Hotel Axial - Florence

Exactly what I expected. The room was small but very clean and more than adequate for a single person, it even had a small desk. The breakfast is minimal and the caffe poor but if you're not having your caffe and coroneta in a local bar you are not visiting Italy. :-)

By far the best stay out of all the places we booked through venere. The staff are so friendly and helpful, particularly the guy with black short hair. It's right in the heart of things in Florence, great location. And the rooms are fantastic, nice and clean and plenty of space. The only thing I'd say is that the beds are a little uncomfortable but I would forgo this for the staff and the facilities. Will definitely return.

We stayed at the Axial for 3 nights as part of a week long break in Italy. This hotel was in an excellent location, you step out of the front door and turn left and 500 yards down the road you are looking at the Duomo and Bell Tower. There are shops aplenty outside the front door in every direction and so many places to eat and drink. The room was a reasonable size and quite basic but nice and cool considering how hot it was outside. The bathroom was a little small but for a short stay it was good enough. The staff were extremely helpful and efficient and nothing was too much trouble, even when I managed to lose the key to our room!! We booked a day trip to Pisa and Lucca which was all arranged by the hotel staff and went smoothly and we had a lovely day out. Breakfast was basic and it would have been nice to have drinks made up as needed rather than having to get them from a machine but no complaints really. I would definitely stay at this hotel next time I go to Florence and cannot recommend it enough.

Fantastic situation on the main shopping street and easy,flat walking distance of all the sights.Hotel staff great - friendly and helpful.Breakfast fairly basic but adequate. We would definitely stay here again

An excellent hotel at a great value! We stayed here on the second leg of our honeymoon trip and it was absolutely perfect. The staff were welcoming and very accommodating. The room was small, but very well-equipped and very comfortable. Breakfast included a nice assortment of items and we took great advantage of the complementary (and very fast) internet access. The location of Hotel Axial couldn't be better. I would recommend this hotel to anyone, but keep in mind that it's in the heart of Florence, so there is some city noise (with the window closed, it wasn't a problem at all). Also, while the hotel's Web site offers perfect directions to make the walk from the train station, it can be a bit difficult with large luggage. The cab back was 7 or 8 Euros and well worth it! Again, I would highly recommend this hotel to all travelers to Florence!

A reasonable hotel for the rate. The location was great. The staff was helpful. I would stay there again.

The Hotel Axial is very good and it is well located. You can do everything on foot. The hotel staff is very competent and kind.

Very nice hotel in the centre, internet free. You can also buy water and wine. Quite small room for single traveller but you can see it on the foto and for me it was ok. Good choice!

Perfect location just near the Duomo and within easy walking distance to everything. The staff was very friendly and helpful and it was a plus to have access to 2 computers to check e-mail and even pay bills online!!

The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The location was PERFECT. Rooms were larger than most other typical small facilities. this was a great value.

A nice hotel in the center of the city, and on a nice street, too, right in the thick of things. Single superior is very good, quite spacious, with a safe and a mini bar. Breakfast is sparing. The staff is very welcoming and extremely helpful.

I loved this hotel so very much!!! As a single traveller it was a great experience staying at this hotel for the first time! I felt welcomed, safe and all my needs, few though they were, were met. The facilities available were lovely including the internet room (a God-send). Everything was clean and user friendly. Central location, in fact, so central you have to look out both ways when you leave the front entrance for shoppers. You can see the Duomo from just outside the premises and it is in the middle of shopping heaven if you feel that way inclined!! If I get back to Florence I would definitely another stay there!!!

I booked the hotel initially for 2 nights and ended up staying for 5, the hotel's location is excellent, front office staffs are helpful and friendly and speaks good English. The single room that i got was very small but clean and well presented. Very reasonable rates too. Definitely recomended.

This was a 6 night stay in the axial hotel in florence. I have stayed here before and it will always be my preferred choice for the central location, and modern amenities within the hotel. the staff are all very helpful. it is always a very pleasant stay, no problems.

We had an inconvinient in our arrival to axial hotel: the air codittioned of one of the rooms we had reserved was broken so we had to spent our first night with out it and then next day we changed to other room that was empty 'cause the first there was no room avaliable for us. The problem was solved eficiently cause the hotel staff gave us a ventilator to spend the night comfortably and next we changed rooms.

Beautiful room and position, l' only thing is the breakfast made with the vending machine of the coffee, unacceptable considered the paid price

Even though the air conditioning had trouble keeping up with the 90+ degree heat, the shower worked very well, so we were able to come back to the room to cool off when needed. The staff here is friendly, welcoming and very helpful. The location can't be beaten: walk out the door and to your left is the Duomo, to your right is the Piazza della Repubblica. There are shops and restaurants in abundance, you are a short walk from the train station and all the sights. If there is room for improvement, the entry and stairway could be painted and "spruced up" a little. When you first come into the building off the street, you wonder what you've gotten yourself into. However, a short elevator ride or walk up the stairs and you're at Axial's pretty, cool reception.

The location is excellent, providing easy walking access. The walk from the train station was a bit long with luggage. However, we received a warm welcome at the hotel and the clean air conditioned room provided a quick reset and we were able to head out for a walk to enjoy the local sites.

This hotel is lovely. The location is superb. Very near Duomo which is the biggest & most important church to visit in Florence. It's just above the shopping street yet the room I got was totally not noisy at all. Although you can hear music or singing by the performing artists at evening from the nearby square. The internet room is spacious & comfortable as well. 2 computers are available to serve around 10 rooms in this small hotel which allow me to use it without anyone waiting after me. Staffs are very helpful & nice. I had a wonderful stay. Will go back there if I go back to Florence again. Highly recommended.

I've been to Florence several times and have stayed in every kind of hotels. The location of this hotel is great for visiting the city, going shopping and also near any restaurants and nightlife's places. It is clean and confortable. The staff is also very friendly. Breakfast is continental style and the coffee they serve is very good, not the usual water-like coffee available in other hotels. I would stay here again if I came back to Firenze.

We loved this hotel. The people were very accommodating, helpful and super friendly. The location and directions to the hotel are exact and we had no trouble getting there on foot from the train station. We intend to visit this location again and we will definitely be staying at Hotel Axial and booking with Venere.

What a perfect location! And just the type of hotel I love to stay in when I'm in Florence; family owned and very friendly and relaxed. The available computers for internet and e-mail were a bonus. I had a single room which was ample in size and very cozy. The triple windows made it exceptionally quiet. All the staff at the front desk were so friendly and helpful. I'm sure this won't be the last time I stay at the Axial!

We had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Axial in Florence. The location is very central to Florence sites such as the Duomo and Uffizi and the staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. The rooms were clean, nice and quiet and the internet access in the lounge was very convenient. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Florence!

Only one point to remark: too hot in the room, especially in the bathroom. We had to open the windows, because of no chance to stop the central heating. Everything else was perfect, we are planning to come back in the same hotel.

This hotel is in the perfect location.It is on the perfect shopping street and right in between the duomo and the uffizi. I would definately stay here again. The staff was incredibly nice.

Terrific location. Staff were excellent, charming and helpful. The room was fine. The entrance, however, was a bit seedy. The hotel name did not appear in the entrance area or on the lift so we had to wander about a bit looking for it. Breakfast was minimal, however, I would certainly recommend this hotel and would visit it again myself.
