The hotel was well situated and convenient for all the major attractions of Florence. Nonetheless, the quality of service provided was medium: the room was cleaned every day, but the veranda infront of it never; breakfast was ok, but not really tasty; there was a garage, but you couldn't move the car at your convenience.

Buen hotel, buen desayuno comparado con otros, personal eficiente. Aparentemente cercano al centro, pero si no te gusta caminar, queda un poco lejos de algunos de los monumentos principales de Florencia. En cualquier caso, lo recomendamos sin ninguna duda.

The hotel was great, room was just like the picture! Breakfast was a bit naff, could eat out alot cheaper. Dont eat in the square really expensive, side streets alot better. Definately go back to florence amazing place, infact planning on getting married there!

Well positioned hotel wih modern facilities. Not overly hospitable. Good bedroom in most respects, but (as we have often experienced in Tuscany) you can either have a bedroom like an oven or open the windows and let the street noise in - either way it's difficult to get a good night's sleep.

This is a great hotel with very modern features. It is extremely well located being within a short walk to the main sights of Florence. We would definitely book this hotel if returning to Florence!

How to reach Hotel Athenaeum

By car
From highway A1, take exit Firenze sud, Firenze nord or Firenze Certosa, follow the indications to piazza della Libertà and continue on via Cavour. The hotel is in the limited traffic area and it is thus necessary to communicate your licence plate number to the hotel, that will in turn ask for a temporary permit in order to avoid fines.

By train
The Santa Maria Novella railway station is only 800 metres from the hotel. Take via Nazionale, turn right on via XXVII Aprile and left on via Cavour.

By airplane
The Florence airport is 8 km from the hotel. Follow the driving directions above, or take the airport shuttle to the central station and proceed on foot following the above-said directions.
