I booked for a double room but got upgraded to a superior room with view! Very nice room, more than I expected. When we checked out, we asked the lady in the reception (forget to ask her name) to keep our luggage and she was so helpful gave us a private room near their office. Thanks to her.

Mother daughter trip. We stayed there for 8 days and could not have asked for a better location for travelling, we were a very short distance to a train and bus station, and it was surprsingly quiet and most importantly safe. Very competent and friendly staff, we were happy to be greeted with a smile after a long journey. The rooms were very clean. Staff responded quickly to any queries or changes we needed. The hotel staff works very hard to respond to needs as efficiently as poosible. The rooms and common areas were VERY CLEAN. Staff members seemed to be genuinely happy to be working there and you feel that there is a team effort to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Another important factor for me - there were no dirty carpets but laminate flooring in the rooms and hallways. Breakfast was good. Croissants, cereal, jam, fresh bread, ham and cheese, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and juices. Would have liked to see fresh fruit on the menu, but what they provied was more than expected for the rate of this hotel. I have no hesitation recommending or retruning to this hotel.

We were unpleasant surprised as there is no minibar in the room. The bath and the tv are too small, but the rest was fine. The free internet connection was very nice. This hotel is very simple, no luxury, but is ok, you do not spend much time there. The location is perfect if you want take the shuttle bus from the airport. The trip takes only 15 minutes from the airport, the hotel is very close to the bus stop. Perfect!

This hotel advertised itself as an internet hotel, and it is true. The WiFi signal in the room was very strong and reliable. The breakfast was very good, and was in a large room. The location is a block from the train station and all the sights are within walking distance. The rooms were quite large, but the shower was only separated by a curtain and did not have a stall, but it was fine.

Triple room instead of double,it was as described on the website.Furnished on 70'style. Walls and ceiling need some new paint(footmark on ceiling marks on walls). We can ear noises(loudly) from the sluice room(next to our room)when they were working in the morning. We didn't have any problems to sleep anyway...even having two different mattresses mine was lower(on a king size bed).Bathroom was clean a bit dated but in good working order,so no problem for hot water. No lid for bidet! We found ants reported and sorted out quickly. Breakfast was good apart of the fact that we didn't liked drinks from machines(coffee, capuccino, orange juice...etc).We liked also the parquet in the room and pubblic areas. Location as described on website beside railway station but not noise at all... People very gently and helpfull. Overall I would Recommend this hotel for location cleanliness and helpfull charming staff.

Most terrible stay at this hotel. We had the misfortune of staying at this hotel this past June 2009 for 2 nights. The hotel is rated 3 stars but it is not even worth 0 stars. Read further... This is a poorly maintained property and the A/C doesn't work at all in the rooms, thus making the room temperature intolerable. To make things worse, guests are therefore forced to open the room windows, which then allows large blood-sucking mosquitoes to enter the rooms and sucked our blood all night long. Our little kids had huge mostito bite bumps as a result. We also saw red ants in the floor, which sort of freaked out our kids. The shower has not curtain, which makes it very inconvenient to take a shower. The whole bathroom was flooded b/c there was no shower curtain or glass door. The hotel charged us an extra EUR 60 for the 6 year old child (extra bed) and it is definitely not worth the extra price that we had to pay for the child. The hotel reception's attitude left a lot to be desired. It seemed that they were more interested in our money than making us feel welcome. And why do they make a photo copy of each of our passports? Very strange attitude, I must say. They did this for each guest that checked in. I would definitely not recommend the hotel to anyone. Just across the street and around the railway stn surroundings, we saw several hotels offering rooms at EUR 50-75/nt. Probably these cheaper hotels would offer a comparable experience. We paid EUR 190/nt for the room and it was not worth it. The quality of the hotel is comparable to a low-end rickety shack Best Western that one comes across in a small city here in the US. Stay away from this property or you will regret the stay in Florence. Our children gave this hotel a negative 2 rating (if there is such a rating that one can extend!).

Unfortunately Firenze is a mess and the location of the hotel was damage due to the city being in such a situation of all distroyed to fix a tram via that was started three years ago and not yet finished. No car parking in front of the hotel and also to pick up a taxi we have to walk with lugagge.

We had a very spacious and clean room. The breakfast is good, and the free internet near the lobby is a huge perk. Staff was polite and accommodating. Location is convenient to the Santa Maria train station and about a 10 minute walk from the center of the city. Not the prettiest interior design in this hotel, but if you're in Florence, chances are you're there to see the city anyway! We had a very nice stay.

Elevators too old and slow !! The breakfast was so poor to be afraid of my own health !! Is incredible that in a town like Florence could be found foods of such incredible low quality (the express coffee was comparable to dirty water and the orange juice had a taste of the worse soap. I think that Delle Nazioni Hotel could improve its breakfast service AVOIDING it as soon as possible. Customers will appreciate very, vey much.

My wife and I only stayed for one night. Came by car after exploring the Chianti region and took a train to Rome the next day. No major complaints about the hotel, but no specific positive things to say as well. It's a clean, value for money hotel if you intend to travel by train...surrounding area is not very clean and welcoming, but we never felt threatened. Only problem is the car ramp for unloading luggages from our car filled by this one car for the whole day so we had to park our luggages at the Garage nearby and carry them to the hotel. Hotel is very very IKEA...

