The hotel is really well located in Florence. The staff was very kind and helpful, and the room was very clean. The bathroom was super-clean; it had a with a good shower. We had no problems with the hot water. The breakfast was also good, no bad surprises. It's located on a very short street (just one block), so it might not appear in the maps that they give you at the tourist information desks. I recommend that you get directions and plan how to get there before arriving to Florence. The decoration is not modern, but that's a matter of taste... I recommend this hotel very much.

We stayed in one of the small rooms, a double crowded one. There were larger ones available, I think. It was fine, though. As much as you need. The reception desk and continuous phone conversations were noisy, but quiet at night. The location was perfect! It's on a quiet little street just around the corner from some of the best food and major attractions in Florence! Via di Neri is one of our favorite streets with amazing food shops, little trattorias, and wine bars. The hotel is very near the Uffizi, the Duomo, Sante Croce, etc.

The location is close to many of the sites we wanted to see. It is on a side street very near Uffizi. The room was small, clean, and cheaply furnished. The temp was a little warm when we arrived. After carrying our luggage through the streets of Florence from the train station and then up the two flights of stairs, we opened the window for a breeze. There was no screen, so we had mosquito guests for the rest of our three night stay. The bed was not uncomfortable. The shower was tiny, literally 2 ft by 2 ft. My husband dropped the soap and had to open the shower door to be able to pick it up. The breakfast was decent but didn't start until a little late (8AM if I remember correctly) so we were unable to use it the morning we had an earlier tour departure. Offerings included cereal, croissants, pastries, meat and cheese, juice/coffee/milk. Overall, I would probably not stay here again. The location is great and there is something to be said for that. My husband and I are not high maintenance by any standard, and this facility was barely adequate for us. We briefly considered trying to find a different hotel but it wasn't worth the hassle. We weren't in our room much, so it didn't matter quite as much. For travelers who want any degree of luxury or convenience (other than location) this is not the place to stay.

I can't expect any more thank this hotel in Florence! The hotel locats right close to Uffizi. Vecchio bridge is alos close. The place is little difficult to find but it is very quiet and comfortable. The staffs are very helpful and friendly. The only one thing I complain was the room was very cold at night. I stayed the hotel late October and the night, it rained. It was very cold but the staff told me they can't use heater yet in the October. They suggested me to use extra blanket which I did the night before. Even two blankets were not enough for the night.

Location is very good, 2 mnts walk from the 2 main squares in florence, and 5 mnts walk from the Doumo. We took the train from Rome to Florence and walked to the hotel from the station, a 15 mnts pleasant stroll. The staff are friendly and professional. We suffered from musquitos in the hotel yard, but kept our room small window closed all the time so no issues inside. Breakfast is not lavish, but the cuppoccino is very good.

Excellent location. We arrived just in time for a gallery opening event around the corner. Everything you need was around the corner! Close to Uffizi Gallery and Ponte Vecchio. Next time we would travel more lightly- It's all stairs to the rooms(no elevators)but I think it's like this in Florence. The front desk was extremely helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

Excellent location for a visit to Florence. Around the corner from Piazza Signoria, Uffizi Gallery. Nearby restaurants. A short walk to Ponte Vecchio one way and the Duomo the other way. Pleasant, clean room facing an interior courtyard. Unfortunately, all the plumbing pipes ran through that courtyard, so every flush in the building was audible. Very pleasant staff and a good European breakfast. Wifi hotspot worked very well.

Just returned from another good stay at Hotel Fiorino. Hotel is in a good central location and close to bus stops. Rooms and bathrooms are basic and clean. There is no lift and there are some steps to get to the main lobby. Typical European/Italian breakfast is adequate and good made to order cafe macchiato. Staff is very friendly, speaks English when they couldn't understand my broken Italian (or I couldn't understand them). They are always smiling and are very helpful in all ways. Note that if you get room facing the street, you may encounter some noise from street sweeper and from the some of the street vendors pulling their carts out (they must store them near by) in the morning. We have stayed at this hotel 4 or 5 times now and will continue to return when we go to Florence due to good location, friendly staff, and good price to quality.

