Hotel La Noce - Florence
Borgo La Noce 8 - Florence
877-662-6988The hotel is just steps away from several of the city's most important historic and artistic sites including the Duomo, the Accademia Gallery (featuring Michelangelo's David), the San Lorenzo Basilica (Florence's oldest church) and the Medici Chapels (featuring impressive works by Michelangelo).
The San Lorenzo area is also host to the famous San Lorenzo Market, one of the city's most colourful and characteristic attractions.

The problem with the hotel is the lack of customer care by the management. After 3 days, we were TOLD to change room the following morning without any explanations; we complained... and packed. Next day we were told that the room change would take place the following day. We complained, asked to see the management and unpacked. Next day, no manager, and had to pack again for the one night we had left. Next morning, we noticed that the people who had taken our room were also leaving!!! So if you go there be prepared to dance to the management whims and practice your packing and unpacking before.

In the hotel reservation list not written thet bashroom is outside of the room!!!The manager even didn't make discount for that room. he thihnk that it is the same as another 2 rooms we have booked

Central and convenient, we found La Noce to be the right choice for our needs. The room was spacious, and we were not misled regarding the services offered. Where the experience fell short of our epxectations, however, was with respect to the 'little things' which we had become accustomed to: there was no television in the room, nor was there a hairdryer. The hotwater supply was unpredictable, depending on the time of day, and there was much inconsistency amongst the front desk staffers -some where quite welcoming and friendly while others completely ignored us. Our window view was also quite dismal, revealing a fairly squalid inner courtyard with rotting shutters and dying plants.

La Noce is rated as a 3 star hotel which it is not! It looks like a seedy motel and the surrounding neighborhood appears menacing. The shower is much too small and the floor gets wet everytime you shower. They advertise breakfast as being served in your room which is a misrepresentation. Hotel needs a major overhaul of physical structure.Blankets had old stains on them and smelled moldy. However, staff was much more helpful and friendlier than in Rome.Hotel is close to a major flea market and within walking distance of major attractions.

We stayed in a standard double room, but it also had a single bed in it too. It was a decent sized room. The bathroom was small and water got everywhere from the shower. The people we met were fine. We didn't meet many.

Hotel and room was very small. My "private" bath was a sink in the room and a shower and toilet down the hall shared with the front desk staff. Room also did not have Air conditioning as specified.

This hotel is very well placed but bad enough in the services that it offers you. The first thing is that the elevator does not come up to the ground floor, with which you have to raise the first floor with the suitcases. The rooms are very small, and very inconvinient, the bathroom is the smaller thing that I have seen and the shower is a faucet in half of the wall with a curtain, which means that when you have a shower the bathroom it looks like a swimming pool.

You need a detailed map in order to find the place, however it is easy to go directly to the Airport in Florence from this Hotel. Easy access to city centre by bus close by the hotel. The room was good and clean. Nice fan in the roof gave good air during the night. Even though the shower and WC was in the hallway, it was realy no problem. It was very clean all the time. Warm and welcomming personel.

Very nice room in a safe and quaint area of Florence. The staff was very accomodating and our only complaint was we were directly across from the breakfast nook and heard the preparations early every morning and the shower didn't have a divider so the bathroom could flood easily.

The room is cold, the breakfast is small, they even do not provide coffe, the worst thing is that they limit the use of electricity. If you plug in water heater in the electricity outlet, the light will go out.

I have only one big complaint since before checking in, I was informed by the hotel incharge via mail that airconditioning facility is available but when we actually checked into the room, there was no A/c. Except this, rest is all fine. The good thing about the hotel is, its situated right at the center from where all the places to visit are accessable by foot.

We were in Florence in mid-June & the temp was 90's. A/C was controlled by managemen, turned on in late afternoon, and not working well. We were so uncomfortable! We showered over the toilet and the flooring became slippery and very dangerous. Will not go back!

First of all thank you very much for a nice welcome of one of the owner Mr Pauletti which is together with the other staff,is more than compentent, and a very nice person(nality) too!! let me explain; we actually had a better room than we expected and a very good service like if we have been guests of the house! We both liked the staying very much and facilities, the BB is very close to all the sight seeing of Florence and we was happy with the location. The only minor thing is that there was a little noise from the front of the plaza in the evening, which fortunately took of later. otherwise this BB deserves 4 and a half star! Multo grazie

This Hotel is very centrally located and is in an ideal place for visiting the usual tourist sites, which are all are within easy walking distance. It is situated on the edge of a square, so several sidewalk cafés are close by. The rooms are air conditioned and clean, although refurbishment is overdue. Some noise and cooking smells come from the local restaurants, but when the Air Conditioning is on and the windows shut this is not a problem. It is 2 star, so you get what you pay for. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel for a 3 to 4 day stopover. Beware when paying by credit card as 5% surcharge is levied

The hotel was in a convenient location. however, the rooms needed to be painted and the bathroom was extremely small. the shower was not a stall so each time the shower was used the floor got soaked. the first morning we were asked to change rooms to accomadate other guests. this hotel would not be my first choice if i were to return to florence.

The Hotel Noce was a nice play to stay ideally located in old centre of Florence. Easy walkable from the main train/airport bus station. Located among approx ten restaurants in the old local market of S Lorenzo. All highlights of Florence easy reachable by fott from the hotel. The receptionist was very serviceminded and helpful. Easy to recommend and the price was not too bad for a hotel room in centre of Florence. (Saving large amounts of a Florence vacation is most easy done by flying into Italy by Pisa or Bologna taking the train into Florence (approx 8-10 Euro).

The location was very good. Not far from the train station. On the corner of Mercado Centrale, good cafes, 1 block from Medicii Chappelle & leather market. Not for the faint of heart. Located on 2nd floor. Very clean, but not elegant. Easy walk to all of Historic district.
