Very helpful staff who made our stay very enjoyable. The weather was particularly cold (late October) and the room was cold, with a tiny amount of heat but that was the only downside.

the only negative aspect is taht the room, though large and clean, had the main window closed so that only artificial light was available. Foa 1-night stay it is ok but for multiple days this may be a minus. I don't know how many rooms have the window blocked or if only my room was blocked. In all cases the Quality/Price ratio is excellent.

The staff at the hotel was very helpful and courteous. The rooms were clean and quiet and were within a short walking distance of many of the sights in Florence. I would recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a small hotel with character and helpful staff. We had delicious meals at restaurants recommended by staff and were very happy with our experience.

The main issue I had with the room was that it was very smoky smelling. Definitely had to have the window open each day to air out the room. (I think the managers and/or maids are heavy smokers and even the towels smelled of smoke. Breakfast was one of the best of all the hotels we stayed at in italy. Had a good variety and coffee/cappucino was very good. Hotel was close to train station and in walking distance from all sites and museums.

Slightly outside the main tourist spots but within walking distance and in a quiet, good area. Good for the congress centre. I thought 90 euros a night for a single was a little on the high side but not excessively so. Poor breakfast but that's normal in Italy.

The hotel overall looks new and clean although it is 15-minute-walk from centre. The hotel staff are very friendly, especially Amy who tried her very best to help us on eating, leisure, etc.

We loved this small hotel. The location was fantastic - about a 15 minute walk from the main squares, which felt very safe even late evening. The staff were very helpful and polite. We had a family room which was clean and spacious and we loved having breakfast in the courtyard area next to the little garden. We felt that this was a real taste of Florence and our 10 and 13 year olds really enjoyed the stay too. Just one tip: if you park outside the hotel to drop off luggage you are just into the 'central parking zone' this means you have to give your car registration to the staff on the desk to avoid receiving a fine. (They explained all this on our arrival.) There was a nearby underground carpark, but we parked on a blue meter a couple of streets away, outside the central zone, which was fine and worked out slightly cheaper.

The Hotel Bonifacio was the best hotel we stayed at in Italy. The location was perfect, a fifteen minute walk away from the busier part of town and short walk to the Accademia to see the David. It's a perfect oasis from the grind of daily traveling activities. Coffee in the morning is freshly dripped by a wonderful little lady. Delicious. The staff was very friendly, a real cast of characters. We'd go back in a heartbeat.

The staff was very helpful and friendly they and spoke English. They rooms were very plan no frills rooms but they were very clean and comfortable. The breakfast area is neat it's like a small private restaurant and a very professional looking woman sees after the area and makes you coffe, cappachino etc.. to go with the breakfast. I really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely come back. The location was good. We walk a lot anyway and walked to most places to site see.elevator available

This was our first trip to Italy. Everyone at the hotel was very pleasant and helpful. I have highly recommended Bonifacio to our British friends who run a tourist villa in Umbertide. Their clients are frequently looking for a moderately priced lodging in Florence.

The Bonifacio Hotel is a really nice hotel, but its location is a bit of a drawback. Every time you go into the interesting part of Florence, there is a 15 minute walk to be made. There are bus services, but they dont go too close to the hotel, so you need to be quite fit. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, mostly quite good, and of course its fairly handy for an early morning visit to L'Academie. An early morning visit is an essential if you want to get in before the crowds, which are huge.

All of the staff were friendly and very helpful. The location was in a quiet area. The walk to the centre of Florence was safe and quiet. There were good shops nearby and en route to the city. Breakfast was fine with a good range of food. The only issue for us was that some of the linen wasn't inspected prior to being put on the bed e.g. some 'clean' sheets that were put on the bed that still had an old red wine stain on or others that had a rip in them. The sheets were changed when staff were notified. We would recommend Tito's nearby for an evening meal.

Welcoming in the hotel was ok, despite that the man in the reception did not speak english. The room was very spacious, clean and quiet. The hotel itself was about 20 min walking from the town center and there was no nice restaurants/bars around the hotel. No parking.

The staff of the Hotel Bonifacio was wonderful! I injured my arm when I was in Florence and they were terrific at getting me ice so I could ice it in the evenings etc. The hotel is in a great location, an easy walk to city center but on quiet, lovely street.

I would highly rate this hotel. It is a 15-20 minute walk to the Duomo, with the Galleria dell'Academia about half way in between. The hotel was excellent except for one minor incident. On our second night the electricity somehow went out in our room and the night desk man could not fix it. Somehow it came back on in the morning. The hotel was booked so we couldn't move, but they gave us a smaller room to use the bathroom. Except for this inconvenience, the hotel is highly recommended.

