I was one week in the hotel, so it was not so good for me. The first problem: the bathroom was not clean on the wall and the Shower was not seperated from the Toilett. Another thing was you cant,t oben the window so the light dont came in. So you have just the dark elektizite light. The breakfast was not so good. Its not enough Cracker and a Croisannt with Jam and butter an coffe for me. So not on Buffet or so. No way just on your place. So I missed cheeses, cerialien or meat... And the breakfast room wasnt nice. I dont like the breakfast so I go in the Coffe bar nearby or in the city. The stuff was not on the recetion so I must look for her. The Balkon was also not clean enouth. And just with defectet chairs and tables. Just one thing was good. the area in the City because you can walk in that an you can go in the parks, an the bus was nearby, an little shops was nearby too, so I can eat in that. But it was narby on a big road...

The hotel is located alongside of the Arno river. That is the best feature of the hotel. It seems the building has been neglected for years. But the staff was really helpfull.

It's a pleasured hotel in summary with kind reception. Just a little more improvement on the bath for the shower curtain will be more available for preventing water splash when bathing.

At the arrive (7 pm) there were just 3 rooms available, instead of the 4 we booked for. Only one hairdryer available in the hotel. Breakfast really really poor (but the cappuccino was delicious). We had troubles with baths and one room flooded.

The hotel's actual appearance & condition is no where the same as the pictures on the web site. Paint is peeling in the corridors. Old & dirty with no repairs done. The door to the room was cracked & very squeaky had to change room. The breakfast was very poor, the orange juice was a mix of water & red color?? They offered dry stale crackers. Wow!! Other couples during our stay also stated that the web site & conditions do not match. Checking other hotels in the area, the price & quality is much better than Ferucci

Unfortunately, there were none highlights at Ferrucci. However, as an advantage there was cost-free parking and we could walk into the city (aprox. 15-20 minutes). The breakfast was ok for italian standards (coffee, croissant + crackers).

The hotel is located at a 15 to 20 minutes walking distance to the Ponte Vecchio, in a residential area of Florence. The rooms facing to the Arno river are quite noisy, but the hotel has a few other quiet rooms as well. Our room was spacious, nicely decorated and comfortable. The hotel is short-staffed, but they addressed most of our requests relatively quick. The breakfast could be definitely improved.

Mmmmmmm . . . . . well. What can I say. From the moment I arrived until I left this was a dissapointment. The staff were slow and unavailable most of the time. The room overlooked the courtyard which was noisy and dirty. The bathroom had no separate shower and I had to shower next to the toilet up against the wall. The bathroom got sopping wet and stayed that way until at least 6pm. The towels, when they were actually present, were thin, threadbare and resembled dish towels. I was overcharged for one night and could not find anyone to discuss this with. The gentleman who ran the reception wore a ragged tshirt and looked rather unkempt at the best of times. A definite no go. But Florence and David are beautiful and a must see!!!

The web page stated that "smoking rooms available", but were told on arrival that smoking is against the law in hotel rooms in Florence. No English was spoken at reception on arrival, although other staff were fluent later. The breakfast was a bit chintzy. But the room was very comfortable, and with windows closed, warm and quiet. Although the room price was good for Florence, it was rather expensive compared to less touristy towns in Italy.

The shower was the bathroom itself, no curtain, no plate. There was a noisy place. You can ear the cars in the street from from 7 in the morning to 2 on the night. Parking is for only 5 cars but in the street you can park the car by paying 1€/hour. There is a bus stop nearly and Ponte Vechio is at 20min walking.

The Ferrucci is designated a two star and delivers at that level. The price and quality are what one would expect for the rating. The location was convenient and we discovered a good restaurant just over the bridge. Parking was a trial for North American drivers but was free. The manager? kindly assisted us in removing our car from the lot as we could not manouevre it Italian style - for him it was a breeze! The rooms are spacious and the public areas pretty. The promised air conditioning worked but was completely ineffective and the bathroom above the shower was disgustingly mouldy. A shower curtain is available but the shower is old style with no separation from the rest of the bath so the floor gets pretty disgusting and we chose to hang our towels outside the room for fear of mould spores. Ferrucci is satisfactory if you're on a budget and we got what we paid for, but next time, we'll look for better quality.

