4 stars hotel provided 3 stars of hotel services and faclities! The staffs of the front desk are not nice at all!!!! The swimming pool is too too small ! Actually, this is not a only a big bath tub!! The room and the shower room is so small! Especially, the shower room, I can't close the door (I am only1.53m high and 50kg weight)! But the staff of the restaurant are very nice and helpful. I will never go to this hotel anymore!

The difference between standard and superior is very significant (size, decoration) and not so well documented on Venere. We stayed in a standard, thus small and very simply decorated room (401). Fortunately I had called ahead to ask for a high floor, and we had a room with balcony. A door communicating with the next door made the stay very noisy (no luck with the neighbors, a noisy family). The roof top with swimming pool and restaurant was very enjoyable, nicely decorated and great view. The personel was amiable. The down point: the restauration : breakfast was very medium quality (borth choice and quality of products), the restaurant menu too basic. No ice machine, they should have one.

Good hotel, competent service, great breakfast with the best capuccino in town and lovely waiters to serve. Don't have dinner at hotel as it is pretentious and overpriced. There are lovely Trattoria type places nearby (Via Della Scala) where food is MUCH cheaper and tastier. Walls in hotel seem to be quite thin so some noises can be intrusive, especially at night. Lovely walk along the Arno towards Punto Vecchio, very pleasant in the sunshine. Close enough to town centre and bus station but take comfortable shoes, heels can be tiring. Recommend to pre-book museums if you can, saves no end of waiting. All in all, most enjoyable stay.

The Kraft was a smart, clean and professionally run hotel. Had it been in season, I would have looked forward to using the rooftop pool too.

We had three beds in a single room, the third being foldaway! I had to wipe squashed misquitos from the wall and there was loads of dust under the beds.Breakfast was great if you liked cheese and cakes. But the staff were very nice.

This is a nice hotel far enough from the tourist areas to be quiet but only a short pleasant 10 min revieside walk away. having they pool on the roof is super as it often gets very hot. The roof restaurant has great views, super food, great service and is also cheap. all in all a great pace to stay

Great stay. A little off the beaten path but quiet location is a big plus. Staff was great; triple was very well-sized, with totally renovated bathroom. All in all, would stay here again.

Rather pricy for the area, but price hyped up due to ongoing fair. Bed size sufficient for 1 person but small for 2. Lovely roof terrace, sad it was January. Walking distance to most 10-15min. Taxi service very good, arriving fast. Friendly staff with a bit of humour. They all spoke good english

We were very pleased with our accomodations at the Kraft Hotel. Staff were very gracious and friendly, our room very pleasant, clean, and quiet. Everything done very well, including breakfast. No complaints whatsoever. A bit removed from the hustle of the city, but close enough to get to the sights with ease.

We stayed at Kraft for four nights after having stayed at a somewhat lesser hotel in Rome. The quality differential was apparent to us immediately. The staff was courteous and helpful and very accomodating. They were also able to help in arranging for transportation for us by train to a more obscure location in Tuscany. The beds and showers were much better than they were in Rome, and we had internet access in our room through the TV (although the interface left a little bit to be desired). The facilities were also great. We were particularly happy with the pool on the roof which was very welcome in the late afternoons after we returned from sight-seeing (we found Florence to be very, very hot in mid June). The roof also had great views of the city, as the hotel is just one short block to the river, and maybe a 15 minute walk to the Uffizi. The overall location of the hotel was perfect - away from busy intersections, yet within walking distance of all of the major sights in the city. Our one criticism of the hotel was the restaurant, where we found the food to be not so good. However, the bar was nice and offered decent snacks during the day and evening. The complimentary breakfast offered by the hotel was also of higher quality than we might have expected. We would definitely recommend Kraft to friends and colleagues looking for a nice place to stay in Florence.

This is a european hotel in the classic style and tradition. As such, it is a bit understated, but the rooms are large, the staff attentive, and the public spaces very nicely and comfortably appointed. It is located in a quiet part of town, more residential and a significant walk to the sights. It also shares a campus with the U.S. Consulate, which means there are guys with Uzzi machine guns prowling the neighborhood. Needless to say, we felt the safest here of any place we stayed during our trip. If you do book, be sure to make a note to visit the rooftop patio. The views are out-of-this world! They front desk didn't remind us that it was there, and none of the guests I talked to were even aware of it, and it was the best part of our stay. My only complaint had to do with the street noise. With the wondows open, the car traffic on the back side of the hotel was very disruptive. We were there in April, so it wasn't hot and we didn't need the A/C on, so we opened the windows for the fresh air. We paid a high price, in terms of lost sleep, for this decision.

I enjoyed staying at this hotel and would recomend it to anyone. The location is not far from the center of town. (maybe a 20 minute walk along the river) The room was spacious, clean and tub was great for soaking up after a long day of walking around the city. The front desk was very helpful about getting tickets for the museum and giving directions. Good choice.

The pool is VERY small. Location was walking distance to all the main sites in Santa Maria Novella area. Although there are many other hotels that are even closer to everything. The hotel was fine, but I would try a different hotel the next time.

Kraft is a wonderful hotel. We were in a triple with our teenage daughter and the first night we were in a room on the ground floor and the traffic was extremely loud starting early in the morning. The hotel staff was very accommodating when we requested a room change to the 5th floor which was a great room and very quiet. The breakfast was wonderful.. great food and wonderful serve. The location was a bit far from Republicca Piazza, but walkable. I would definitely stay in this hotel again and would recommend it to friends and family.

Our room was on a corner, with a very busy street on the one side. Commuter noise was an issue for us, but rooms not on the busy street are available. Otherwise hotel is fabulous, and we would stay there again anytime. Hotel is a very easy walk from the train station.

We loved this hotel because of its wonderful roof-top facilities. Having a pool, however small, was greatly appreciated as Florence sizzles in the summer. Breakfast was also lovely on the roof-top terrace. The room was very spacious and not very noisy--a pleasant surprise in Vespa-laden Florence. We would recommend this hotel without qualification.

THE kraft is looking old and tired. Renovation work is being carried out, but my bathroom was cold and way past its sell by date(rusty taps, marked bath and rotting window)We enjoyed the bar sevice. Front desk was OK apart from reccomending a really awful restaraunt(was a "pub" when we got there!) And on leaving we needed a taxi for 6.15am. Kraft staff insisted no taxi started until 6.30am so we were very late for the flight. Good points...its in Florence so nothing really matters!

The best feature of this hotel is its rooftop restaurant and bar. For dinner, though, the restaurant is quite expensive as are the drinks. Our room (a triple) was disappointingly small although it did have a tiny balcony. Reception staff, while competent, tend to be slightly condescending in their manner.
