I chose Cavour for the location, but during my stay I appreciated the high quality of services. My tip is : go to Ristorante Paoli (very close to the hotel); you'll thank me.

The hotel is in great location. the only postive thing going for it. The staff were very unhelpful. Rooms very noisy from other guests, it felt they were in the same room as us. Couldn't turn the airconditioning off. We had leak from the room above us. The room was so smaall. We would never stay there again. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone of our friends!!!!

for 3 nights; excellent situated - close to the dome and just 10 min walk away from the railway station; not much of publc areas apart from the reception hall; Bar alsways seemed closed - at least there were never any guests; too expensive;

This is a beautifull hotel and very convenient to all the sights. The breakfast was spectatular and the service was excellent.

Quite disappointed when entering my room..it had NOTHING TO DO with the pictures shown in the hotel´s web. They SHOULD INFORM they only have 30 refurbished rooms and that the rest are quite OLD and quite NOISY. The situation is very good and breakfast & staff quite nice. But I felt I was somewhere else from the Cavour, at least from what I expected after visiting their website!

This was a very special trip. The location of this hotel is perfect. Walking distance to everything you want to see... We even bought 5 leather jackets from a shop right around the corner. The front desk clerks were very helfpul, the people in the town were wonderful. if you get hungry, the place right next door (Yellow something) was great. I will be back and I will stay at this hotel again. We had a bottle of wine on the roof top terrace one evening with the greatest view of the city. If you stay anywhere else, it is your own fault.

Hotel Cavour is really just not great - and I really wanted it to be! While close to the major "attractions" it was an area that lacked charm. Our room had a really strange mural on the wall and it was VERY loud outside. We had to leave the windows open since it was unseasonably warm and the air conditioning didn't work. The staff was well-informed, although arrogant. I just would never recommend this hotel to a friend - I am sure that there are others that are far more warm and welcoming and in more appealing locations. We did eat at two fantastic restaurants - La Giostra (seriously - just go!) and Cantinetta Antinori, a high end wine bar and restaurant with the best asparagus (among other things) that I have ever tasted!

We arrived on 10/06 to a heatwave in FLorence and we were told that the air conditioning in the hotel had been turned off. We would never book a hotel which did not have air conditioning but since we were only staying overnight w4e did not move. We opened the large window which faced an alley way and were up all night. THe room was very hot and it was extraordinarily loud. I would never stay at this hotel again.

Clean and spacious room with a great bathroom....near everything. Would definitely stay there again. Highly recommend it.

This Hotel is ideally located for all attractions in the city of Florence.

The location was wonderful right beside the Duomo and a few minutes by foot from Piazza della Signoria and the river Arno. Wonderful views from the roof garden. All the major attractions were within 20 minutes on foot. The staff were friendly,courteous and helpful.

We found the other comments on the site very helpful in making our decision about choosing this place. We visited Dec of 06 and found our stay to be very enjoyable. Since it was winter we had little need to keep our windows open so it was quiet. We could see how if the windows had to be open it could be noisy--but that's the price to pay for the location. We found the hotel to be very clean, the employees to be helpful and the location could not have been any better. We will stay there again on our next visit.

Especially welcomed by Salvatore at the front desk and Ali at the door (and, it seemed, he was everywhere at once).We were given one of the best rooms in the hotel (#325) even with the special Venere rate. Don't miss the roof garden with spectacular views of Firenze. We have stayed all over Italy on our moderate budgets, but have never experienced such an extraordinary place, with such friendly people. And, in the best location in Firenze between the Duomo and Piazza della Signore. Go!!!

The check-in staff and manager on duty were quite efficient and kind / accommodating. The hotel location and its facilities are good, and we had value for our money as regards the accommodations we got. Buffet breakfast was quite good. The triple/quadruple bedroom is spacious, but the double bedroom is average in size. The shower cubicle in the doubleroom we had is very small, and, with its fixed plastic enclosure, it was difficult for an adult (even of an average build)to move around / wash himself in.

Excelente ubicación, a mano derecha del lobby se encuentra un Restaurant - Bar llamado Angels que es muy recomendable, el personal se portó muy amable. En cuanto a price-value, sin duda alguna es una de las mejores opciones en florencia.

The property and room were very nice. We had a small problem with the air conditioning which the courteous staff quickly remedied.