We stayed 3 nights, it was the most pleasent hotel during our one week vacation in Italy. It was quit, clean, well equiped and good located. The breakfast was rich with plentiful choice. We appreciate the kindness and helpfulness of the staff, especially the lady at the reception desk speaking german. She helped us a lot in different things, many thank for it. I recommend it to everyone, who looks for an accomodation at a good price-value rate!

This was our first visit to Florence but we were able to choose nice neighboring restaurants and we did not miss places to visit near by the city during one week staying there because of heart-warming helps by the hotel staffs. The hotel room we stayed was extremely quiet and well cleaned up everyday that made us comfortable. Perhaps, the hotel is not located in the very middle of the central city, but you can reach Duomo or S.M.N. central station within 10-15min by walk. In our staying, the distance was not pain for us at all. Breakfast was a little bit simple with no vegetables but this could be because of the Italian breakfast like someone else in this review said and we got used to. If we stay in Florence again in the future, I will choose this hotel and I can recommend this hotel to people looking for a nice quiet room with reasonable price.

Just what we needed, quiet, good beds, air-condition, fine bath room. Not more than 20 minutes to walk to city center and important museums. The breakfast was quite plain, but who cares. Very small public area but we didn't need it anyway.

The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. They went out of their way whenever we had a question. The location is about 8min walk from the main station but we didnt mind. We walked everywhere in Florence from the hotel. The rooms were a little small but we managed. We had our own bathroom which was great. Defiantly recommend this hotel.

This was a very clean safe, and well appointed hotel for its grade. It is a little far from the centre of the City and not on greatest bus routes but for the sake of a little walking each day was very good value. Being English we would have liked a Bath and not just a shower! Breakfasts are Italian - not really worth getting up for apart from the coffee! but that goes for every other Hotel I have stayed at in Italy! I would book this hotel again without hesitation. Great food available around the corner at Il Vegeterano - great cheap Vegetarian restaurant with quirky service arrangements and great food at silly prices.

Very nice Hotel, nice rooms, nice view (we stayed in room 18 i think). Even though not next to the center it was just 10 - 15 mins walk through a very nice neighborhood ... We really appreciated the kindness and availability of the staff ... I recommend it !

At first the walk from the train station to the hotel was daunting. Trying to wheel your luggage on narrow often very crowded streets is a challenge. Once at the hotel I was not overly impressed by the lobby or facility. As I got to know the staff and the area I came to the realization that this hotel is really a great bargain. It is away form the crowds, it is in a very quiet area, and there are several nice restaurants near by. I was particularly impressed with Fabio who was very helpfull. My wife and I stayed in room 18 which was rather plain in side, but, when you open the window and door to the terrace offered a nice view. We visited Venice, Florence, Siena, and Rome. Florence was by far our favorite.

This hotel was great for a family of 4 with older children- we were surprisingly given a double room on a higher floor in a quiet part of the hotel. Much appreciated! Breafast was expensive for what it was. Location was good - close to train and a few minutes to the centre of Beaune. Lovely bar area with a pool table - however the 10 euro cost for a game of pool was a little excessive. The provision of free internet for a short period was great. Receptionist was very helpful- especially as I had booked for the wrong dates.

As described on the webpage, the hotel is a 15 minutes walk to most attractions (Duomo) which made the hotel quiet and out of heavy traffic. This allowed us to relax in the lovely backyard/garden in the evening and to have a peaceful sleep at night. The staff was most helpful, knowledgeable and very friendly. The reception staff was welcoming and warm as well as the breakfast staff. Fresh/luxurious towels provided daily. Breakfast is simple (yogurt/fruit/cheese/ham/cereal/croissant/rolls/etc). We made this hotel our base in Italy for 6 nights and would have no problem staying there again when we return to Florence. Also, located 2 blocks from a laundromat. It was a quiet oasis in a somewhat hectic trip to Italy.

The hotel was a very nice property in a slightly out of the way residential neighborhood. It was a short walk to everything we needed but it was nice to retreat to a quiet neighborhood in the evenings. There were wonderful restaurants all around and good shopping - both at much lower prices than in the center of things. The hotel staff were pleasant and helpful, and the rooms comfortable.

For our first time in Florence and just coming from a cramped hotel in Rome this was the most spacious room and bathroom we had in Italy. The hotel was a ten minute walk from the train station which was in a real nice area and close to all the sights and sounds of Florence.
