I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Ester. We had a lovely room with a balcony that overlooked the city. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and the bathroom was very luxurious compared to other hotels in the same price range. We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed 2 nights here. We had a room with a small balcony with a fabulous view of the city. It was odd having the office checkin on the second floor and our room on the 5th floor but it was easy to find and very convenient to the train station. Desk staff very helpful and friendly. No breakfast but lots of options within a block of the hotel.

Great hotel near the train station and close to everything. Great advice from the guy who checked us in, we were there on a holiday Monday, usually the big sights are closed on Mondays but he suggested we go and take a look, sure enough, the Academia and Uffizi Gallery were open and no lines at all !

Brilliant choice. The staff are 5 star plus, best people we encountered in any accommodation during our 5 week European adventure. Location is excellent, rooms are spacious, quiet and superbly clean.

Staff was friendly, room was fantastic. We were offered a room with a view and it was amazing. We had the bathroom downstairs, and the room with a large bed, big tv (which also could be used as a computer), and an amazing view of Florence upstairs. We were right next to the kitchen which was well stocked with anything you could need including condiments. Staff were incredibly nice and helpful, they even came back up to our room just to show us how to use the tv. It was the best hotel we stayed in on our trip and we stayed in 7 hotels over two weeks. Absolutely recommend it to anyone. Great for the price. The restaurant right down stairs, next to the hotel has a fantastic take away menu for really cheap, great food as well.

Next to the train station, not quiet sourrondings. Our room was across the street from the hotel, like another rooms called something- la chambre and la luna. So we did not stay in the hotel it self. The room was clean and spacious with AC because if you open the window it's a bit noise. We use a kitchen for do Our breakfast, and that part wasn't quite prepeared or clean enough and old. So the room didn't include breakfast.

Very nice staff. Excellent room and bath (but only small box for shower). They have elevator. Good internet service quality. The hotel is beside a supermarket and they have an excellent kitchen for cooking! =)

Hotel meets expectation except the Wi-Fi. Signal was very weak at all times. Hotel location is great and they give vouchers for breakfast at nearby cafes.

spacious room (we had a quadruple), not too noisy, considering the area, not the most appealing surroundings, but if you want to stay close to the train station it´s good enough. more of a hostel feeling, with the advantage of access to a kithcen.

Thie small hotel is conveniently located, just a five minute walk from the train station. It is within easy walking distance as well from all the main sights in Florence. The room was spacious and clean. Bathroom functioned well. Staff service was excellent. They washed our laundry for free. There was no dryer, but they provided a rack where the clothes could be hung up to dry overnight. Guests received a voucher for breakfast at a nearby restaurant where you were allowed any two of sandwich, danish or fruit cup, plus juice and coffee. It was more than adequate.

Regarding price vs quality I found this to be the best hotel in Florence, and I was not disappointed. In advance, I asked for a quieter room, and I think my wish came through. The thing is, Ester Hotel has three properties/areas, and we got a nice room in a side street called Via Fiume, which was quieter than in the main street 50 meters away from there. Having said that, Florence is quite noisy regarding traffic, especially this near the station Santa Maria Novella, I suppose. Having the railway station so near was excellent in another way, because it was very easy to get back to Rome and also to Siena, where we went for a day.

This stay was very pleasant and really nice and friendly hospitality! The staff is very nice and pleasant. Ask "Rosanna" if you're French, she speaks very well. It's a wonderful person and she will put you at ease immediately. I keep a really wonderful memories of those few days in this hotel.

It was a great location being next to the train station, eateries and supermarket. The Skype, internet, SKY (cable TV) in every room was a BIG bonus, especially we had to research, book tickets etc. Room is cosy and generally comfortable. On the negative side, the room I was allocated was next to to a shower and the water leaked into the room. There was also a funny stench at another corner of the room which I suspect the cleaner might have stuck some wet cloth (for days) to stop water from seeping through. As the room faces the street with the windows open means noise is inevitable. But I was dead tired everyday to be bothered by that. If I had a choice, I would pick another establishment by Ester (Maison de Charm) which I stayed there for a night.
