and they don't have enough people to clean and prepare for the next clients,so the tables stay dirty for long time. Receptionist was very helpful for dinner recoomendations. Ground level rooms are OK,upper level rooms needs some renovation and painting. Overall not bad for short term stay.

The rooms are exactly as shown in the pictures. At my arrival I clearly asked for a quiet room and so I was assigned the room nr.123 which is exactly on the railways of Florence Central Station. The passing by of the trains was almost continuous, except from 23:59 until 5:10. It was impossible to sleep. My impression was that they intentionally assigned me the room nr.123 because I booked through Venere.

The hotel offers large rooms, beautiful bathrooms and is designed very nicely and special. But - like in whole Italy it has becoming trend - the room price is esagerated high. The breakfast is not as good as what you exspect for this price (p.ex. no eggs, terrible coffee, bad bread). But overall seen - if you cannot find a bed in a nice B&B as p.ex. Johanna or Johlea - it was the best hotel in which I stayed during my many trips to Firenze.

Fantastic hotel close to the railway station. So if you use the train services, it is good place although the area around is not spectacular. Two good indian restaurant close to the hotel, the Fortezza de Basso a large conference venue is just 3 minutes walk if you need it. Good breakfast and bar facility, provides internet facility if you need. Overall I will not hesitate to come back if needed.

Hotel has lived up to what's advertised. Receptionists were helpful and courteous. Clean and spacious room. Enjoyed the shower area, especially after a long day. Only down side was the street noise - its expected since its close to the train station. I would think air conditioning will be offered if the hotel rated itself a 3 star. I was told by the receptionist air conditioning will not be available till summer - so we have to deal with the road noise. Breakfast offered was far better than the hotels in Rome. Walking to the hotel was a bit further away (its about a good 15 minute walk)but the hotel has a welcoming atmosphere that makes it worthwhile. Great direction from this site- be sure to print a copy with you.

We went there to explore the Tuscany during the Off-season (March), as the Tuscany is not that overcrowded at that time. The hotel is quite central in Florence and it is furnitured very modern. During the Off-season there are lots of groups of pupils that make enormous noise the whole nights. Party and music, running and jumping through the stairway, screaming, shouting, slamming the doors. We are not sensitive (the main station next door didn't bother us) but we couldn't sleep the whole week we stayed there! The friendly staff was helpless and wasn't able to put things right. They were at the end of their rope themselves because of all these groups that stay there during these months. And don't dare to go for breakfast after these groups have been there. The buffet is empty then, won't always be refilled and the room is not very clean at that times. During the off-season it can be quite cold in the Tuscany. Unfortunately the heating is turned on centrally and only for a few hours per day. So it can be very cold and also wet in the rooms. The management is not willing to turn on the heating longer.....

This hotel is very convenient to the train station but is in the opposite direction from all the major attractions. This is only a minor inconvenience--adding 10 minutes to the walk. There was a large group of young people there while I was but I didn't experience any noise from them or anyone else. My room was near the elevator so that was a bit of a bummer. TV had 2 channels of English language and bathroom was very modern and attractive. Staff was friendly and efficient. Good value for the price.

Bellissimo! Colazione ottima e staff sempre gentilissimo. In totale direi 10+ come voto!! Elena e Enrico

The reception of the hotel was just as in the photo, but the rooms on the upper floors were a different story. The room was small and needed a complete update. the balcony backed on to the railway line, although we did not mind this as it was a short walk to the station. Our major concern was that the room smelt like the sewage system, particularly the bathroom. I would reccommend this hotel for convenience but do not book the cheapest room in the hotel. there is a reason why it is so cheap.

WE STAYED IN THE "RED ROOM" OF THE HOTEL FOR MORE QUITNESS. IT WAS EXCELLENT. VERY SPACIOUS ROOM, VERY HOT. PEOPLE WERE VERY POLITE AND AFTER WHAT WE HAVE SUFFERED IN THE JOLLY DA VINCI IN ROME WHERE THEY THROUGH US AWAY AT TEN A.M. FROM THE ROOM, IT WAS A PARADISE!! VERY CLOSE TO ANY MONUMENT IN FLORENCE VERY CLOSE TO SHOPPING AREAS. CERTAINLY I WILL RETURN IN THE FUTURE AND CERTAINLY I WILL TALK ABOUT IT TO MY FRIENDS. THE CONTRARY WILL HAPPEN FOR JOLLY DA VINCI. I WILL DO EVERYTHING I CAN TO INFORM EVERYBODY ABOUT THE PEOPLE WORKING THERE.