Spacious room, but the carpet needs to be replaced. Also the fabric of the chair and quilt is worn out. The bathroom is very dark and the shower is terrible because there's only a curtain so the bathroom floor gets all wet anyway!!! And, on our last night the air conditioner broke and it was very hot and there were no other rooms available so we had to sleep with that temperature. The breakfast is very good, and also the free internet. But the hotel staff is terrible. They're not well trained and have no manners, they don't treat the guests well. When we complained about the A/C they said there was nothing they could do. I wouldn't stay there again.

Breakfast was the best we had during our vacation. The room was large but the shower area was less than desired. The commode was basically in the shower. The area is a little rough but we never felt in danger. (it's right next to the train station) but everything is a 15 minute walk.

The hotel was close to the Florence train station, very convenient. The staff was helpful and friendly. The common area was very modern and well decorated. There is free Wi-Fi internet access, however, every 10-15min times out and will need to re-login. One thing that we weren't particularly satisfied is that the room that we stayed seemed like it hasn't been occupied for some time, and we had quite a few of bug/flea bites from staying there.

While we appreciated the continental breakfast, I noticed that the scrambled eggs were overcooked. There was no orange juice and the coffee was not too good. But the food was plentiful and the dining room was clean and cleared right away. Service was good. I liked the proximity to the bus station and Santa Maria Novella train station. But at the same time, the hotel's location next to the train/bus station prevented us from staying out late at night because of security risks. The high ceiling of our room made the room look really spacious and airy.

We were very pleased with our stay at Delle Nazioni. We had chosen it for its proximity to the Train station, as we were arriving late at night after a long trip. It was such a relief, after traveling for 24 hours to walk 3 minutes to the hotel (just take the station exit on the left when facing the tracks, cross the street, turn right and walk a block and a half). The staff was very welcoming and spoke excellent English. The rooms aren't fancy, but they are large and very clean. The breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of pastries, cereals, fruit, etc...served in a very attractive large room. The hotel has very stylish and contemporary public areas including a nice looking bar, although we didn't have time to stop by. We only spent one night and left early the next morning so I don't have a real sense of its convenience to Florence sights (although nothing is very far), but it was perfect for train travelers looking for a convenient spot to rest.

We thought check in was at 12 noon. We arrived about 3 PM and were told that check in was 5PM. The front desk wanted us to put our bags in an unlocked / unattended room that had close access to the outside door. We said no - after some discussion, we were allowed to keep our bags behind the desk. We went out and returned about 4:40 PM and were told that check in was not until 5 PM so we sat in a warm stuffy lobby until 5 PM! The area surrounding the hotel is not as nice as we thought it might be - a little rougher than expected. Location is just across the street from the railway station, which was very handy. We are non-smokers so we really didn't care for the cig. smoke from the hallways drifting in to our room via the ventilation system. Don't know if I would stay there again, but for a little over 100 euros with breakfast and right across from the station - might be acceptable.

On arrival we immediately received an apology for the fact that the hotel was undergoing refurbishment. However our rooms were made available to us straight away despite the fact that it was only about 10 o'clock in the morning due to a very early flight. Some of the rooms were missing final non-essential fittings like hairdryer, safe, clothes rail in wardrobe etc, but were bright, cheerful, clean and warm, and the workmen appeared to be doing their best to cause as little disruption as possible. A further review when the alterations are finished will, I am sure, be fairer on the hotel.

We booked 3 rooms in this hotel. Two out of three without heat in the middle of winter. When asked the staff, they just said they would check but nothing was done. Hair dryer also available one out of three rooms. The rooms on the street side are very noisy. Internet connect is very expensive in the hotel. Go down to the train station you only have to pay 1/4 of the price. Most of hotel we used in Italy offer free internet. Will not return to this hotel. Just my two cents.

The website promised a view of Florence from the 4th floor. When I booked I specifically requested for a room from the 4th floor. When I arrived my family were dumped on a 1st floor room and when asked why we were not put on the 4th floor as requested, was advised that the floor was being renovated, without any apologies from the desk clerk or management who seemed arrogant and having a devil may care attitude. I am displeased with this hotel and will strongly advise others of thinking well all over again before booking.

This place was inexpensive and okay to stay at for one night. In a sketchy part of town near the train station, but convenient none the less. The first thing I noticed was that the bathroom smelled horrible and there was hair on the floor, it looked like it had not been cleaned properly. The room was okay, the bed rather soft, but at least that had clean sheets. The hotel did have air conditioning and elevators, a plus. The price was cheap and the staff was competent and helpful.

The hotel is directly across from the train station, and was the best price in Florence on the internet from what I could tell. I did not pay attention to the price quoted and misunderstood the price for the room, but that was my fault. I was paying the "high" price rather than the low price, so I am not sure I got the best price on the internet, but the hotel was wonderful. They even have internet service on site, which was very helpful for me. The collazione was one of the best we had during this stay in Italy. (It was a *** (3 star) hotel, while the others were all two star hotels. The staff weren't quite as friendly as the proprietor-run pensiones we stayed it, but overall it was an excellent stay. Highly recommended.