I took my family of 4 to this hotel and it is the worst mistake I have made during my three years living in Europe. First off, the parking that is commented on so much was a joke. Three parking spots in a VERY tight area, I couldn't get my car in there at all. Secondly, we roasted all night. The room has an air conditioner, but it was not nearly suffice for a room with tall ceilings. It was EXTREMELY hot all night. When we asked the reception for a fan or someting, she offered us a piece of cardboard to fan ourselves. Please keep in mind that I had a 5 year old and a 8 month old baby with me. It was a HORRIBLE night. To top it off, the keys they gave us for the front door didn't work. They insisted on keeping our passports until the receptionist's "son" came in at 10pm. I even offered to give them a copy of everyone's passport, but she still refused. Not that I think that everyone should speak english or anything like that, but a hotel should not try to cater to an international crowd when they only speak Italian and nothing else. When I told the morning receptionist about our problems the night before, he said "If I knew I would of done something" an easy excuse when the night is over. AND WE DID tell someone who offered us a piece of cardboard. NEVER AGAIN THIS HOTEL!!

There is no car park. The man at the reception leave us using his own place in the personal car park (which was very nice from him) but it's small and I don't think they can do that for everyone. There is no breakfast either ! We had to eat our breakfast in a bar close to the hotel which was noisy and very small (only 4 tables and 4 chairs !) Not usefull. There is no climatisation either and it was difficult to open the window.

It was more than 500 metres from ponte vecchio. breakfast wasn't as various as we need. room was very noisy because of a large street near the hotel. we ate in a delicious "hosteria" nearby the duomo but we can't remember the name.we also ate a typical dish "fiorentina" in a good restaurant nearby the public library.

Generally speaking it is good in price and quality. Room is clean and stuff are frendly and helpful. With our request they even managed to get us a city map, a big one. The ceiling of the room even has painting decoration. You can tell that the hotel was a nice building. Well, the complimentaty breakfast is poor. Most guests rather not to take it. Hotel is along the river, yes nice view but it is also along a very noisy road. You have to keep the window shut to get a sleep. It is a bit too far from main attractions. You starve if you get back to hotel after 9:30pm with an empty stomach. We had to to walk 30 min to the downtown for food.

This hotel was very nice--similar to what you'll get for the price in many other cities. the location was about a 15 minute walk outside of the city center, but was very nice, clean and a little outside the hustle. Be forwarned though--shops and cafes etc. close for the sosta here, as they may not in the 'touristy' areas. The hotel staff was very nice helpful, the night crew spoke english, but the older woman in the day does not.

The room was a bit small once we put our 3 suitcases in it. The shower could use a barrier on the floor to contain the water. The street traffic was pretty heavy all night long and the noise was something you have to get used to over time. The staff was great.

Gracias Venere!

This hotel is right across the river from main attractions. The bus to attractions passes near the hotel. The staff was more than friendly. Our daughter hit her head and the night manager chipped ice off of his freezer to see that she got some since there was no ice machine. They have private parking and are willing to move their car to see you have a spot to put yours. Overall huge room with gorgeous painted ceiling, nice staff. My only complaints are that during our stay they didnt serve breakfast even though the web page said it was offered( and there arent but 2 choices otherwise within walking distance) and that there is no elevator. The ceilings are so high, and to get to our 3rd floor room was like going up 5 floors...but dont let that put you off, the place had a real atmosphere about it. We loved it.

This place is reasonable if you are not too picky about aesthetics. The rooms are clean and there is a great little terrace that overlooks the river. The major tourist destinations are only a few minutes away by bus or car and there is a good restaurant, "Gigi", about three blocks away. All in all i was satisfied when I left.

The first day we arrived (at 10) in the hotel there was no hot water, just barely warm but still quite unpleasant. The man at the entrance told me it would never happen again, but it happened another day in the afternoon. I suppose sometimes they turn off the boiler when there's no people in the building. The room it's nice, but there's no division between the shower and the rest of the bathroom, there's just a plastic curtain to divide them, it's odd, but it's nice if you want to have a shower in two. It's a shame our room was next to a main road and it was noisy at peak hours, maybe other rooms are better. The surroundings are very good, it isn't a tourist area and it's just 20 minutes walking to the center with a beatiful view of the city. There are two buses that connect the area to the station and the people of the area are very nice. I would recommend this hotel. P.S. I didn't use the parking facility, so I can't write about it.

The staff were very accomodating and friendly. They were doing some remodling of space for breakfast and were not able to offer this as advertised. Onsite parking at no cost was a plus. While it was a mile or two to major attractions, the walk was pleasnt with good sidewalks and views of the Arno River and bridges along the way. Close by resturants and markets provided food for breakfast and lunch at very reasonable prices. The local folks used these markets and shops muck more than tourist. We would definitely go back! The hotel had small lobby area and rooms were adequate in size...bathrooms had new fixtures but a rather small inefficient shower area. We didn't mind any of this, but some picky travlers looking for perfection might not be happy. Great price compared to nearby properties.

The buiding was old without protection for the road loud. The bathroom was no very clean. It missed paper for toilet and hand towel were no changed the second day. The website explained they have a private parking. It is true but it has only 5 places so we are not insured to have a place. It is expensive for the service.