This was a small hotel and staff were very friendly and helpful. There were quite a few stairs to climb, but once our luggage was in that was not a problem. The room was clean and quite spacious. Our only complaint was that the bathroom did not have a shower curtain. The breakfast area was also clean and very organized. The continental breakfast was plentiful and fresh although it did not present very much variety. Breakfast staff were also friendly and prompt. The hotel was about a block away from the Uffizi gallery and within walking distance of other points of interest.

We spent 5 days in Hotel Fiorino. We were very content with everything - friendly staff, clean room, breakfast etc. During the booking transaction, I required a quiet room. So our room was to the backyard. The only noise was that of the air-conditioner, but better than the noise in the street (cars, vespas, music of discos). I would recommend the Hotel Fiorino without any restrictions.

The location of this hotel couldn't have been better for me. 2 min walk to the Uffizi and Pont Vecchio and a short walk to every other major attraction. The breakfast was adequate, with a freshly made cappacino and fresh fruit. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The sound in the halls echoed throughout the place due to the tile floors throughout, but was quiet at night. The staff were very helpful in obtaining a reservation for me. As well, they offered me a jacket and umbrella if I needed it. Very impressive.

I was a single female traveller staying in Florence for a few days. This hotel is perfect for walking around the city centre. The staff were great, breakfast is simple, but room was very clean and spacious. Its a bit of a walk to the train station (about 20 minutes away), but definitely worth staying there for comfort through the day to come and go as you please, and to stay in a hotel close to all of the main attractions. Would definitely stay in this hotel again.

Our rooms were fine, the staff was helpful and pleasant, speaking good English. They recommended a good restaurant where we were treated well and had a great dinner. Breakfast was plentiful and more than adequate. Our only complaint was the continuous noise from the alley in front of the hotel. Street vendors use the garages across the narrow alley to store their carts, so all night long we heard talking, metal doors being lifted, carts being pushed or driven in, doors closing, and scooters leaving. It was quiet for about 2 hours, then they came back to start another day and it was noisy again! Request a room on the back of the hotel, although there weren't that many. We are a couple in our 40s with 13 and 9 year old daughters. We visited Florence April 26-28, 2008 and spent 2 nights in a 4 person room on the first floor of this very nice hotel. It is located in a quiet street 5 min walk from the Uffizi Gallery and the Arno river, 10 min walk from the Duomo and 15 min walk from the Gallery of the Academia. Overall, it was very accessible to all major sites in Florence (we never needed to take a cab and walked everywhere). There are numerous of restaurants within a walking distance. The hotel overall was very clean. The room was spacious in European terms. 1 queen size bed and 2 separate single beds for the girls. The bathroom was huge in European terms and included a bathtub. Decent breakfast is served 8am-10am which was filling to us (the cappuccino was very good!). The breakfast staff was attentive in refilling missing items. The front desk staff was friendly, knowledgeable and responsive. They spoke English at a basic level and assisted us with recommendations to local restaurants, calling cabs and such. We stayed at a room (104) on the first floor which was close to the reception area and shared a wall with the breakfast hall. If you are among the late risers, you should ask for a room at a higher floor. There was no elevator from the street level to the lobby.

The Fiorino was a clean hotel with a helpful staff. It is a bit tough to find as it is a short ways up an alley, but very close to all the actions. Many nice restaurants nearby as well as major attractions. Internet service is available in the lobby for 1 Euro per 30 minutes. It was nice to catch up on some US news and sports. Rooms are a bit tight as is to be expected. They also had a nice "continental" type breakfast available in the morning included in the room price. Overall a high recommendation. This hotel is only 2 minutes from the Piazza della Signorina (Galeria Uffizi, etc). The staff was very friendly and helpful. One staffer came to adjust the radiator in my friend's room twice. The single rooms are rather small, but clean. The walls were awfully thin -- I could here what was happening a few rooms away!
