A family run B&B. It's in a wing of an apartment block. LArge bedrooms but average and small beds. Shared bathrooms. Very thin walls so you can hear all the other guests. Decore is very 1970s. There is free street parking, excpet on Saturday nights because of street cleaning. Then the closest free street parking is at least 500m away. However, it is only 700m fro the train stop, and it is only one train stop from the sentre of Florence. It is a cheap hotel - expect to get what you pay for. If you are not going to spend lots of time in the hotel, its perfect.

Laura (20) y Rodrigo (20). España.

This hotel was amazing. The woman who greeted us, and her husband, were always so kind. They made our stay in Florence unforgetable, and theyir kindness inspired us that hotel owners still care to be personal, loving towards clients, and all around professional people.

A bit difficult to find, but once you're there, the centre of Florence is easy to reach on the train (just 5 mins). Clean rooms, and one of the most welcoming owners I've ever met! Made our stay lovely. :)

There are cost-free parking lots in front of the hotel but it can happen that you have to look for a free one quite a while. The easiest way to get to town is with the train - the station is a 5-10 minutes walk away.

A little far out, but the buses were easy to get to and went to central locations. The staff was extremely helpful and nice. Room was comfortable and clean... overall a very nice place to stay at a fairly good price for that time of the year.

Spacious, clean and good value for money being only 4 blocks from Refredi Station (500m)and then one stop to main Novella station. Well stocked supermarket and other shops nearby, has lift, and is very clean and secure. We felt safe in the area day and night. Staff were very helpful and communication in english is possible. Street parking in front is often full and you wait (we waited up to 20 minutes once) for a vacancy to appear.Sunday between midnight and 6.00 am streets are swept and cars have to be moved to public parking at nearby railway station (costs a euro) for this day only. GPS found it OK but web map looks difficult to me as is all of Florence with their one way systems. Breakfast average by Ausrailian standards but not an expensive extra.

Although, this is rated as a one star hotel, BUT the quality of the service that we received were amazing! The owner was very helpful during our stay. The rooms and the shared bathrooms were very clean. The hotel is just a little bit outside the centre of Florence. You can get to the city in 10 mins, this hotel is value for money especially if you are going to be travelling for a while. We found this local pizzaria, and their pizzas were the best we had in Italy!

This is more bed and breakfast type as there's no toilet/shower inside the room. Hard to gain access as the only 2 toilet/bathroom were occupied most of the time in the evening. Rooms are in an appartment complex. No airconditioning and the price paid was close to other 3-star hotels in the area.

The hotel was not in the main city center of florence, but was just a train stop before in a quite part of the surrounding area. The Hotel is a one floor hotel in a neighborhood. The guy who works at the hotel is the twin brother of danny devito I swear! The hotel is a bit of a walk from the train station but the rooms are clean and there is a clean bathroom and shower. The only downside is that around 7am the danny devito look alike tends to yell at what I can only assume is his wife. Overall good for the price and always felt safe.

This was the bargain of our two months in Italy. It was our first time at an one star hotel (so we were nervous), but it was as especially clean and neat, the staff was as helpful as the best four star hotels, and we felt at home right away. We were there for 5 days in September and returned for a four day stay in October, and we will not consider staying at any other hotel in Firenze.

The price, front desk service and clean spacious room were great. The 15 minute bus ride to the main train station and the main tourist sights and figuring out how to do it was the biggest negative. The other was the high noise level where you could hear people using their sink in the next room and the shared bathroom doors across the hall were noisy.

We drove in from the north and would have preferred to know that each of the mentioned streets is the obvious one - you just follow your nose! Once on Santo Stefano in Pane, you need to turn onto via delle Panche and then turn left at the third block on via Ragazzi del'99. The owner is delightful and very helpful, offering good advice on how to get into the centre of Florence by bus. For evening meals, there is one Trattoria close by. Breakfast at the hotel is okay but the local cafes offer more variety. Good for a family. Also for people looking for simple accomodation at a good price.

I loved staying at the Hotel Cinzia in Firenze, Italy. It was so clean and comfortable. I felt like I was treated like family. The staff went way far beyond friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay there again and would suggest it to anyone. It is close to all public transportation and, though it only has I think 6 rooms, and 3 bathrooms, they were always clean and well kept. I think the only drawback, which is nominal, is that finding the hotel was a little confusing. I don't blame the staff, but my lack of ability to follow directions. If someone is going to stay there, and gets off on the #28 bus, the road "Via Ragazzi del 99" is actually blocked and no longer used from the main drag, but there are road guard pipes closing it, which can be walked through, not driven through (not on the end of the road opening on "Via Della Panche"- the 20 bus line runs on- there's no block there) Well, all in all I loved it and think it's one of the best!

Great hotel on the outskirts of Florence - in quiet residential area, near train station (5 minutes from central station, eu1.10 by train). The highlight of this place is the host, he was really fantastic, and he gave us some great suggestions of different places to visit. The hotel itself is a bit far from the city centre but there is a bus that passes quite regularly that goes right to the centre. For the price, this place is definately worth it, especially since it's located in a residential area, so we were able to park right outside for free.

Very nice place, very clean, and prices are those announced on the website. Credit cards accepted. Be careful, the map of the area is unreadable, try to get a map of Florence's surroundings before getting there. To find the hotel, follow Careggi Hospital direction, then look for Dalmazia plazza, and finally ask your way: you are almost there. You can call the hotel to ask how to get there too, people are very nice...

MArco the recpetionist made out stay a wonderful experience with lots of helpful tips. We drove into florence and had some difficulty finding the hotel - invest in a good road map if you're driving as the hotel is far from downtown (15mins by bus) and it's not on any guidebook maps. nevertheless because it was so far from downtown it meant we had free èarking and the bus service was convenient. Marco is awesome and I highly recommend this hotel to anyone going to Florence.

The hotel is very far from the center of town and very difficult to find - in fact there was no real map given online. If you are taking the train - get off the stop before the central station - at Rifedi. Walk one block away from station and you'll hit a main street. Cross that street, turn right, then left at the corner bar that's on a strip with apartments, offices, etc. then turn right again - you'll see an exercise place. Walk about 100 feet and it's on your left. If this sounds complicated, there's the main guy who runs the bar just outside the Rifedi station who can draw you a map. Ask for a room that's not next to the W.C. - otherwise if you are a light sleeper, you will hear every person who goes to use the WC. The bus into town runs frequently on the main street but it's still pretty far so you can't return to take a siesta. The woman manager speaks great english and was extremely helpful in calling a couple places for us for our next stop.
